Which part of Italy are you going to? I've been a few times and absolutely loved it. Have a great time!

Important Coffee Question
4?! I don't drink coffee very often, but when I do I have 2 sugars. I can't imagine having 4. I think I'm going to go and try it now, actually....

I'm afraid.....
The internet can be great, but when it comes to medical stuff it's sometimes best not to research too much, otherwise you're mind will explode and you'll end up scaring yourself unneccesarily. I've no experience of dealing with anorexia, but I'd imagine that it's best for you to talk to the family member and deal with it head on. Make sure they've seen a doctor. Seek professional help. Keep an eye on them, be there for them. And remember, it's not the end of the world - loads of people with eating disorders learn to get through them and go on to live healthy lives :)

Any Advice? (universities)
Hope you don't mind me asking, but what is your reason for wanting to go to university again? To enhance your CV or for the experience? I'm just curious :)

The BRITs 2009 Thread
All in all, a terrible reflection of British music. Ohhh, and Duffy was advertising Diet Coke straight after the Brits finished! What a coincidence!

Elbow
The Abbey Road DVD? Yeah, might be a good idea to email them and check. I'm sure they'll still send it out when it's released. They better had anyway, I pre-ordered it last week lol.

Oh ffs, Gordon Brown's getting in on the act now. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7897123.stm WHY???!!! What does she do? What's her unique selling point, why the fucknut is she a CELEBRITY?! Yes, she's a young mum with kids, next. I really shouldn't be as bothered about this as I am, but, for some reason, it's all making me ridiculously angry.

The "Louis Theroux" Thread.
I love this man too! I saw one where he investigated wrestling the other day. Some trainer was putting him through his paces, grinding him to the ground, making complete and utter mince meat out of him. I felt bad for Louis, but it was hilarious!

Oh, rubbish media people. Apparently what she actually said was, "I've lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I'll die in front of them" (Thank you NZ: http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4849347a1860.html). She probably meant it in a 'figuratively speaking' way, not in a PLEASE FILM MY DEATH kind of way (although I wouldn't be surprised). Either way, the amount of press this is getting is nauseating.

Am I being a miserable sod? Sorry, no offence, but, oh I don't know what I mean. It just seems wrong on so many levels, doesn't it?

Show us your art!
Oh stop it, Alyssa. Not funny; putting other people's work to shame. Seriously, it's photos like these that really inspire me to pick up a camera. Incredible. I mean, this... This is just perfect. Stunning!

Apparently she's considering having her death filmed if it will help give her a children a secure future, financially speaking. Please, no, like seriously, no.

The Mixtape Exchange, Round 3: Swaps complete, please post your reviews
Thank you to both of you for your comments :) Here's the track list: 01 Ghost Under Rocks – Ra Ra Riot Discovered this band through Sara's (from Tegan and Sara) Top 10 Albums Of 2008 list. Hymnal, lots of strings, nice backing vocals. And it has the line, "soaking wet dreams". Yeah baby. Album: The Rhumb Line 02 Summertime – Jesca Hoop She supported Elbow on their Winter 2008 tour. The title says it all - summer, fields, hills, sun, warmth and all things lovely. And a beautiful, dreamy voice. Album: Kismet 03 State Of The Union – David Ford "Heroine tastes like ice cream". I love how this goes from this to THIS, but, I can never quite figure out how, why or when, as by the time it's HERE, I've already lost myself in David's train of thought. Passion. Listen to the delivery of the words in this. It's not sugarcoated. It's raw and it's real and it's right there in your ears. Album: I Sincerely Apologise For All The Trouble I've Caused 04 Love Show - Skye Former lead singer of trip-hop band, Morcheeba. This makes me think of the city at night, walking though streets, thinking of life and love and all that. That's really soppy isn't it. Album: Mind How You Go 05 Switching Off – Elbow This made me cry a couple of weeks ago. It's incredibly beautiful. Album: Cast Of Thousands. 06 Lady Of The Sea – Seth Lakeman If you're not sure about folk, give this guy a listen; he may just change your whole perception of the genre. Album: Freedom Fields 07 Be Gentle With Me – The Boy Least Likely To This is from the ING Direct advert. It's just a really cute song. Album: The Best Party Ever 08 Closer – Josephine Oniyama I've honestly not heard anyone else like this girl. Soulful-bluesy-folk? Maybe. Whatever it is, I like it! Her debut album will hopefully be released some time this year. EP: In The Labyrinth EP 09 The Magic Position – Patrick Wolf This boy's a genius. Electro-folk kind of thing. Album: The Magic Position 10 Star Guitar – The Chemical Brothers The sounds they make are crazy. You need to listen to them through headphones, on a train. Speaking of trains, the video for this is wonderful. Album: Come With Us 11 The Con – Tegan and Sara The obvious track to use would probably have been Back In Your Head, which features a great piano line. But I wanted to try something different. Amazing album - short, to the point, everything's there for a reason, they leave you wanting so much more. Album: The Con 12 Chorus Of Wolves – Woodpigeon Can't put my finger on why I like this band so much. They make me think of Canada. Probaby because they're from Canada. Album: Songbook 13 Blind – Embrace Yes, this is Embrace and it's one of their best tracks. It surprises quite a few people too. Listen to Rik McNamara's demonic howling, listen to the guitar in this track, achieved by swinging a microphone around the studio while he unleashed hell, listen to Danny's mental use of made-up words; wtf does "engulfophobia man" mean?! I don't know, but it's ace. EP: Fireworks EP 14 Shining Light – Ash What can I say about this? It's great isn't it. Album: Free All Angels 15 Jai Ho – A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack) Great soundtrack for a great film. This plays while the credits are rolling - joy, love, dancing. Spectacular! Hotshot greens caught wasting home heat
This. Typical kind of catch-all, 'tree-hugger' mentality that some people have; "He's into Africa and Fair Trade and Oxfam, therefore he must be an environmentalist".

That was the one I made, Prospekt. Sorry you didn't get as much out of it as I'd hoped :( I feel bad, like I've not done my job properly, if that makes sense. I'm going to try again... Is it ok to post the track list, Ali? I don't want to spoil it for you! (I sent my mixtape to Ali too as she said she wasn't taking part due to an uneven number of participants).
