Fix You organ sound
If someone here could post a step by step guide of how to get the exact sound on the Triton Rack, that would be incredible. Now I think the secret is well and truly out:joy:

Fix You Strings
Somebody uploaded the stems on here as a Logic Pro X file a while ago which have the strings isolated.

This is interesting.
Exactly..why?! The Glastonbury show wasn’t a normal AHFOD setlist, and Clocks was only the 8th song, so he wouldn’t have needed to rest his voice so much.

This is interesting.
Well that response was a lie, even back in 2014, since the question referred to the whole band and not just Chris. Pretty much all of Jonny and Guy's backing lyrics in the A stage songs, such as the Fix You choir and Jonny's "Every tear, every tear, every teardrop is a waterfall" aren't live (they sound the same in every show and just like the record), as well as some of Chris's backing lyrics in Viva during the Viva tour and in some MX shows, which is especially noticeable in the iTunes Festival show from 2011. I noticed at every recent Coldplay show I've been to (AHFOD and MX tours) that the roadies didn't even test Jonny and Guy's mics on the A stage.

Yes, that’s exactly right, she said it herself in a comment. My only guess is that he did it to save his voice before the show. I think it’s just important and interesting to get the full picture:relieved:

No full visual exists - that is very suspicious. Even if you dig deeper to find the video, the fan actually says she wasn't given a full length video. It's definitely the AHFOD era, just with the fan playing along at the soundcheck. You can see Matthew Miller (the playback rig roadie) filming in the reflection of the piano. Chris says "LB please", whatever that means, as a code to start the playback track and the exact AHFOD lip-sync track starts.

This is interesting.
Actual video is here, but for some reason, that audio section is cut..another giveaway: I've really done my research on this..:joy:

This is interesting.
This video is also a giveaway. The fan in question held up a large sign that some band members, and surely Chris, must have seen, asking to play Clocks. He ignored it, but then returned after they'd put the sign down to throw them his shirt during HFTW.

This is interesting.
I’ve yet to see a normal AHFOD tour show with a 22+ full-length setlist with non-lip-synced Clocks. This had to be a pre-planned thing, especially given Clocks’ position in the setlist. The short promo/TV/charity shows they did on this tour are the only ones where Clocks had live lead vocals.

This is interesting.
If you watch any recorded version of the AHFOD shows, for example the MIA festival, Glasto, or the Chicago VR concert, and look at the time bar, you can see that Clocks falls exactly halfway through. Midnight, played as a filler immediately after Clocks, was clearly not being sung live, and it was just a lip sync of the vocoder parts being played back. Then you have the extended instrumental parts throughout. In the later AHFOD shows, when his voice became more fatigued, Chris started doing the ‘put your phones away’ thing at the start of Charlie Brown, immediately after that, so giving himself an extra vocal rest. I really don’t think, based on this theory, that it’s because he can’t sing Clocks anymore, since HFTW etc. are much more challenging, and it was because he could give himself a rest from the end of Everglow (Mohammed Ali video) to the start of the (restarted) Charlie Brown.

This is interesting.
It doesn’t bother me all that much, especially as Chris gives it everything each and every show and the band have been touring for pretty much 20 years with minimal breaks. It’s more that I’m in a state of denial over it, since his voice was so strong performing this song during the GS tour..

This is interesting.
I thought I’d found a way to prove this definitively. I sent a Freedom of Information request to the BBC, asking why Clocks was cut from the iPlayer version, but it was refused on a technicality, which I find very suspicious. I’m not sure if there is a similar provision to send a request to the Dutch TV station which has Glastonbury broadcast rights, asking why they cut it from their on demand service, but that could be another route.

im taking backing track and multitrack requests!

What's that amazing Jonny Buckland Sound?
- Shiver Chris's chords and Jonn's tabs
Is Jonny using a tap tempo for Shiver at the start of this video? He's tapping something on the edge of his pedalboard in time with the beat, but I don't know whether or not it's a tap tempo as I wasn't aware he ever used one..- Performing "Fly On" AMA
Chris said in this clip (where he actually kicked the fan from the crowd off of the keyboard because he wasn't so good) that he had his keyboard specially made for him because of the size of his hands..! Is this really true? Congratulations on the amazing performance too!- A Head Full of Dreams Film - In Cinemas Nov.14
Totally forgot about LRLRL! Need to dig my copy out from the abyss soon:joy: - Shiver Chris's chords and Jonn's tabs
