Favourite Day of the Week?!
Thursday's kinda like Ranch dressing to me, and I don't really like ranch... Friday though, more of a vinaigrette. Yeah, I could see marinating a chicken in Friday.

Albums of the Year - RESULTS
At least Sufjan Stevens made it to #4. Thanks the The OC  Seriously, though... that many people still like Oasis?

Blinkered America is already among the thugs
I'm guessing that the guy who wrote that article was probably hoping an actual Philly sports fan would never read his article and call his bullshit. Well, here I am. As somebody who's actually been going to Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers games my entire life (literally, my dad started taking me before I was old enough to even understand what was going on), I can report that I've seen hostility, but I've NEVER EVER seen an actual fight. I've seen fights at baseball games, but usually because one drunk moron makes a pass at another drunk moron's girlfriend or something, never because they liked the opposing team. We may be passionate fans, but we're not stupid. As for the "original premise" of the article, if he didn't find anybody wearing Dallas colors, he didn't look very hard. They're actually all over the place, and guess what? They get treated like normal people, like everybody else. The fact of the matter is that characterizing us as drunk, violent louts as just as lazy and ignorant as the US media doing the same to English soccer fans. It's just one more example that this guy started with a premise and then made up evidence to support his story (kinda like our president  ). You think that for every Philly fan spouting some clearly exagerrated story about breaking a DC fan's legs, there weren't thirty normal people who didn't have any stories about violent antics? But hey, if it's an excuse to hate Americans for something, never let facts get in the way of a good story, right?

Worst album(s) of 2005.
Surprise: Tom has an opinion, :P Here are my picks of the worst albums of 2005 that I actually heard in their entirety (in other words, I'm sure Lindsay Lohan's record is worse than some of these but I'm not stupid enough to actually listen to it): Weezer - Make Believe CocoRosie - Noah's Ark Bright Eyes - Digital Ash in a Digital Urn Mars Volta - Frances the Mute Billy Corgan - The Future Embrace

What is your favourite christmas-song?
There's a reason that Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" has sold 30 million copies over the years.

Who is your favorite football team??
People who aren't from New England who like the Patriots can SUCK IT, you damn bandwagon jumpers. But that's mostly because I'm an Eagles fan (see location), and we all know how that last Super Bowl turned out. My poor birds aren't so hot this year, though, but I'm a fan. If I stuck with them through that year they were 3-13, I can stick with them through this. :/ Besides, Monday night, the Seahawks are going DOWN and we'll be right back in the playoff hunt. :P Also, all you people whining about the difference between American football and your own football should stop whining because it's annoying. Just start your own damn thread and stop bitching already.

Superman Returns!
Remember when people made movies that hadn't already been made 30 times already? Yeah, those days were great.

NHL Hockey is back
Speaking of hot teams... HELLO?! ANYBODY WATCHING THE FLYERS?! Four wins in a row, 9 in 13 games so far, and the league leaders in goals (Gagne) and assists (Forsberg) despite having played fewer games so far than the entire league. Plus they beat the precious Senators. SOME PROPS, PLEASE.
-
NHL Hockey is back
I notice there's no mention of the game the Senators played on October 30, Kyle. Those two blowout wins against Toronto and Buffalo weren't back to back on the schedule, were they?

Your Anthem
I'm going to personally beat up the first person who posts "Why Does it Always Rain on Me?" by Travis in this thread. :bomb:

The best albums of the last 60 years.
This is a pointless thread, especially if you have the list, because it took about three seconds to find it myself, and I knew most of it anyway. :P

Imagine......
I like to imagine what a lot of people would do if they took a closer look at the lyrics to that song and realized it was about a socialist utopia. :P

Give me your opinion
This has nothing to do with a whole lot, but if it were socially acceptable I would totally wear skirts. They look comfortable. :uhoh2:

Nirvana's Nevermind voted 'Most Overrated' Album Of All Time
Since when did Nirvana have an album called "Lithium"? It is a song, but it's on... NEVERMIND :dozey: (unless you consider a 3 song single to be Nirvana's greatest release) At any rate, almost all of those "overrated" albums are also considered almost unanimously to be among the best albums ever. It shows the contrarian nature of some people, I guess.

NHL Hockey is back
DAMN the season starts on Wednesday! I'm going to a show that night! (The only time I've ever been disappointed at not being able to watch something on TV because I'll be seeing live music instead. )

Braces
I had them for awhile a long time ago, in addition to various retainers and other crap to fix my apparent overbite that I had. I ended up hating the orthodontist with every fiber of my being. People always associate sadism with dentistry, but going to the dentist has always been a walk in the park after what I went through with that evil bastard Dr. McCormick.

Rock School
Orrrrrr... It's kind of like the ACTUAL SCHOOL that exists in Philadelphia, the Paul Green School of Rock, which was also the subject of a recent movie. ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436727/ ) Ugh. It bothers me a little that "Rock School" is the title being used for Gene Simmons' show when it was obviously the same exact title used earlier this year for the documentary about Green's school.
