  1. I think it was Guy's total :dozey: face when Chris said it that made it so funny. LMFAO!!!! Ahhh.... He's got so many funny quotes I can't even begin to think of just ONE. But the stunt he pulled at my show on the 4th was brilliant. Getting the girl onstage because she was calling someone, telling her that THEY'LL give her a new office job!

I've got to go with 'Y' because Twisted Logic is on that. And that's my favorite song on the whole album.
  3. Don't worry, I get exactly what you're saying. I did everything backwards, though. Coldplay was my first band that I ever liked. I discovered them after the 'Trouble' video came out on MTV, jeez... was that 2001?? I don't know, but I think it's been about 5 or 6 years now that I've liked them. About 2 years ago I "discovered" the Beatles and wouldn't have gotten into them as much as I did if it hadn't been for the similarities I could hear through Coldplay's music. The same goes for U2, who are now my favorite band in the whole world. I can't thank Coldplay enough for coming into my life when they did, because then I wouldn't be into all these other great bands! I must compliment you, Awhisper21, for someone who has only "recently" (well, a year is fairly recent) become a Coldplay fan, two concerts in a row is quite an accomplishment!!! I've been a fan for a long time and I haven't even managed that!!;)
  4. Fuck, I'd be ecstatic if Chris Martin wrote a song about MY boobs!!!! square_1, LMFAO! A pig in a puddle... exactly what I think everytime I see her!! I think it's pretty clear what my feelings toward her are. Ewwww.
  5. That is definately my favorite Chris quote. Ever. It was priceless because I watched it with my mom and she completely cracked up when he said it.
  6. This man is perfect. I've just come to that conclusion, after 5 years of study. He is perfect.
  7. I'm positive it was the Beatles' version, it probably just sounded a lot different being blasted over the PA, bouncing around the place. ;) I don't know if there is a setlist for the stuff they play over the PA, but I enjoyed it as well and would also like to know! Hm... Perhaps a question that would be better asked in the everything music section! People could know around there...
  8. heh! Have you seen the new Rolling Stone (US)? Obviously he is neither of our's man....
  9. Gah, I'm terrified of the random people staring into space as well! It's like... my ultimate nightmare. So everytime they pull that, on Lost, I flip out. He reminded me and my brother of Gollum too!!!! But he's definately an other, especially when he mentioned "Him" and "HE'll kill me". I've got a semi-theory/noticed a theme. Everytime there's an episode that involves someone noticing someone staring at them, like when Jack saw his father or Hurley saw "Dave", there are always abandoned shoes involved. In the first episode, the pilot, Jack wakes up in the forest (I wonder how he got there?) and starts running back to the beach. On his way you see a pair of white tennis shoes hanging from a branch. These shoes were later seen on his father. When Hurley ran after Dave, he found his slipper. I think that the theme is that they are all running from their past, therefore the symbolism of the lost shoes. Lost keeps getting better and better!
  10. Oh yes, the Weapons of Mass Destruction are definately in there!!!:wink3: LMFAO!
  11. The American Revolution was so boring... I wish we had something like the French Revolution. Now that was awesome. The Reign Of Terror.... mmmm. (my favorite thing I've ever studied in history class)
  12. I agree, definately. Everybody's got their problems, regardless of the fact that they go up on stage every night or not. It's just sometimes it's easy to forget while you're in the midst of hero worshipping someone....! ;)
  13. lmfao um.... Well, that's because it IS brit rock. The ORIGINAL britrock! It's 'Tomorrow Never Knows' by The Beatles ;)
  14. I've always wanted to pop Mariah's boobs. Ew. She's such a slut.
  15. :shifty: Hm.... Well... could I borrow Tom at some point.....? :smartass: :uhoh:
  16. Ok, this might be sort of random, but I thought I might as well get a semi-discussion going on. I was watching the Strangers DVD last night (the tour doc) and something Tim said stood out to me "Sometimes I get horribly depressed". Now, he could have been saying this in jest, but I don't know. I'm listening to 'Snowed Under' right now, and I feel like I just know exactly what this song is about (I've suffered with depression, as well). So, do you people think that Tim might actually be depressed (not MAJORLY, or anything, just wondering)? It means absoluetly nothing to me, but it'd actually be kind of interesting for me to know. I've taken a lot of the songs and applied them to my life, my feelings, and it'd be kind of cool to know that they actually WERE written about that. Or something.
  17. Come to the US soon, Keane!!:) I can't wait to see them live! My friend and I are already making plans to stalk them around New England, heh!
  18. Welcome to the boards, tilkingdomcome! Always nice to have another U2 fan/Coldplay fan around! Heh, do you remember if it was ZooTV you saw or POPmart?
  19. Thank you, Steph! I feel the same way. I've never cared about videos, personally (that's why I was so not bothered by Coldplay's 'Hardest Part' video). Ususally I just like them because they're a free excuse for me to spend a few minutes staring at mah men....:wink3:
  20. Has this been posted recently? I just found it on flickr.
  21. I think I'm sort of quiet around people in the real world because whenever I start to talk I end up saying words all wrong, since I have a little speech problem and then I feel stupid. It's so much easier just typing!
  22. Well, I have friends online, but I've never met them in "real life" yet (speaking of which, holy shit Kelli you get yo bitch ass to Ireland LMFAO <3). Erm, well all my school friends who I talk to online are basically exactly the same. We don't even tone down our language, half the time. I think I'm a lot less articulate in person, though... I have a lot of anxiety when around people in social settings, so I tend to close up. When I'm online, though, I don't have that issue. So I just talk and talk. I'm much uglier in person, as well.:rockstar:
  23. I enjoyed him a lot. (are we talking about him in regards to opening for Coldplay, or generally?) I thought he was an appropriate opener. I haven't gotten too much into his solo stuff, but I do love the work he did with The Verve (not just limited to 'Symphony', either). The sound was a bit off, but that's to be expected for an opening act. I've never heard one (except for Keane when they opened for U2) who had a REALLY good sound quality. That detracted from the experience, I think, overall. I liked him because the time definately passed quickly, unlike with some openers. He didn't make any weird comments at my show, except for a few about how shitty the crowd was being. I've never witnessed a colder reception (saw him at Mohegan Sun, by the way). I was the only one cheering at one point, which was sort of pathetic. I guess I'm predisposed to artists who ramble on, though, since I'm a U2 fan... LMFAO!
  24. I think that it depends on what the joke is about. Personally, I believe that a lot of jokes that have to do with racism are rooted in fear and hate. They're just passive aggressive ways of showing that, with the excuse being it's a "joke". Same goes for Holocaust jokes... Those just aren't funny, they're way too close to reality. So yeah, it depends on the subject, to me.
  25. Jonny's Fluffer oh. my. god. LMFAOOOOOOOOO That would win best shirt ever. I definately think this could be a cool and fun idea, as well as being for a very good cause.
