^ I feel like the strings were a very good addition and made the song a lot better. The piano is very nice and simple IMO. The drumbeat is super poor however most of the reason why it's not as good. The ending part is really good though, the song gets better as it goes! :D

UPDATE: True Believer and Heaven, both with Avicii, were added! You can decide: Do you want "Every Day's Like Christmas" with Kylie Minogue to be added? Chris Martin did write it and is backing vocals, but you can barely hear him, although he is there. And he did write it. Your choice! First option to get 5 votes wins! I have this list of Coldplay songs about 35 songs and they're slower more calming ones. I sometimes listen to it. Up in Flames & Everglow are included. What's interesting is, in contrast to all the others, especially Up In Flames, they seem shallow. Like something's missing. When Up in Flames come on I'm a tad disappointed because I know it's shallow. I still really like Up in Flames since I can feel the emotion in is though, and I still like it a lot, but definetely a drop in quality from the early songs. That being said Oceans,. Fly On & Midnight were comparable so everything's not lost. Just a random thought I wanted to share. Thought it was interesting.

I listened closely and you're right. You can just barely hear her though! It's a small contribution but notable... interesting. Also the "heyyy" is in the middle of the song and actually repeats two times as well. It goes over your mind if you don't think about the fact that it's clearly not Chris Martin singing there.

Honestly and genuinely surprised no one has got this yet. I listened to Everything's Not Lost/LifL and Trouble shortly after a couple days ago, and I noticed, there's a similar set of lyrics here: Life is for Living "As my head just aches, When I think of, The things that I shouldn't have done." Trouble "So I turned to run, The thought of all the stupid things I've done," A very, very similar idea, yet worded differently. :) Maybe that's why no one has got this yet... unless someone has, I can't remember :P By the way why has this thread died? Pretty sure we haven't ran out of similar lyrics yet... Hopefully this comment revives it :p

^ I agree, the live version has a better vibe to it and is more epic IMO, and they could have done a little better on the production, although for me it only degrades the song as a whole a little bit. Not as good as it could be but still a great song IMO.
