  1. to be honest, it kind of makes me wish they'd work together again. the best moments from each disc are brilliant (both "Spread" and "Ghetto Musick" sit among my favorite songs right now), but neither of them can sustain it for a full album, especially andre and his staggering 79 minute (!) disc. still pretty damn good though. :D
  2. Stevie Wonder - "Songs in the Key of Life" John Coltrane - "A Love Supreme" The Unicorns - "Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?" all purchased on tuesday for a total of $23 :D
  3. The Polyphonic Spree - "Section 1"
  4. yeah. AMERICANS SAY COLORS AND THEREFORE WE ARE RIGHT! RRGH! :P

  6. Do Make Say Think: "End of Music"
  7. THE ICE CLIMBERS!
  8. you make it sound like every guy in the world uses it. :P (for the record, i don't  )
  9. Portishead: "Only You"
  10. Marvin Gaye: "I Met A Little Girl" i found this album in a used record bin for 7 bucks, and i'm so glad i splurged on it. it sounds great and the music is incredible.
  11. i think it sounds cute. :P gets kinda hot, though.
  12. i should probably read the first two pages of this thread before i answer, but i'm a lazy man. the ones that bother me the most are people who are famous who, as far as i can tell, haven't done anything worth recognition for any reason. examples: anybody from a "reality" show or game show (that includes both contestants and hosts, most of the time), paris hilton and her brethren. and britney spears never used to bother me but i'm getting so sick of hearing about her latest publicity stunt.
  13. correction: into :P
  14. yeah then you're both awake and you're both confused as hell.
  15. here are a few of my choices that i've been nuts over lately: Do Make Say Think: Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn (post-rock, kind of. more jazzy influences) Boards of Canada: Geogaddi (electronic) Marvin Gaye: Here, My Dear (soul/R & B) Broken Social Scene: You Forgot It In People (pop/rock) The Beach Boys: Today! (pop)
  16. The B-52's: "Devil In My Car"
  17. it's supposed to serve as an example of how little audioslave have going for them. :P
  18. oh my lord. i think if philip glass, jimi hendrix, or bob marley were ever caught dead in the same room as chino moreno, i'd probably be sick. :P
  19. did everybody else (except for musiclover, whose name i can never seem to remember) miss the second sentence in the article? "However, US officials played down the find, saying the shells were probably left over from Saddam Hussein's 1980-88 war with Iran." you KNOW they didn't find anything significant if the US doesn't even want to trumpet it to the world.
  20. what kind of person randomly claps pieces of wood together?
  21. "In the Mood" is the one jazz song that even people who know nothing about jazz know and like. :P
