lmfao, religion's ridiculous. It's just a form of brainwashing the masses, and it always has been. I don't belittle people who have a strong conviction for it, as long as it's GENIUNE. And not political, or to get attention, or whatever. I think it's pretty hysterical when people are like "Oh shit, it's SUNDAY? I have to go to church!". Well, if you cared, wouldn't you have been all ready, etc? Organized religion is not about individuality, it's about conforming. The "thing" that I believe in is not something that judges you on what you eat, what you wear, who you talk to, who you share a bed with. That being judges you on what you've done for the world, and those in it. I could care less about eating meat on a Sunday at 2pm to get my free ticket through the pearly gates. But hell, I'm vegetarian, so maybe I'm lucky. LMFAO.

Well, I think the problem with CFU is that... it didn't do anything. We'll have to work on making this very active, with lots of things for people to do. Since Coldplay's tour's winding down now, maybe we can start getting active and make plans for the next one. Shirts, etc. I really love the shirt idea! :lol: I want one that says "CHRIST MARTIN". I like buying clothes, but what would make it even better would be to know that all the proceeds are going to charity to help people. I think a seperate section would be really great, because we could make threads for each of these things, keep it really organized and do a lot of good. Thanks for being so helpful, Ian! A complaint about Coldplay? The fans. Not you guys on here (for the most part, that is). But the ones at the concerts. Idiots, all of 'em. And the stupid presale situation. How disorganized and pathetic was that? Completely useless. I have no complaint about the guys, because I don't think any of us are in the position to be able to voice our valid complaints about them as people. None of us know them, eh? But I haven't seen any of that, so yay! Oh, wait. One thing I do hate is that Guy went on SNL with his wedding ring on. Without me knowing anything before that. What a horrible way for me to realize that he was cheating on me!!!!!

I really, really like it!:D It's very KEANE to me. Maybe they wanted something that looked cute, but at the same time kind of weirdly darker. That way the listener won't assume anything when they pop it in. I don't know. But I needed to say that. This thread needed some love...:sick:

I think everyone's free to hold their opinions. Everyone's free to disagree. No one's entitled enough to force them on another person. Let's all keep that in mind.;) I've come to the decision that I do not believe in this. I can't. It's absolutely beyond me to do so. I can't give reasons for why I don't, they've already been discussed for one. Something inside of me tells me that is not what happened on September 11th. I like the intelligent backing up of this argument, it's definately appreciated if just from a debate standpoint. I've seen the people on the streets of New York with the wacky, far out signs. I've seen people standing outside the gates surrounding Ground Zero with banners reading "9/11-THE GREAT AMERICAN COVER UP". It made me sick. How disrespectful is that? Someone came up to me and asked me if I wanted to buy a video tape of the entire day's events. I told them to fuck off and shove it. I'm not going to pretend to value an opinion like that, or respect it. (And what I just wrote, for the record, is not directed at ANYONE in here, I'm just writing in general about how I felt when that happened.) When talking about conspiracy theories, you have to be very sensitive to how the other side feels. I've been hardened against them, simply because I hate the way the people who preach about them act. Thanks Ian!:D I really would like this to stay inside Coldplaying, most definately! It IS Coldplaying Charity Club, afterall! If it were based somewhere else, well, it'd defeat the purpose! What'd I'd love is this to become a real community thing. Bring everyone together. I think there have been some weird dynamics going around, and maybe with this we can bring all Coldplaying people together for a good cause:) We shouldn't MAKE people pay to "get in" either, I hope it's not coming across as that. And I don't think it should totally be "members" based. It should be open to everyone, and the members can be people who have specific jobs, like flier making/whatever, shirt designing, managing the "shop" (?possibly?). You know? I hope I'm making sense!

I saw it! Whooooo, it was great! I didn't know there was that much to Rose and Bernard. I'm glad she told him in the end and he didn't freak out on her. They're so sweet. I knew she had to know something about Locke, I just didn't know she noticed him that... noticably. LMFAO that made no sense. But they both share each other's secrets now, that's cool. Boy, how about Jack and Kate in the net.... Talk about sexual tension. "Grab my gun!" "Oh, Ok! And it does have a relation to Coldplay... Hm. Maybe we could get a mod here to sticky it! Then we'll start building up attention, hopefully working our way up to our own portion of the board like CFU had. I hope you don't mind if I use what you have in your signature... I want people to start recognizing it and maybe if they were all similiar people will start saying "Hey, what's this? I don't want to be left out! *goes to check it out!*" We need to start pimping this around. I was hoping the shirt idea (and not JUST charity themed shirts) would get people motivated. It'd definately be fun to design them. Maybe things like "Coldplaying.com" and on the back "Not just a forum..." LMFAO! I'll keep bumping this, to make sure it doesn't drop any pages. And I'll post whenever I find a new charity/organization/ whatever that might be worthwhile. :)

Sorry I haven't been involved in the past few days, it's the last week before school vacation and things are insane around here. Not much time to stop by and get updated. I love all the new ideas, guys! I think we could pimp it around a bit, make little sayings like "Make Coldplaying more than just a forum, join the Coldplaying Charity Club and do some good while logged in!" or whatever. I hope we get our own area of the forum, or at LEAST get this stickied. It's certainly important enough. It would be really cool to see this grow and develop into a real compaign. Think about it, all these people logged in. Thousands of us Coldplaying people, right? Well, think what we all could do with just one dollar! That's quite a bit of money if everyone just bought a pin, or a shirt, or gave a little bit. Or made fliers, etc. I suggest everyone put it in their profiles, I am! (wait, how do you put a link in your profile? I'm dumb....) Has Ian mentioned anything about actually making shirts with the Coldplaying name on them, or whatever? He created this place and we'll need his full support and authority to do what we want. We can't go stealing his name and doing whatever we want with it. But it could be a really great little grass roots campaign, a forum.... but also a forum that does good!:)
