  1. Thanks so much guys I love this song, I can't wait to hear the full version, I think it may be my favourite ever - even better than my dear, beloved LiJ.
  2. Things look simple to me. Far too much over-analysis here. Write to Debs, tell her that the project is for Chrismas* (I thought that was the whole idea - to thank the band for this incredible year, no?) and that we need news very soon so that the coldplayers who live in the more far-flung areas of the world won't be excluded. Tell her about Plan B, that is really it's going to have to start very soon if we don't hear anything, and see what she says. If she doesn't get back within the week, start Plan B. It's easy. * 'Chrismas' used by very kind permission of Coldplaying's own one and only, very dearest, EnglishSilk :)
  3. Personally I think it's Famous Old Parsnips :cool::P
  4. Wikipedia is right for once: 'The serial The Deadly Assassin established that a Time Lord can regenerate twelve times, for a total of thirteen incarnations (although at least one Time Lord, The Master, has managed to circumvent this). To date, the Doctor has gone through this process and its resulting after-effects on nine occasions...' But it doesn't really matter anymore, so long as there is popular demand for the series to continue, a way will be found around it.
  5. Happy birthday Mel, wishing you a wonderful day and year ahead :sunny:
  6. I really am beginning to believe that the band only care about North America anymore
  7. No he isn't, Phil Harvey doesn't give as many scoops as pat does :D P.S. I am not Debs, honestly.
  8. He's on Question Time (UK political panel discussion show) next week. The venue is in Tottenham. Tickets available now!! Who's up for packing the crowd out with us Coldplayers, to put the really serious international questions of the day to him - what's happened to Famous Old Painters; who makes the coffee at the Bakery; and (most importantly) who's that heard scratching their nose in Strawberry Swing? Anyone game?:D
  9. Thanks a million fella!
  10. I hate these 'these are my friends' type threads, and wouldn't otherwise post here, but you're a good guy Si, you'll go far if you keep this up. Refine it, gain your confidence. Wanna be a presenter on TV? It's certainly not beyond you on this evidence if that's where your heart lies, work on it! Love Yorkshire btw, went to uni there. Great accent you have there :)
  11. Actually born in the country? Wow! Come on Arnie get that sorted out quicksmart, we want Apple for President 2049 :P I'm pretty sure they are, that's how most other countries work it. The US is one of only a few nations I've ever heard of where being born there guarantees citizenship - usually it's determined by the parents' country/ies of origin. If you're from the States, btw, ever notice all the heavily pregnant Japanese ladies coming through customs? It's not just for the shopping, though I'm sure that's an attraction too!!
  12. Do you need sole US citizenship to become US President? I know you need to have been born a US citizen not simply be a naturalised citizen, but not sure if that means sole citizenship or includes dual.

  14. I think the question about Obama completely misses the point, as does the answer. Who becomes President affects the whole world hugely, and therefore everyone has an interest in it, whether they realise it or not, or even care or not. You don't have to have a US vote to feel the need to try to influence the outcome of this election, just a conscience.
  15. I love all these very dearly indeed, CSC & RoL are up there for me amongst the best of the album. I went off x&y for a long time, but now i've re-found it and fallen in deepest love with it yet again it's a revelation - a very, very good album that stands up to the rest, though it's not my no 1.
  16. Sure it does! He does the deep voice on Fix You now as well!! And I can't see many of our lady friends (or even some of our gentlemen friends!) complaining about deep, sexy, tempted-to-sin Chris - think of them young man if not yourself :laugh3:
  17. Lol Collee. It's a good thing the song's not called 'no' eh? Wouldn't really work :laugh3: I'm really shocked this incredible song has been totally dropped now. We haven't even had one show of the tour proper here in the UK yet, and Yes already seems to be history. Why they can't even throw it in as an encore once in a while baffles me. I hope to be at three London shows in December, and if they don't play Yes at least once I'll be so disappointed
  18. So many thanks for the setlist, and a huge welcome to the forum Zodiac :)
  19. I'm hanging out for this so us UK lovers of the US can see it.... thanks to anyone who uploads
  20. Lovely! Wonder if it's 'I swear heaven was meant for us' or 'heaven was denitely was definitely waiting for us'? Either way I'm sooo hopeful this will be on the EP, it simply must be. :)
  21. Do so scusi, already up to ten+ for the 16th, 15th looking a bit slim, 14th there will be at least four I think. If nothing else it's lovely to say a quick 'hi' in the bar and have a beer :)
  22. I guess England really isn't Europe then? I've seen a few bands not able (understandably!) to handle the boos/things being thrown at them at gigs and festivals in England!! Great points, completely agree!! And London is always flat compared to the provincial gigs here, I think, because you get such a mixed crowd, especially for the household names. At the x&y tour gigs I felt slightly embarrassed to scream, let alone stand up and dance in the seats (I did all three :D) Get in touch, or see me on the gig threads, if you like about the December concerts. I'm hoping to be at all three, almost definitely two, and have already been getting a crew of us together. Let's take the roof of the o2!!
