  5. ^ thanks for that article Ian. i didn't know he was signed by the guy who signed coldplay. quote: 'Pyke says he's heard from some radio programmers that his songs are unsuitable for airplay because there are "too many lyrics", an amusing 21st-century variation on what an Austrian emperor is said to have told Mozart.' haha that's hilarious! too many lyrics!

Witness the Awesomeness that is Goyte! Wow so going to this!!!!!!!!!!! just heard it on the radio here some excerpts from his myspace site: 'Gotye's album Like Drawing Blood has captured the attention of music lovers across Australia since its release last May. Patiently pieced together in bedrooms around Melbourne over the course of two and a half years, unique alt-pop-electronic sensibility was as intensifying as the genre-hopping experiments of 2004's critically lauded debut Boardface.' This July and August, Lunatic Entertainment is proud to present the first Gotye national tour. Having performed just five times since the Gotye project started in 2004, this extraordinary show, built around a 9-piece mini-orchestra and compelling live visual element, is set to be one of the most anticipated Australian tours of the year. Joining Gotye for this very special tour is the wonderfully unique Mountains in the Sky. Tickets on sale Friday May 18 from 9am. For more information go to http://www.gotye.com anyone else into his music? check him out here http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=46493413
  7. spoKe too soon.... Winehouse Is Next Bond Girl (Soundbuzz, Thursday May 10, 10:59 AM) British singer Amy Winehouse will reportedly get up close and personal with hunky actor Daniel Craig in the next installment of the James Bond movie series. Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has offered Winehouse a part in the Casino Royale sequel after falling in love with the Rehab star's hit album Back to Black. A source tells British newspaper News Of The World, "She's perfect for the role because she's the embodiment of the retro glamour of the original movies." we need to hound Mew writes letters, threaten with kidnapping etc. then they can come to play at my house with three or more Mew fans hehe (just kidding but i wonder how many aussie Mew fans there are out there.....?) btw lunar my sig is an aye aye they're part of the lemur family, thier habitat is in the island of Madagascar of f the east coast of Africa. Aye Ayes are considered to be bad luck (cos they look freaky have big eyes as they are nocturnal and some hae red eyes, have long and thin middle fingers which they use to tap at tress and then get into cracks in trees for grubs) and thus they are endangered- the locals kill them, and also habitat has been reduced farming practices, logging etc. sorry for that long description its just they're one of my favourite animals and i used to want to be a biologist (david attenborough was my hero) and work either in Madagascar with lemurs or at the Charles Darwin research center in the Galapagos Islands.

  19. i was watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhNYhTfTrmw when i made this connection between coldplay and The Mighty Boosh. Pre- mighty boosh one half of that duo- Julian Barratt was in a (comedy) techno band called The Pod. The other band member was Tim Hope. Tim Hope is an animator, he animated the Animated adventures of the pod as seen here: if his style looks familiar its because he directed Don't Panic and Trouble (version2) music video by Coldplay! ....this of course is prob old news.....
  20. aww he's a pineapple :)
  21. A Bright Tomorrow - Astronomy Class
  22. i bought a dvd of him live and he's just amazing... his stage was very sparse and the setting intimate. i like artist that let the song. voice, music do the talking....he doesn't need fancy lights and big effects!
