  1. DAMN! :o More pictures, more pictures!!!
  2. Hasn't been that much going on in the U2 world lately, but I did stumble across the official video for the U2/Mary J. Blige video for 'One' today. See it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=EMBbY_ZAIIk Here's what I wrote about it in my personal journal: I still don't know how I feel about this. I'm kind of sick of this song being bastardized to DEATH. If I have one beef with U2 it's for them to stop the obsession with 'One' and never do another compilation with any of their songs again. Unless it's with someone I like and hand pick. Seriously, though. 'One' isn't an angry song. I don't like all the yelling Mary J. Blige does. And I wasn't too big on it during the Hurricane Relief/Grammy shows. All I wanted was U2. Alone. The guys look good though, from the shadows you can see of them... Whatever. Nothing beats a buffalo running and sunflowers. That should have been it, U2!!! :(
  3. I haven't seen 'Match Point' yet, but I've heard it being hyped around and called "excellent and sexy". I never believe the hype, though. Interesting how a lot of the critically aclaimed films suck big time. 'Crash' being MY example. But I guess it's all a matter of taste... *shrug*
  4. I love her converses, I have the same!!
  5. Thanks, heh! Edge looking slightly devious, there. It amuses me.
  6. Whenever it's in my house, the jug of sangria becomes my best friend on a Saturday night. I friggin' love wine, but I'm not a huge beer fan. Sangria is very nice, yes yes. Oh, are we not talking alcoholic here? Whoops. lmfao, I like water, other than that.
  7. I'm sooooo excited! Less than 3 months!!!
  8. :shocked2: LMFAO he still looks the same, though. Well, obviously he does. But... I still imagine a ghost puking on him...
  9. The worst movie I've seen, in a VERY long time, was 'Crash'. That might surprise people (it did just win the best movie Oscar). But I literally felt sick to my stomach by the end of it. And not because it was SO good. Or because it was graphic. It was just... bad. It was like 'Love, Actually'. Only instead of everybody being in love, everybody hated each other. Yeah, ok. One day a cop's molesting a black woman. The next day he's saving her from a burning vehicle that he "happens upon" on the streets of LA. lmfao, LA's friggin' huge. I don't think that happens in the real world, outside of Hollywood town. Sorry. I just REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hated the movie. There's not enough room for all my reallys. I agree with ClearAsCrystal, though, when it comes to hating the generic stupid teenage films. All my friends love those kind of films. 3 weeks ago I went out to eat with my friends, then we went to the movie theater. I went to see 'Brokeback Mountain'. They all went to see 'Final Destination 3'. I came out out my theater crying. They came out of their's indifferent. Movies like that are such a waste of time. /done.
  10. NIK!!! Thank you (as usual)!!!!!!!! :D
  11. You can't argue with the numbers. They're there, hardcore proof of the lies this administration fed to us to get the majority of this country to go along with it. (I was never one of those people, just for the record.)
  12. Show me the REM video and song.
  13. You guys, can't we get a code of decency here at Coldplaying? Let's leave all sexually promiscuous conversations for chat sessions on AIM or whatever, or somewhere private. Let's all remember this is PUBLIC. I'd be friggin' mortified if any of the guys saw this. It surprises me that no one else would. Let's respect Chris, Jonny, Will and Guy.
  14. Is this a poll basically saying who has the biggest penis? Because, really....... it's kind of embarressing to me to even post in it....:shifty: Whatever, I guess I just don't think about the guys like that anymore... I respect them too much as decent human beings deserving privacy. I certainly wouldn't like people posting pictures of my crotch all over the place. I don't know why Coldplay is any different... [/end_party_pooping]
  15. Actually, we're all using common sense and reason, all in our own way. It's just some of us actually like to back up what we think with proven data/quotes/etc. It's what all scholarly, thoughtful people have to do if they ever want to be taken seriously. I can hardly read what you have to say because the grammer's so horrible. If you want to debate someone, you need to articulate yourself the best that you can. That way someone listens to you as an intelligent, informed person. Instead of just blowing you off as someone shooting their mouth off. I'm not going to do that to you, though, because I am fairly interested in what you have to say. Just not how you say it. So leave name calling out of it, this is a scholarly debate. [/end_sermon] On the topic of withdrawing troops from Iraq, I think it's completely necessary to end this now. Our economy is going down the tubes. The cost has surpassed what anyone could have been predicted when the war began in 2003. In fact, here are some nifty, ironic quotes for everyone's enjoyment: Donald Rumsfeld: “Well, the Office of Management and Budget, has come up come up with a number that's something under $50 billion for the cost. How much of that would be the U.S. burden, and how much would be other countries, is an open question.” [source: Media Stakeout, 1/19/03] Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld: “If you [source: worry about just] the cost, the money, Iraq is a very different situation from Afghanistan…Iraq has oil. They have financial resources.” [source: Fortune Magazine, Fall 2002] State Department Official Alan Larson: “On the resource side, Iraq itself will rightly shoulder much of the responsibilities. Among the sources of revenue available are $1.7 billion in invested Iraqi assets, the found assets in Iraq…and unallocated oil-for-food money that will be deposited in the development fund.” [source: Senate Foreign Relations Committee Hearing on Iraq Stabilization, 06/04/03] Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld: “I don't believe that the United States has the responsibility for reconstruction, in a sense…[Reconstruction] funds can come from those various sources I mentioned: frozen assets, oil revenues and a variety of other things, including the Oil for Food, which has a very substantial number of billions of dollars in it. [source: Senate Appropriations Hearing, 3/27/03] Pretty damn amusing now, huh? Actually. I think it's sickening. And now they'll deny ever having said that. Pathetic people. Our men and women are dying. I can't help it that I want these people to be alright, I want them to come home. I'm sick of hearing about people having their heads blown off by IEDs, or enemy fire. I just can't stand it anymore. If you're actually mildly interested in how many people have died so far, I direct your attention here: http://www.antiwar.com/casualties/ Sadly, this IS an antiwar site. I'm sure you will simply ignore it. I advise you don't, though. It would be a close-minded thing to do, to shield yourself from the truth. There are a number of people now who are numbers who aren't coming home. http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ Another good resource to stay up to date on. I certainly check it often. Just to remind myself how POINTLESS this all is. Oh, yeah, these people are being killed by insurgents. It's not US who's killing them. Well, actually, there have been thousands of Iraqis killed by American/Allied fire or bombs, or whatever they're using now. Think of how many places we've tried hitting that were "known" terrorist hide outs. Think of all the ones that WEREN'T. There's a very real, very human toll to this "goodness" we bring to these people. Iraqs getting worse, not better. These aren't the "good ol' days" of war play. These wars that we're waging aren't cut and dry, with treaties and cease fires. It's no different from Vietnam, with no clear motive, organization or end in site. It's just a bloody mess. And Bush is now saying "Well, guess what everybody. We're stuck there for a LOOONG time. So suck my dick, 64% of the country! It's the next dude's problem!". Pardon my englaise. But I get pretty heated when I think about the waste of life, money and time this has cost us all. And the fact that people are actually HAPPY we're there is beyond my comprehension.
  16. I love the fact that you have so much evidence to back up your facts! I don't know too much about all of this (since, as I said, I'm not extremely into the conspiracy slant to things). I don't subscribe to everything my government tells me. Actually, I subscribe to NONE of it, I make up my own mind about things. This is very, very interesting to me... I guess I just have to think, who did this come from? This administration? Are they REALLY capable of that (mentally)? I have no doubt Dickey boy would let anybody get fried if it let him get ahead. But...... I must have too much faith in the human race. I've never thought the people residing over me were good people. But I also didn't think they were extremely EVIL.
  17. Heh. Me lovey some Macphisto!
  18. U2-Vertigo Hey, I'm practicing my spanish!
  19. Dude, any comments? Go back 50 pages. And read.
  20. lmfao, I watched a whole video about how evil U2 is. I don't remember where it is though. It was pretty useless. All about how they played 'Helter Skelter', which Charles Manson used as inspiration for killings, etc etc. Um. lmfao. The Beatles wrote that dumbass. Oh, and that Bono is satan incarnate. That just made me laugh. What do I say to that? So, on the topic of Coldplay. Yes. They are satanic. If you play their song "Stairway To Heaven" backwards you can OBVIOUSLY hear evil messages being spoken! How else do you think Guy got that hot? He obviously sold his soul to SOMEONE.
  21. I think it does have something to do with the song. Mildred made a thread about this, how the song could be an interpretation of the difficulties of celebrity. I talked about that there. I'm just sick of everyone talking about it. Yet I still kind of am (only to defend it, though). Oh well. I'm just tired of hearing "weird" "wtf?" and "omg hate". C'mon people. grow a new adjective for once.
  22. Here's what I feel very strongly about, after seeing this video quite a few times, watching the coverage on the TV over and over (I was so young, it's still very, very vivid in my mind), and reading various articles on the subject: -The Pentagon was hit by something resembling a missile. From who? I have no idea. There's definately a major cover-up going on there. -There WAS a 5th plane, I also heard this on the radio first hand (one of my teachers was playing the radio in another room and I stopped by the door to listen, because I was pretty terrified and needed to know what was going on). Since this wasn't reported, and hasn't been since, other than in those first early hours, there's ANOTHER cover up. -The WWT came down from the plane crash. I don't think there was any demolition team on the ground. That's too far fetched for me, sorry. I don't think they came down from an explosion in the parking garage either, as this didn't happen in the early 90s the first time they were attacked. There were people all around the base (film crews, NYPD, fire fighters, citizens fleeing, etc etc). How could someone do that without....... Well, how could anyone do that in the midst of such chaos? Or are you saying it was already planted there and just deactivated? Sorry, I don't know much in terms of this. After watching the coverage of the towers falling, though, they definately came from the top down. I've watched a lot of shows analyzing how they fell, and it definately was the melting of the frames where the planes collided. Questions: -What happened to the supposed third plane that "hit" the Pentagon? Were there casualties reported for this flight? -Same question applied to the fifth plane. -Would the government REALLY have taken down the WWT/a piece of the Pentagon? That's really farfetched. Of course, it might not be to some, but.... I've got a bit more faith in my government. Osama DID take ownership for this, and he was connected to the bombing in the 90s (was it '92 or '93? I can't remember). I'm not into this conspiracy stuff. Obviously, I'm open minded and will analyze and draw a conclusion from anything that seems a bit suspicious (which some circumstances on 9/11 do). However, I'm not one of those people who think we filmed the moon landing in a studio. Or staged Pearl Harbor to get into WWII. It's just not true. Then again, maybe I'm just one of the brain-washed masses....
  23. :o
  24. Does someone have an mp3 of 'Hamburg Song' (live or otherwise, it doesn't matter to me)? I seem to have lost my file.... And it's my favorite song in the whole world.
