  1. Certainly not. Threads discussing what the best kind of cheese is and what's great about sneakers are the glue that hold this place together. :P
  2. Once again, I have to ask: Are there really threads here that AREN'T pointless?
  3. Zero 7 - "I Have Seen"
  4. I'm more a fan of Who's Next, myself. :D
  5. To compliment the "best covers" thread. :D Great songs ruined: Death Cab For Cutie - "All is Full of Love" (Bjork) The Vines - "I'm Only Sleeping" (The Beatles) Every damn person ever (the 9/11 tribute thing) - "What's Going On" (Marvin Gaye) 311 - "Love Song" (The Cure) Radiohead - "Rhinestone Cowboy" (Glen Campbell) The Beach Boys - "I Was Made to Love Her" (Stevie Wonder) Songs that sucked the first time around: Smashmouth: "I'm a Believer" (The Monkees) :D
  6. *melts* I love that song.
  7. ditto  well... by "I want Kerry for president" I really mean "I want somebody who isn't Bush," but whatever. :P
  8. Yeah, so in about a year from now when the first set have finally bitten the dust, you won't have to pay anything for another set. I never really liked the flatwound strings all that much, though. They just don't feel right to me for some reason.
  9. *drumroll* John Edwards! I have to say I'm somewhat relieved at that, because Edwards 1) has charisma coming out the wazoo (unlike Kerry) and 2) is from the south and can help win Tennessee and Missouri and the like. His policies are almost irrelevant at this point. All that matters is that they can beat Bush.
  10. Gomez - "Getting Better" (the Beatles) The Flaming Lips - "Can't Get You Out of My Head" (Kylie Minogue) James Taylor - "You've Got a Friend" (Carole King) John Coltrane - "My Favorite Things" (Rogers and Hammerstein) Pearl Jam - "Interstellar Overdrive" (Pink Floyd) Ben Folds - "In Between Days" (The Cure)
  11. What is it that we love about music? THE NOTES.
  12. In Canada, do you celebrate the day Britain decided "whatever, this is too much work" and granted you your independence? :D :P
  13. It was yesterday, but thanks. :P
  14. I think the Beatles are the only band in the world that I just don't understand how anybody could possibly not like them.
  15. Steely Dan - "Black Cow"
  16. Or you could be like me and have a roommate who's a CS major and knows how to hook up his laptop to your TV. :P
  17. Chicken is the meat of choice.
  18. You should be able to use any digital audio software for that. Pro Tools, Cool Edit, Cakewalk, etc., would all work fine. There's a free version of Pro Tools available on their website that would work fine for that, but I think it only works on Macs or computers what use Windows 98. Otherwise, get on Kazaa or whatever you use and search for something. Most of them are pretty easy to learn how to use.
  19. 4th of July weekends are all about hamburgers (the most American food there is, despite being named after a German city), beer, and cakes that are obnoxiously decorated with red, white, and blue. Even though technically the weekend is over...
  20. Fragile State - "Four-Four-Four"
  21. It's original, anyway. Mine was... uh... short and functional.
  22. Up and at them!
  23. That reminds me: Favorite harmonica solo - Stevie Wonder - "Isn't She Lovely"
