I changed my username!
I don't know, other than the lowercase anyway. But your old one looked better and I can't remember why. Ah. So that was it. (I sort of cheated...)

The NME verdict on Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends -
Eeeeeeeeeee! They called "Strawberry Swing" a "stomping ceilidh" and said there's some Irish celtic influences on the album.   I think I'm going to burst. Must. Hear. That. Song.

Doctor Who ???......
You have got to be freaking kidding me. As if the stealing my dream part wasn't messing with me enough, now that. Unless Moffatt throws in some really out there twist, (which he probably will, being him) I won't be able to tell what is show and what is dream by the end. :wreck:

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
Wait a minute... he said "my left hand is much slower". But he's left handed.

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
^That's what's so great about Strombo (well, one of many great things... :wink3:) he can put people at ease and bring that out in them, even when they start out giving him the whole "I'm a hung over rock star who doesn't want to talk to you" bit.

Most Played Song
'See You Soon', 'Moses', and 'For You' according to my last fm. But I don't listen to my cds on the computer, so there aren't any album tracks on the list at all.

Coldplay Survivor - Parachutes Round 1
I couldn't decide between higher speed and we never change... so i picked the latter and instantly regretted it.:lol: Who's voting for everything's not lost? That's one of my favorites. :( Definatly underrated. Man this is going to be tough. Probably worse than the in Rainbows poll. Usually I pick about 3 or 4 that I want to go on, and vote against the others, but I don't think I can narrow this down that much. eep.

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
Oh yeah, and hotplay, you might want to change the thread title, because The Hour is pretty much one of the most web-friendly shows on the planet. They put everything online from podcasts to their website to their own youtube channel. So for anyone outside of the country, it should be pretty easy to see soon after it airs.

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
^OHMYWORD. :shocked2: Now that is priceless. And clears up the info bit. Thanks :nice: The Details (from the blog) "Airing on Friday June 6, 2008, at 11:00 pm will be The Hour's all-access, exclusive full-hour TV special with UK rock sensation, Coldplay. In this recently shot footage, George was given unprecedented access, with one-on-one conversations and sharing candid moments with one of the world’s biggest bands, as they prepare to release their new record, Viva La Vida."

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
Sorry, where did you hear/read that? I can't find it on the website. And are you sure the date is right? June 6th is a Friday- where they re-air the best bits from the past week. So either it's an old interview or they're showing it sooner than that... Great news though, I love Strombo.

Viva La Vida Review From Alan Cross(see who he is inside)
^They just added the old video for that to the timeline under 2005 if anyone's interested... http://www.coldplay.com/timeline.php Good review (minor technicalities aside)... thanks for posting. :)

THREE NEW MOUNTAIN DEW FLAVORS!!!!
^ :laugh3: It's just pop. Vaguely citrusy (normally), and extremely caffeinated. I think Coke owns it. Oh, excuse me, I mean it's just soda. Soft drink, whatever you call it.

^:laugh3: I didn't mean you, I meant the thread in general.

Coldplay get dissed by 1republic
Uh, what? That sounded positive to me, like they're not our favorite but we get where they're coming from and respect them for that. How is that a dis?

Lost?=What If God Was One Of Us?
:laugh3: No, I hadn't noticed it, but I'm not surprised. When I was first learning to play guitar and trying to figure out how chords work that was one of about 5 identically chorded songs my friend used as an example of how different songs can have the same chords. Here's one more for the pile, I guess.

the 2008 F1 thread.
Durr.... I don't like Kimi today. Poor Sutil for sure. That was gutting to see- can't imagine living it. :(

Doctor Who ???......
...You know, for all the whining about license fees, there's plenty of people over here who would gladly pay them for instant access to everything...

Albums that have been released in 2008 that are worth hearing
Ok, I know the whole retro soul thing isn't to everyone's taste around here, but I'm really REALLY loving Duffy's album Rockferry. Once again, like the Last Shadow Puppets, this is the sort of music I've been whining for years that no one makes anymore. And now they are, and I'm happy. :D

Coldplay must play at 432 HZ ALL the time :-)
N00b is as n00b does. Some people belonged here before they ever came. Others need time. Time and a boot to the head. Alas, too many of the latter recently. I have trouble getting my head around more than about 10 at a time. Feel rotten not being able to help them fit in a little better though. But there's just too many. But hey, you're here and talking. :nice:

GIANT TELESCOPE BETWEEN LONDON/NYC

Concerts/Artists you have seen/Are planning to see
Just once- I had to roadtrip all the way to Connecticut for it, since the nearest concerts are a 12 to 14 hour drive away. But totally worth it. And I saw them play one song at the Juno awards. That day made my life. I met Chris! :nice:
