  1. 1,999,418 acording to the main page... less than 600 to go!
  2. It's funny- we don't have Tesco here- I used to think it was a gas station after I heard it mentioned in a Franz Ferdinand song

Forums are like fishbowls. Just the nature of the place. It took me months of lurking before I signed up for an account here, and there are plenty of other forums I read regularly but never post on. But yeah, I'm also one of the ones who rarely signs in, because I always spend too much time here when I do. Like today. :dozey: Here's some food for thought.... the weirdest thing about lurking on any board in general is getting attached to a certain group of regulars who don't even know you exist.
  4. Better the NME than the Sun. Still hasn't said it's definite yet, though. By the way.... that is one really, really ugly suit!
  5. I dont' know, really. Same reason I hate most grunge, I guess. Self pity, sadness, beating yourself up for something (like in Just) none of that I mind, but actual selfloathing? Can't stand it. I get Creep stuck in my head, and I feel like crap for the rest of the day.
  6. There's something about cuttooth... I don't know what, but I like it. Something about the way it sounds. It's almost like liquid sunshine. :sunny: And yeah, it's one of the Amnesiac b-sides. Honestly, the only song of theirs that I've heard that I could actually say I hate (still too strong a word though) is Creep.
  7. Yay! Good stuff! Loved the little homework sticker on the dvd.
  8. ^No, it never is when more than half the favorite characters have completly dissappeared off the face of the script. I am officially bored of the others. The whole show originally worked because of an awesome cast bringing some really interesting characters to life, with some mystery on the side, and now most of the best characters have either been killed off or ignored. Nice to see Charlie last week, but what about Locke? and Sayid? and Hurley? We need more Hurley. And what was with Jack's flashbacks? Have they gotten so used to being mysterious that they can't even make sense when it would be just fine to? Oi. I hate ranting about a favorite show. So I'll stop now.
  9. It's not fair to say that the parents are responcible for ALL of it, but in my experience, a messed up relationship with the parents can lead to that sort of thing. This woman dragged her daughter to court, forced her to get an abortion against her will (and yeah, even if she didn't want to take care of it, adoption was an option) and the poor girl is locked up in a psych ward, yelling that she wants to kill herself. Does that sound like any sort of a healthy relationship to any of you? Like a mother who actually cared about the well-being of her daughter? I'm thinking that there were some serious problems before all of this began.
  10. :smash: :stunned: I have an entire set of those exact boxes! I use them to store all of my art supplies in. Random seeing them on the board.
  11. Not a topic I like to get going on, but whatever happened to 'pro choice'?
  12. Ew boy cooties. :laugh3: Actually, worse than cooties.... we might be punned to death! :wreck: :p
  13. This is starting to remind me of when I was little, and all the neighbourhood kids would get together and argue about which treehouse/toolshed/garage belonged to which club as their not so secret 'secret headquarters' (even though none of the clubs existed an hour earlier) Except it always ended up being girls against boys...

    :laugh3: I'm sure they would
  15. Personally, I don't particularly like it, but I don't particularly dislike it either. I generally avoid songs with intentional swearing in them, so that kind of turned me off of it. *shrug* I've always been under the impression that it was a fan favorite, though.
  16. One of the coolest things I've noticed about hdtv is that you can see how almost all actors get zits. Random, but it doesn't look bad, it just makes them look human. Such a silly thing to write an article about. That said, look at her pupils...
  17. Well she's supposedly in rehab for real this time...
  18. You don't HAVE to be brave... stupid works too! :jester:
  19. Now I've got that Rob Dougan song stuck in my head.  Um yeah, passing fad. :dozey:
  20. Yeah God exists... I was just talking to him a minute ago.
  21. No prob. Hope it helps. :D
  22. Ok, where it is a mac file, you can mess around with it in itunes. -Go to itunes, on the file menu, select add file to library, and find the file you want to convert -right click on the file when it shows up in the library. There will be an option that says 'convert file to .mp3' or 'convert file to .wav' or some other file extention. -if you want to convert it to a different file type than is offered, go to edit, select preferences, click on the 'advanced' tab, and then click on the 'importing' tab. It will give you the option 'import using:' and then you can select the file type you want to convert to. Go back to the library and do step 2.
  23. Can't you just convert it to something else with itunes? I'm pretty sure I have some aiff stuff i've done that with... doublechecking.
