  1. Good spot, I'd never noticed that before.
  2. There's hardly going to be a mosh-pit or excessive swearing, is there?
  3. Clocks is still, half a decade on, in an absolute world of its own musically. It is NOT my favourite Coldplay song but it is definitely something that will never be touched. And even though VLV is my favourite Coldplay album to date, none of it has the staying power that AROBTTH does. Clocks, IMP and Trouble are Coldplay's first 2 LPs in summary form and will be the things still on people's playlists 20 years from now, probably along with The Scientist, Yellow and Fix You.
  4. Jesus, the studio version by far! The acoustic is decent - nice... - but it's the sonic landscape and the ridiculously good beat in the studio version that almost carries the middle section of the album, for me. It genuinely was the first time I actually jumped out of my seat at a preview of the new album material when a clip of it performed live on whatever American show it was. Probably one of the best things they've ever done.
  5. Whoever said about writing a song called Found.. I've done that haha :D
  6. EVERYONE I KNOW SAYS I'M A FOOL TO MESS WITH YOU.. If it ever happened I would (a) faint from disbelief (b) faint from excitement
  7. "Questions of science, science and progress, do not speak as loud as my heart." Taken.
  8. I would be perfectly happy with a re-worked version of one of those songs finding its way onto Prospekt's March. Fortunately even I know that's not happening. Is it just me or does anyone get the feeling this EP will be a tightly worked concept album?
  9. Because popular as they are, any album with Clocks, The Scientist, In My Place and Politik is always going to be hailed as heaven-sent. The songs are incredible. Adding to that the more subtle beauty of Warning Sign and Green Eyes, the epic AROBTTH and basically the most tearjerking closer ever.. Anyway, I digress. Crests of Waves and I Ran Away should be on the new EP.
  10. If the end of Death and All His Friends didn't give you chills then you have no soul.
  11. He can't share it because he doesn't have it.
  12. Yeah I have a copy of the EP too. It flew in through my window last night, pig-shaped and winged. If a week ago they didn't know what was going to be on it, how the f**k does this guy have a completed, mastered, leaked version of it, exactly?
  13. LiJ, RoL AND Violet Hill, I was ECSTATIC :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D SERIOUSLY AWESOME. And dude...Peyton!!!!

  16. Not all that many, but a few, fair dos :P It just hit me that it's nigh-on perfect. It's what all the critics call transcendent: it goes a little bit past music, I think. I congratulated the DJ for playing it :D
  17. I was sat in a bar last night with uni friends and Viva came on. I realised in an epiphany it is literally one of the best songs ever written. Viva La Vida
  18. The piano riff in The Scientist. That's all I have to say. Nobody said it was easy, but you know what you have to do.
