  1. My aunt and uncle have 4 girls. One girl's 10, while all the others are 4. Yep. They had triplets. Just for the record, my aunt's crazy. Katherine's the 10 year old and she's completely ignored by her family now. It's all about the triplets. Blah blah blah. It's absolutely horrible. So everytime we have a family party, I make a point of giving Katherine extra special attention. She's such a sweetheart in so many ways, but her parents don't see that because they're distracted by the three other girls and their problems. And now my aunt's going on about wanting another baby and they're getting a golden retriever puppy soon. God help them. I think people have mental problems where they get obsessional with their bodies, along with the need for children. Unbelievable...

OH MY GOD YOU SAW THAT?! :o
  3. I also really don't like the idea of people having to make the shirts totally by themselves. What if they just don't come out right, etc? I know that I once tried to make an iron on shirt and uh..... well after a couple washes it started to peel off and that was the end of that. With cafepress/missionfish I think that they make the shirts themselves, ship them themselves, but all money and that gets sent to the owner of the shop. I think? Or am I wrong with this? I've gotten an idea, I'm going to start PMing new people, and just a lot of people in general on here, to let them know about this. A lot of people in the lounge section don't ever visit here, so I think I'm going to make a thread letting them know. Does that sound ok to you guys? I'm going to in particular "target" the new people, it would be nice to get them involved, make them feel really welcome. Plus, I've been accused of being a "bitch" to new members ( ) so maybe this will shut people up. LMFAO
  4. By god, lunar1126 (oh, and this is off topic, but is there something easier I can call you?), I'm absolutely amazed by your work. I applaud you ten fold for making this so doable!!! I think that if I explained to my parents about this whole thing, and the charity involved, blah blah, they could approve my involvment in regards to handling shipping, or whatever. Perhaps if we WERE to make them ourselves, then we could do that, have people email the gmail account, get addresses that way, then have those who can be trusted to make/ship/handle expenses in regards to the shirt can split the people who want the shirts equally. Did any of that make sense? However.... I still don't know about that... I'm not TOTALLY comfortable with giving out my own address, let alone how some other people might feel (some people are pretty young and with credit cards, would HAVE to go through their parents). I'm drawn to cafepress. The shirts might seem expensive, but for shirts, that's an incredibly good price. The shipping and production is a huge, HUGE bonus. Then we could just handle the money and stuff through the gmail. I also really like the missionfish, however... Some of the charities directly linked to Coldplay aren't on there. I love Amnesty and UNICEF, though. Those are ones I lean towards, personally. Talking about the wells, and how the U2 comm got behind one major idea, are we thinking of doing something like that? I think that the shirts and merchandise is really cool for just simple donations to charities (who, we'll have to decide later/soon). But what if we came up with a really incredible project? I'm going to start scouring around to see if there are things going on that need help, or need to be stopped, whatever (sorry for the use of "whatever" here, I realise that sounds kind of flippant). Again, thank you to EVERYONE for being involved with this! I think we're going to need help, but in the end all our hard work will be rewarded time and time again!

LMFAOO! Sorry for my tirade, it's just that really really annoyed me! I think rep is something that people who have known you gives you when they like you, or hate you. And it's pretty insulting to get some negatives, along with the comments I've recieved. It just got to the point where I can't listen to these newbies calling me mean, when they obviously don't know me.:dozey:

Excuse me, but can I please tell people to stop giving me negative rep points and calling me mean, in general? Because I'm not. I can't help it that I was the first one to open their mouths about someone writing in txt spk on here, which I had to translate. The reason I got upset about that was that she used someone else's avatar. So everything about it annoyed me. Shit, and I didn't know she had carpal tunnel. Awww, how about thiiis? I welcome her and give every new person a big fuckin' kiss and you stop calling me mean in your rep comments? How about thaaaat? Is that gooood? Holy crap. You new people... you don't know me, and if you did, you'd know I've never been mean to anyone around here. Just leave me alone.
  7. ^If you had money coming out your ass, I'd love you:wink3: LMFAO Uhm.... Well, it all depends on the circumstances. Ideally, I'd like to be rich and have the world love me.:smug: Much like Britney Spears! Ok, or not. But I would like to have money so I could do good with it, which is my semi-goal in life. Personally, I don't much go for incredibly materialistic people, and I don't consider myself one... So I'd rather be poor. With someone rich who's in love with me. Yes. That sounds about right.
  8. The official boards are laughably ridiculous. I once read a thread where some dick was saying that people who are poor deserve to be, and should just die. I didn't go back after that, just came here. It's like a few cliquey asswipes got ahold of that place and turned it into a sewer. Thank god that's not happening here...... :uhoh: OR IS IT?! And I love how whoever maintains the place moves threads ABOUT Coldplay into the General section because they're "off topic". Uh..... Coldplay stuff is offtopic when it's about... Coldplay? Idiots.
  9. You've got to record it, then play it backwards...;) And turn it up looooud. Playing it at night helps. LMFAOOOO Stairway to Heaven is, however, one of the most overrated songs of all time. Except for the solo. The solo's amazing, I give it that. Particularly live, which I have a few of. Personally, I think the best Led Zep song is Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp... But then again, no one knows what that even is. LMFAO
  10. Yeah, and a lot of shit about a toolshed. LMFAO It's definately there, I've listened to it every which way and yes. It is there. As for the meaning of it, well, Jimmy Page did dabble quite publicly in the "dark arts", and occultism. Kind of creepy....
  11. 1. The Edge The Edge The Edge The EEEEDGE *hero much?* 2. BB King 3. Jimmy Page 4. Jonny Greenwood 5. Jonny Buckland EDIT: Oh, screw that. I realize this is for FAVORITE. And even if Jonny isn't the best, or the most influential, he's still a favorite!
  12. I hardly ever visit the U2 website, I get my news elsewhere. I keep subscribed so I can get my GA tickets, though.... Other than that, it doesn't mean much to me. I'm thinking maybe with the U2 fans, and the actual organizations... maybe with them we could share some ideas. I don't know though, I'm new to all this organizing and stuff! LOL! But glad to know you're here, and you're willing to pitch in.
  13. OH MY GOD THE Q PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JFDKL;AJFKLDSBJ Sorry, but that was my absolute FAVORITE photoshoot of Chris ever. His hair was sooo perfect then. Damn, oh my god. I loved the picture from that magazine so much I drew it. Now I've got two new pictures to draw!!!! Thank you!
  14. lmfao. I thought that was sperm?
  15. an_cat replied to Nettie's topic in Coldplay
Well I certainly never reported it:thinking: It's not that big of a deal to me, and I wasn't trying to be cruel about it. Just letting her know that we like to keep txt speak out of forums;) I'm done, and I hope the negative rep points that keep coming my way are done too.:dozey:
  16. Wow, Tinker! Firstly, let me just say a HUUUUUGE welcome from me! I'm involved in the U2 fan community, as well as here, and I knew about the stories you just told. In fact, I mentioned something like that earlier in this thread but I just didn't know the whole story, so I couldn't really get that much info on how it was run. But now that you're here, I'm sure you could help a LOT! So you played a part in having the whole "Build a well for Bono's birthday!" campaign? That's so cool! I love the Brothers+Sisters idea, and I agree that we should leave "unite" out. This should be a no borders campaign, afterall, no matter where you live we've got to "carry each other";) EDIT: Oy, I left my little happy rant out! Well, what I would really like to see happen with this is something similiar to what the U2 fans did. Now that Coldplay is so world wide known, and so popular, I think it's time that the huge fanbase really get together and do good. Much like the U2 fans have done. Maybe we can even partner up with the U2 comm (yikes, I don't know how that'd fair....), as a sister project? I don't know, I'm just blabbing and throwing random thoughts out there and see what becomes of them.
  17. Hey, was just catching up with what I've missed in the past couple days. Looks like Missionfish is what we're looking for. We'll have to work out the technicalities of "who's going to manage it??" stuff. I'm going to do a google search and see if there are any other forums (no matter WHAT the forum is associated with) which does something like this. I would be very willing in managing a g-mail account, and I'm perfectly ok with whatever the password turns out to be ;) I have a very good memory. (No elephant jokes, now!!!) Feel free to PM me, anybody, about possibilities. I'm going to start pimping this around the internet. Heh. And this is totally unrelated, but Allie, you have an LJ? Cool! You wouldn't mind if I added you? I don't update my LJ often at all (I stick to my Greatest Journal most of the time), but I always read my friends list. Guh, looks like Amnesty International and UNICEF is supported by missionfish... I absolutely LOVE both of those organizations! Keep posting guys, this is EXCELLENT! I love to see all the members who don't post that often coming out and giving us their support! Keep it comin'!:)
  18. Watch out now, take care Beware of the thoughts that linger Winding up inside your head The hopelessness around you In the dead of night Beware of sadness It can hit you It can hurt you Make you sore and what is more That is not what you are here for --George Harrison
  19. It's a Monty Python song, from their movie Meaning Of Life.;) Check it out, it's brilliant LMFAO
  20. I'm so confused.
  21. Oh dear, I can only imagine!!!! Goofy dances like a freak! haha
  22. LMFAO! Nice.
  23. It's always better to shoot for idealism than settle for less than mediocracy.
  24. Heh, I have every U2 vinyl (including their live releases) from the 80s, EXCEPT October! Damn!
