Well but obviously the bad weather in Wellington helped you to qualify for the football World Cup next year, because Bahrain went to Sydney to prepare for the final match against New Zealand although it was much colder in Wellington than it was in Australia. :D I read the story in a football magazine the other day written by - the one and only - Wynton Rufer. I wanted France and Ireland to play in South Africa next year, because I like both countries. :( But the way how Ireland "lost" the game is definitely a shame. First Anelka's poor try to get a penalty and then Henry mistaking football with handball. It's really sad that this goal means so much now. Unfortunately in two weeks nobody will talk about it anymore... :\ Poor Ireland! Anyway congratulations France!

Sure! Already booked my flights last week. :D But sadly not before the beginning of February now, because first I still have to find a flat, secondly one of my exams has been postponed again (my tutor is ill) and I will also spend a few days in Arabia before I continue my journey to Auckland. :) How's weather over there? I was very shocked when I was watching a tv station last evening while they interrupted the program in order to announce Robert Enke's death. He was one of the most likable football players you can imagine. Definitely the best goalkeeper Germany has had these days. I also remember the loss of his daughter three years ago. It was very emotional at that time and I felt sympathy for him. I give kudos to his widow who was strong enough to give a press conference in Hannover earlier the day. Good decision Germany and Chile have called off their friendly in Cologne on Saturday. Ruhe in Frieden!

U2 and Jay-Z were fantastic! :D But I'm pissed that they didn't show U2 performing "Beautiful Day / Blackbird (Snipped)", "Vertigo" and "Moment Of Surrender" which they played as well. :( And they didn't show the Best World Stage Performance which obviously won Linkin Park instead of Coldplay...

No one from Coldplay I'm afraid! :(

They just showed "One" and "Magnificent"! :dance: They played a few more songs (probably shown later on) including one song with a special guest! I won't tell you who it was...

Die Anna! :nice: Hope you're doing well! Well there was an audio live stream of the U2 concert and people on a fan-site uploaded all their pics and video clips. The lightshow was pretty amazing! :) Well I don't know... she sang "Sweet Dreams" and suddenly all her dancers laid down and the song ended... but it just seemed to me that it wasn't intended. I'm probably wrong though. ;) I think the EMA's are getting worse every year... :/

U2's performance in front of the Brandenburg Gate was superb! It started to snow a few minutes before they came on stage. I watched and listened to it via internet. :D Hope MTV will show some parts of it during the EMA broadcast, too. Am I the only one who thinks that Beyoncé's performance was very... strange... especially the ending? :confused: It happened so abrupt... Dave Grohl was quite funny on the red carpet! :D

Thanks Nancy! According to u2tour.de they will perform 4 songs at 6.30pm and MTV will show a few bits here and there during their EMA broadcast. They rehearsed the lightshow last evening... And the soundcheck this afternoon... :)

If you receive some German tv channels, don't miss a new music program called "Number One!" tomorrow evening. It will be aired at 10.15pm on Kabel1 and Markus Kavka's first show deals with U2. He did an exclusive interview with Bono back in July. Some parts of it are able to watch here (in English)... http://www.kabeleins.de/musik/number_one/interviews/21638/ The 2nd clip deals with Bono and how he experienced the last seconds of the divided Berlin. :)

Premiere Sport was so much better than the new Sky Sport I agree. The latter is an unbounded cheek. Less football matches but so much more expensive... Well my dad is a good bargainer so we still get the complete package for just 30€ instead of 54,90€. But we won't renew the contract especially because Sat.1 shows nearly all Europa League matches of Werder Bremen as well. ;) Pay-tv won't gain a foothold in this country... and I don't mind! :) By the way, do you know that this season the third most successful football league (behind England and Spain) in Europe so far is the Bundesliga.......... of Austria! :o:laugh3: I'm positively surprised. :)

According to BILD he's doing a secret gig in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district tomorrow... Glad that thanks to that newspaper everyone knows about it now lol. :laugh3: He will then return to Berlin in 2 weeks again to perform at the MTV EMA's.

Hm? All matches were available on Sky Sport. :) You can even watch highlights of all games on their official site. I watched Girondins Bordeaux - Bayern Munich though which was a great match as well. 2 red cards and 2 penalties (both saved by the keeper Hans Jörg Butt). Although I hate Bayern I didn't want Bordeaux to win at the end because of Bordeaux's Chamakh who is the biggest joke I've ever seen. He should better go to the theatre... :rolleyes:
