Random Coldplay thought: I think Coldplay should do more soundtracks for films/movies, I think they are really good in writing songs like this. Remember Miracles and Atlas. I love these songs, especially Atlas. v v v v

Snow Patrol's new album REWORKED with 16 songs is out! They did reworked versions of many of their older songs and hits and there is also 3 new songs on the album as well (of which 2 were released before)! I really love this album. These are the ones that stand out for me:

Coldplay will perform at the Maida Vale Studios in London this month! It's been 12 years since the last time Coldplay visited the studio to do a performance back in 2007! Coldplay will do something like an evening session (Chris' words) at Maida Vale Studios, performance announced by Annie Mac here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVgIDJSVV3U:616 Unfortunately, we don't know when they will do this ''evening session''. A little bit country? Alternative-ish? Who would've thought CP would ever release a song like this since GS/AHFOD !?! I am so excited to hear the full song eventually.......... I really hope that the G, W, and J are joining Chris in this song as well. What do you think, will it be a long song (4-5 mins) or a short song (2-3 mins)?

Orphans (SNL dressing room rehearsal) In my opinion, Chris sings actually better here than he did live. I didn't notice any voice crack in this one! For the live performance, I think he was just a bit more nervous. This was also the first live TV performance in 2 years. Jonny once said during an interview that live TV is something that makes the band nervous.

By the way, I agree that Chris wasn't at his best today but it's good to know it was 100% live (his vocals). It makes it sound more human and raw. I love Orphans live. It's obvious that they used the backing tracks of the childrens' (Apple and Moses) vocals? I cannot hear Will singing at all during the choruses, maybe because it's full of them. Someone said they sounded a bit empty? I disagree! The only thing I find a pity is that Chris' guitar has been turned off near the end basically, at least it was too soft! And Jonny's guitar melodies/riffs sounded great live :grinning:

I love the lyrics and melodies of EL, especially Chris' piano! Jonny's guitar is stunning (as always). Will's backing vocals are wonderful. The more I listen to Everyday Life, the better it gets!!!

Many people have done this already, but I really don't like to compare a new song with an (older) Coldplay song. The song is sooo beautiful, full of emotions and has an alternative sound. I think it's perfect the way it is! I might prefer something other than just "halleluja" for the lyrics during the outro but I think Chris sings it in a nice way. The first time he sang "halleluja" live I didn't even notice it until the 2nd time he sang "halleluja". I am not complaining, I love the song. Sounds a bit like the style of their earlier days with a modern twist and it is fan. tas. tic! :heart:
