NEW STARS ON COLDPLAY.COM
Heh, I always said it was Phil. It's his writing style- http://web.archive.org/web/20010612051049/www.coldplay.com/journal_archive.shtml And looking for that, look what I found... :stunned: Only the second one I've ever seen. http://web.archive.org/web/20010609133115/www.coldplay.com/journals/jour0000000176.shtml

Coldplay fans: how diverse are we?
I'm 26, from Nova Scotia, and have no idea what to do with my life. Oh yeah, and my name's Mo, I'm a girl, and I'm about 5'8". You know, it is surprisingly nice to be able to catch up with everyone around here. Hello everyone. :nice: You are how old you act around here, thank goodness. I love your avatar! :D Slash girls are an entirely different breed. Most of the rest of us just point at them and laugh. And that's all I have to say about that... I've found Coldplay fans land on every part of the spectrum there. Though I don't drink, myself- I just don't enjoy it.

OMG loooook!!!!!!(bike thread)
I love my bike :nice: Here's basically what it looks like, but it doesn't have shocks, and there's a lot more mud on it than that.

Cannes set for Indiana's return

Doctor Who ???......
:anxious: Ok speaking of dark, sure Stephen Moffatt is my favorite writer at the moment and I really do think he's brilliant, but who told him he was allowed to write about one of my old childhood nightmares? :wreck: Seriously- Me. In that very room they showed. And yes, it was a giant ancient library. Being stalked by a killer shadow. How???? How did he know?:sweatdrop: :uhoh2: :rolleyes4: Part of me wants to run and hide, part of me is thinking how am I going to manage waiting two weeks to see it? (stupid eurovision ) And yes, this week was fantastic. So much fun. :D

Volunteer work
What about YWAM? I know a lot of people who have done it and loved it.

has anyone noticed...
Yeah, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I've just finished my first full cycle around here (started lurking a little over 3 years exactly). Major deja vu. Except that now I know what the old regulars were going on about instead of thinking they were just being whiny about everything.

When will Rick break the 40,000 post mark?
39,624 posts, 13 days left this month. Hmm. Not sure if it will be May or June. But probably May.

Meeting the band?
Hate to break it to you, but it's about 99% luck. ...the other 1% being a combination of determination and planning. I lucked out big time- my friend was even more obsessed than me, and got the bright idea to hang around the back door of the arena right around what turned out to be soundcheck. But that was an awards show when everything was set up a bit different. From what I saw at the one proper concert I made it to, security is a lot tighter at those, and the venues aren't in the middle of downtown next to a public sidewalk you can legally hang around on. Some people seem to get to meet them by lining up early.... *shrug* I can honestly say Chris is one of the nicest guys I've ever had the honour of meeting, but remember they are human- they have good days and bad days, sometimes they want to talk to fans and others they don't. So don't be disappointed if for all of your planning and effort that 99% luck factor doesn't work out completely or you catch them on a bad day.

You can hear Lost! in this video...
^I know, and yet it sounds so incredibly Coldplay-ish, all of it (so far). I love how they do that. :nice: eeeee... I'm getting so excited!

coldplay vs radiohead
You know, sometimes I think the older ateasers don't bother to tell the newer ones that they go board crashing around here every few months because they like to have a laugh at all the people who try and wonder why we don't get so upset anymore. Or maybe it's because they know enough of us are atease regulars that we won't fight back. Whatever it is, it's soooo old. :sleeping2:

Milk Teeth
So it's been a while since I looked them up.... :uhoh: If every you want proof that rumors were just pulled out of some bloggers imagination, apparently they've changed their name. They're now known as "The Hunger Pangs". And their bassist just left. But who knows. Most of the new songs are quite good- much better than some of their old ones. http://www.myspace.com/hungerpangs Yeah, that was probably them- they did support the Subways for a bit.

You can hear Lost! in this video...
Ooh.... nice find! I love the rhythm in it.

Violet Hill FULL VIDEO!
:stunned: That's more or less what I was thinking... well, the extras part, anyway. The video finished and I half expected that "over the hills and far away" song to start playing. (Actually, looking it up now there's even some vague similarity between the songs... or maybe I'm just crazy.) Hey, wasn't some of the show filmed somewhere around that area? The terrain looks really similar. I like it, anyway. :nice:

- Songs that annoy you?
This is the song that doesn't end, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because This is the song that doesn't end, yes it goes on and on my friend... Heh... the moment anyone utters the phrase "most annoying song", visions of endless school bustrips (made endless by that stupid song) come flooding back.- Some Commercials Are So STOOPID!
^ew. no.- Apple to fix Coldplay "Viva La Vida" error
Yeah, I got the 256 file, or at least that's what the file says. And it has to be itunes plus, because it works on my Zen.- Helicopter Crashes on Residential Street
I never know how to react to these things. Very sad. VERY sad. Very bizzare.- Helicopter Crashes on Residential Street
B.C. helicopter crash kills 4, including pedestrian Updated Tue. May. 13 2008 10:35 PM ET CTV.ca News Staff Residents in a small B.C. community watched in horror Tuesday afternoon as a helicopter dropped from the air, hit a pedestrian, and exploded into a fireball in the middle of their street. Four people died in the accident, which happened Tuesday afternoon in Cranbrook, a small town about 840 kilometres east of Vancouver. In addition to the pedestrian who was crushed by the chopper, the pilot and two passengers also died. Witnesses say the helicopter was flying low to the ground for several minutes but there didn't appear to be any problems. Richard Fairchild saw the crash, which happened right in front of his residence. He told CTV Newsnet that the chopper had barely cleared a large pine tree and "within a second-and-a-half it crashed right in front of us -- literally in front of our window." "Unfortunately, (the helicopter hit) a pedestrian on the sidewalk," Fairchild said. He said helicopter's fuel then burst into flames. "It didn't crash at a high speed. The pilot had been trying to control it, but the motor was out at that point and he fell the last 15 feet." more here- Some Commercials Are So STOOPID!
It's a joke... but it's a joke that they've taken to a massive level- new cereal boxes, billboards, tv ads, HUGE campaign. And apparently it's working- sales up by double digit percents. It still makes my head hurt. Oh, and it gets better.... :wreck:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOuC5jjTZOI oh, and apparently the guy who dreampt it up watches waaaay too much of the Colbert Report... http://www.macleans.ca/business/companies/article.jsp?content=20080507_56414_56414- Doctor Who ???......
^Spinoff time. :laugh3: Nah, but I do want her to come back again. She's cute. I've been wondering, especially after this episode... Why is it that the real true scifi concepts in this show always need multiple viewings to sort of 'get'? And then everyone watches it once and complains it doesn't make sense, when really it's some of the most brilliant high-concept scifi on tv in a while? It's so annoying having people whining about it (I'm not referring to present company for the record) What if we had the technology to sort of mechanically reproduce very very quickly without having to bother with all that biological stuff? What effects could it have on societies? (Like warping time- 7 days to legend instead of 100) What sort of relationships would it involve? Would we still be responsible to them? That's old school scifi there. Classic. No one bothers with that stuff on tv much anymore- space opera will always get more viewers than big heavy questions. It's really a pity there wasn't more time to explore it all properly. Man, I love this show. :D- Radiohead
WOW! :o Those pics are amazing. Thank you! :nice: If you don't mind, what type of camera do you use? And did you use a flash?- RESULTS! COLDPLAYING'S FAVORITE ARTISTS OF ALL TIME!!!!!
