I was about to send a couple of quick PMs, then realised people receiving them might think it was a winners' notification... better wait until after this is all over :\

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
I just can't see any of the band members appearing, and I'm worried that people are getting too excited about that possibility. I say let's just get excited about what we already know, hope and pray we get tickets, and anything else will be a huge huge bonus ('even' just an exclusive play of a track!!) Anyway, Viva la Thames!!

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
It's a boat trip not a party on a boat moored along the Thames, there's a huge difference. If it was 'just' a party there would be a very slim chance of an appearance I think, but on a five hour trip with no way to get off the boat? I don't think the boys have enough time away from their families for that for 100 fans, no matter how devoted we are, nor the energy!! But absolutely agree with everything else you say, what an opportunity!! :D

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
Oh wow, really hope I get tickets, good luck to everyone :nice: Roadies #43 and 44?! :P Lovely to see you here Kara!! Have you applied? It'd be incredible to catch up if we both won  I VERY much doubt personally that any of the band would be there - if only to not risk the possible 'attentions' of the *ahem* ladies of the forum, but a new track or two, or at least an announcement, isn't out of the question I don't think :sunny:

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
It doesn't matter whatever scam the seller is trying to pull! The only thing that matters is that the seller, legally, has no right to sell these tickets on. As I understand it, both Coldplay.com and the ticket site say that the condition is that only those who originally bought the tickets and can prove it with the same credit/debit card will receive the tickets and gain entry. Under ebay's rules that's enough to get the listing pulled! Just complain with a link and we can stop these horrible people. Scum doesn't even begin to describe them so let's let them know they're not welcome around Coldplay, and especially not for a charity gig!!

John Lennon - "Jealous Guy" (Anthology Version)
Thanks for the comments guys! So great to hear other people enjoy it as much as I do :) I'm not sure it's underrated, just under-known by people in general!!

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
No sorry guys, got it wrong, it's the tribute band we think - it's the 19th November listed not December - silly me!

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
No problem Ian :) <edit> Ah you're right, didn't read properly, silly me! It's the 19th November they're playing, not December. Good thing I'm not going to the gig as I can't even get the month right :laugh3:

[19-Dec-2010] Crisis: Coldplay in Liverpool (ROYAL COURT THEATRE, 1 ROE ST, L1 1HL)
As I wrote on the other thread, I just did a search for 'Coldplay' on SeeTickets and the only event listed was Coldplayer :laugh3: at the Liverpool Stanley Theatre.

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
My last post raises a point actually - what's happening to tickets that become available due to the inevitable failed transactions? The page there now goes straight to the auction I think, will they release such tickets, and if so will you get through to a page to buy some before the auction page pops up? <edit> Just did a search on Seetickets for 'Coldplay' and the only event listed is Coldplayer :laugh3: at the Liverpool Stanley Theatre...a slip there? <edit 2> Silly me, wrong month, it's the tribute band after all! http://www.seetickets.com/Tour/COLDPLAYER

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
Congrats to everyone who got tickets  But I'm really sorry for everyone who tried but couldn't :( This kind of thing often leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Opening the system early is just unfair, and I feel particularly sorry for people who live locally who couldn't get any  Hasn't it been said somewhere online that ID will be checked against tickets? If so, send a complaint with the link to ebay and they should pull the listings. I thought all the residents tickets had to be bought using a card registered to an address there? If so I think you'll lose the tickets unless you can get your friend to use their card to pay...

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
Unless this question's been answered - and I really hope I'm wrong for you guys' sake - I wouldn't personally have thought anyone would confirm that either way before the sale, unless it's a most definite 'no', because anything else just gives free licence to touts and ebay profiteers. If you're a true fan though I'd say risk it, especially if you can get some printed proof that you have a true link with the credit card holder, but that's just me, (and I wouldn't be coming from abroad for the gig) :\ Anyway, good luck everybody!! :sunny:

Your Top 5 Viva Era Tracks
Great thread! It's very hard to call other than the top 3, but right now: 1 Lovers in Japan (album version, with acoustic a close second - PM version best forgotten) 2 42 3 Violet Hill 4 LiT ii 5 Strawberry Swing or Chinese Sleep Chant With special props to: Spanish Rain Sekai Ni Hitotsu Dake No Hana (SMAP cover, live in Japan) Yellow (the new acoustic version, as per Brixton and BBC gigs, such an incredible reinvention it's like having a brand new song!) :)

Coldplayers meet in London to celebrate Halloween this Saturday!
Nancy, for me it was the Strawberry Swing of nights out, I just hope everyone else felt the same way :)

Coldplayers meet in London to celebrate Halloween this Saturday!
P.S. We didn't get a group photo because for four hours or more we were just so busy talking and having fun to even think about! I think after six or seven takes (due to my extremely photosensitive eyes) Raphaele and I had a nice photo taken together (sorry Raphaele about that!) but I'm not sure many more were taken. Just imagine happy Coldplayers all enjoying each others' company with a few drinks and a lively atmosphere (in the place where where Coldplay first performed under that name) and you'll get the idea :)

Coldplayers meet in London to celebrate Halloween this Saturday!
Thank you so much to everyone who came, that was the absolutely perfect night for me. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!! It's a little hard to organise these meet-ups but this one was worth every second of my time - the whole evening was a delight, with nothing but lovely people from here :) Sofia (Vadette) and I arrived first, after a very hard day (!!) watching the superb Toy Story 3 in 3D (I choked back tears, and the ending scared me to death almost, how can kids cope with that stuff - I will be having a very serious conversation with my darling niece about that that in the next few days?!!), drinking coffee and chatting, and eating delicious Japanese food (and takoyaki, woohoo!!!!!) in the highly-recommended Japanese restaurant on Parkway (the same street as the Dublin Castle). Actually we were both VERY tired after a few hectic but really nice days together (we both had to try to have a power sleep in the restaurant after dinner!), but as soon as everyone else arrived we felt energised, and when x&y came on the jukebox we were ready to rock  People in Halloween fancy dress surrounded us, and added to the atmosphere. There were seven of us in all, and I had a lovely surprise personally that a very charming Japanese lady joined us with Craig, and tolerated my attempts to remember my long-forgotten Japanese so kindly :) The highlights of today were so many and so incredible for me that I can't make a list. I'd just like to thank everybody for coming soooo much , and I'll be arranging another meet very very soon I hope. Wonderful!!
