  1. Cool share Ian, I've been following this, choosing the opening act for them when they played Boston, thank you for the links. Can you imagine being a local band and getting plucked up to play a huge venue as the opener for Coldplay? Whew! When I saw them in Manchester NH, Dec 05, it was Richard Ashcroft that opened and that was brill! In Mansfield Ma earlier that summer it was a young Canadian group I'd never heard of called Black Mountain. They weren't half bad but I felt bad for them because their sound mixing sucked.

  4. Gotta bring this back to page one for one more run. The shares folks have posted are great.

That vid is awesome. Always loved the acoustic version of The Scientist too, great pairing. Angie, if you can find that Green eyes vid that Kelli had up I'd love to see it again. I thought I had it marked as a fav? **Edit** You posted it while I was posting my plead, lol! Thank you! Thanks you ! Thanks you!
  6. Yes has become my favorite. I still love to listen to the whole album, particularly VLV and DAAHF but Yes has snagged the top spot as my favorite. Like LittleWhiteShadow's said, clever ... and I love the strings.
  7. WOW! Congrats on that. I had a peek at the seating chart, those are going to be awesome seats.
  8. Ok, Ok, I'm awake now. 47 years old Fell in love with Coldplay summer of 2003 after a UK friend pushed a copy of Parachutes on me, trying to get me to update my musical tastes. I've been hooked ever since. Member here since the summer of 2005.
  9. I just ordered the scoop neck VLV tee in black. Now I have something really cool to wear to the Concert on 8/4
  10. I just did the download, signed up as a Coldplaying user/team member. Thanks Isara, it's a great way to help a good cause.
  11. ooooh, I should go check out the shop. I would love to have something VLV to wear when I see the band in Boston nect month. Cheers!
  12. That's the crux of it for me. I love the band, the guys, the music. I cringe when I see the music and the band presented that way. I don't want them coming off hokey or leaving some with the impression that they are posers. Someone in production needs to sit down and think about this. Chris has said it himself ( although tongue in cheek) that Coldplay fans are intelligent. It's going to bug the shit out of alot of those intelligent fans if they get heavily piped in tracks instead of real, live performances on tour.
  13. You know you are addicted because you have 218 files in 14 folders on your HD of just Coldplay audio. (Don't even get me going on the video downloads, lol)
  14. The Orlando show is getting a big push up here in New England. One of the local rock stations,Mix 98.5 has been giving away Boston tickets for a couple days now. You know the drill, just be the right caller when they play two Coldplay songs back to back. The winners of that are eligible to win a grand prize, a trip to Orlando to see Coldplay there.
  15. Oh man, I need to visit this thread more often...almost missed this!
  16. The more I listen to the CD straight through the more I like this song. It's actually my favorite at the moment.
  17. ok, just my own experience. I had a leaked copy of Lost? ( aka the acoustic version ) , played it alot before I got my hands on the rest of the album, and liked it alot. You know how some songs grow on you and you get comfortable with them? Well that's how it was with Lost? I haven't gotten sick of it and like it as well as say Lovers or Cemetaries. I think the pop appeal of the album version, Lost!, explains why it's getting so much play.
  18. I think my favorite moment of the Today show gig ( from the bits they actually broadcasted) was during one song ( can't recall which) when Chris glances way up and is taking in all the fans viewing from the tall buildings. He had this childish look of wonder on his face and it reminded me of all the pics I've seen of him from way back, pre Parachutes era. In that moment I remembered exactly why I find Chris and Coldplay so irresistible. : )
  19. I keep looking...and looking and trying to think back to the 80's. Certainly could be him. Although if I were Mr Martin I'd vigorously deny it! ; )
  20. LOL Ian, good find. Love how two different media outlets have picked up one of Chris's random bits of goofiness and run with them.
  21. Thank you Marky, always nice to pick up a few more obscure Coldplay tunes. : )
  22. I was thinking the same thing Angie, he was the only one who kept his on. I was looking at how hot and sweaty everyone was and I couldn't believe Jonny kept his jacket and hat on the whole time. SO unfair!!
  23. I know when this thread was started it was started as a serious question but this sums it up for me. Besides, contrary to a certain song lyric, we all change. don't we? ; )
  24. Sure hope so, I'm so wanting to hear this live!
