Oh, yes. I listened to it about a million times that first day, and even got to play it on my college radio station that night. Still one of my favorites from VLV.

Except that I checked my venue repeatedly throughout the week, and the first 25 rows across three different sections never had a single seat available. But they were on Stubhub from the get-go.

Well, the fact that everyone on here had no luck at all in getting first section seats at most venues makes me think there might be something to this.

I finally got around to listening to the new album today.... It's a grower, I think. Not as instantly listenable as the previous records. Time will tell, but my gut reaction says it's no Nux Vomica.

Hmm... I guess this has been moved to the abyss that is the Releases forum. Favorite Album was okay for the main forum. :thinking: Maybe I shouldn't have put "release" in the title. :P

I was browsing through the Coldplay discography today, comparing singles and b-sides. I think if I had to choose just one, it would be Shiver. 1. Shiver 2. For You 3. Careful Where You Stand I practically orgasm just looking at that tracklist. Your favorite?

1. A Rush of Blood to the Head Top Track: Politik Low Track: Green Eyes Perfection on a disk. Every song manages to feel as personal as Parachutes and yet subtly epic. 2. Viva la Vida Top Track: 42 (I think) Low Track: The Escapist The most fun of all the albums. As sonically rich as a pop/rock band can get. 3. Parachutes Top Track: Shiver Low Track: Everything's Not Lost Amazing in its ability to maintain its enthusiasm and freshness, and an unusually mature debut. 4. X&Y Top Track: White Shadows Low Track: What If Spacey and rocking at its best, contrived and hollow at its worst.

Wow, some of the lyrics weren't what I expected. Rainy Day, I Ran Away, for example.

...and not experience just the most incredible rush, this need to get up and spin around in circles and bang invisible drums and try & try & scream to hit the high notes, and then collapse and marvel at how the song still sounds so incredibly fresh? All of this in spite of its kinda downer message, of course. :P

Oh, yeah, for just about every song. The yelping in "42" in especially fun.

Ah! 90% sure I see mine over puppet Jonny's left shoulder at the end... This is amazing guys. Congrats to everyone! Thanks Lore and Chelsea and Semy and Debs and whoever else I'm forgetting. This was a fantastic idea that came together so much better than I first imagined.
