  2. ....and for the 3000 childern that are gonna die today in africa (like they do everyday). just thought this post was worth a second look to keep things in perspective.
  3. we had to live without power for nearly a week because of a hurricane a few years ago. we survived, and so will you. :P *didn't feel like reading any but the first few posts of the thread*

  8. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR HUMAN CONCEPT OF "DATING."
  9. I SPURN YOUR PATHETIC THREADS AS I WOULD SPURN A RABID DOG! I DEMAND ENTERTAINMENT! NO MORE PATHETIC ATTEMPTS AT THREADS! because clearly mine are much better.
  10. i don't think any of the "new garage rock" bands (white stripes, strokes, hives, blah blah blah) will have any lasting impact because all they're doing is ripping off what the kinks or the stooges or even the rolling stones did 30-35 years ago.
  11. the idea of starsailor influencing anything to do with music is laughable. they're not even bad enough so that people will turn away from that kind of music. they make the blandest music i've ever heard. sooooooo boring. that said, i can't think of anybody out there that will have any far and wide influence, other than radiohead, whose influence is already noticable. and we can't really predict something like this anyway...
  12. Doug Martsch (Built To Spill) - Guitar. this guy is the melody king (see "Carry the Zero) George Harrison (if you don't know what band George Harrison was in i'm shooting you) - Guitar. also brilliant with melody Steven Drozd (Flaming Lips) - keyboards, drums, drum programming, guitars, whatever else. every time i listen to The Soft Bulletin i think to myself that one guy pretty much did that whole album except the vocals and bass, and am amazed Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft) - bass. you wouldn't know from listening to the foo fighters, but the guy is actually a great bassist Bjork - vocals. i have a thing for bjork. there is my too long answer that nobody will read. HOORAY!
  13. usually right after i put the cd in and press play. BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *passes out*
  14. 1481 this is getting tedious. :dozey:

  17. keeping with my habit of responding spectacularly badly to any sort of praise or acknowledgement, sometimes i actually get mad at people who get me gifts on my birthday. i feel uncomfortable claiming a whole day just to celebrate myself. what have i done to deserve it? jack.
  18. hehe i haven't the first clue what it means. i only know what it isn't. :P
  19. i don't think so.... that's like... *grabs calculator* 4.27 years. which is much too long.
  20. i choose not to believe that one. or at least to try to forget about it.
  21. maybe the twitching will prevent spiders from crawling on your face.
