When put like that, I can understand it (and usually I really try not to sympathize towards suicide, for my own sake). My only qualm would be that Gonzo really did some amazing things in his life time, he became such a figure for so many people. I think he earned his way out of this world. But just fucking yourself up, not giving anything back to the world, then just killing yourself... To me that's sort of a waste. So I guess if you earn your way out, while getting fucked up, well... Sure. I wouldn't do it, because I don't plan to mess around in drugs or alcohol or partying or any of that sort of lifestyle. I've definately got my eyes set on another road. The whole thing really should change, though, if you have a family. Then it's not just you killing yourself, but a part of those people. That's just wrong.

An idea that I had was to have an open thread where people could leave their messages to Zali. One of us mods would copy each of the messages (along with the names of the posters who left the messages, and real first names or nick names would be appreciated so we can stay away from him reading confusing usernames ;) ). We'd then print it out and that could be one of the letters sent to him! That way you guys don't have to spend a ton of money to mail your letters, and possibly get the address or information wrong. Does something like that seem like something you guys would participate in?

I'm tempted to send out PM notifications of the update on Zali to people who have shown interest, but I really don't want to do that again... (I actually don't listen to The Who that much anymore, and I think the Stones sold out after I saw them live... so that's ok LOL) I haven't seen RH live yet, but I was planning to see them at the Boston Pavilion this June. Went on to get tickets and was blocked out by all the scalpers. There's 10 pages of scalped tickets 300 bucks+ on ebay now. Unbelievable, huh??? I'm trying to find extra tickets that fans might be selling for face value, or up to 80 bucks per ticket. Anything higher than that is ridiculous. (HERE THAT PEOPLE, IF YOU HAVE RADIOHEAD TICKETS GIVE ME THEM. :( )
