In answer to the original post, no. I've already said it, but I can't stand the "off-topic thread for x, y and z, oh, and everyone else" threads. If you want to chat go on msn or call each other. Your egos must be huge for you to actually start threads for yourselves and your little cliques. And the arse-licking, appreciation threads can go, too. And can't we just have a random thread for, erm, random things, instead of people starting posts whenever they see bigfoot or whatever.

Can people please stop starting these "The (insert boardies names) thread for fun, frolics, chat and randomness, oh, and for anyone else that wants to join in" threads. It breeds this kind of elitism and superiority that really pisses me off. And people starting threads when they've reached their 1000th post or people who feel like starting appreciation threads for themselves or other people so everyone ends up kissing everyone else's arse, or when people want to announce that they're "leaving" for 2 weeks. Please sod off. That is all.

Well if it's not EMI who's responsible then I'm guessing it's Live Nation? In which case I can't see Coldplay cutting their ties with them any time soon! Whoever it is, it's just wrong and rubbish and stupid. On the other hand, I kind of think that it IS Coldplay's responsiblity. It's they're music, it's they're band. I know it's easy for me to say, but I'd like to think that if I was in a band, world famous or not, then I'd break my neck to know what the hell was going on in terms of merchandise, tickets, PR, promo, photography and whatever else.

If it isn't CJGW's doing, then why weren't they made aware of it and given the chance to tell the money people to sod off? The sooner they get away from EMI the better.

It's a gorgeous venue! I've never been to a gig there, but I have visited Delamere on a number of occasions, it being about 45 minutes from where I live. Beautiful forest; well worth a walk around if you have the time.
