I just saw some nosebleed seats on Ticketmaster.co.uk for this date - would have bought them myself for you guys but my credit card is 'on holiday' It's worth keeping trying right up to the day of the gig if you're determined - there are always a few extra tickets released.

Prospekt's March Contains Eight New Songs? (message from Prospekt)
Incredible news!:dance::dance: [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FEjlKOEjM1M]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FEjlKOEjM1M[/ame] My guess is that Lost will be be a download-only single by itself initially, as the extra tracks seem to have made it on to the EP which is released soon after anyway.

A clearer explanation of the financial bailout.
Bush presided over that. A strong, decisive and/or intelligent President could have persuaded Congress to back him (and should have!) Bush didn't/couldn't - he's to blame for the start of the global meltdown we're seeing here.
-
A clearer explanation of the financial bailout.
He's had two full terms to fix it, and has only made things worse both within the US and without. Many people could see it coming years ago. He's to blame for this present crisis.

Aw I'm so jealous of you guys - have fun on behalf of us all!! :)

A clearer explanation of the financial bailout.
An eventual global meltdown was always on the cards as soon as Bush was elected..is anyone who is a serious student of politics really surprised?

29-Sep-2008: Palamalaguti, Bologna - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Yep, yep. - Looks really short (was this even 90 mins - loads of them are short versions/interludes/short songs etc etc??) - When they stopped mixing it up on the last tour they got bored, and we (I mean those of us who bought tickets to multiple shows) got bored too  - The impromptu encores/experimentation seem to have long ceased :( - (Personal one) Please drop Speed of Sound in favour of anything from Parachutes/Rush* - even the casual fans I speak to now aren't that bothered about hearing it, so why play it every show? - How about the (world-conquering) original version of GPASUYF at least a few times this tour? And now to be more positive: + I'm sure it was an incredible show, as always :) +Sticking with loads of the tracks from the new album - the whole world deserves to hear these live!! + The Hardest Part again - if you drop one of my favourite X&Y songs (that I've never seen live!!) before the London gigs I will post and post and post until I'm sick :veryangry2: + Politik played, as it always should be. * Trouble, Don't Panic, Shiver, Everything's Not Lost, Warning Sign etc etc etc

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
I love Found! the best, with the soaring lyric 'and you'll have found, on the floor a shiny pound' or The Chocolate Teapot 'I see the chocolate teapot's melting, the water's too hot and it's disappearing' :laugh3:

Fruit Salad or Black Jack
Why in heaven is there no option 'one tucked inside each cheek simultaneously'??? This poll is broken!! :embarassed::o:laugh3:

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
I got that one too, just now delivered to my bedroom by my friend :shocked2: Here is my full report (sorry guys couldn't resist spoofing this one!). 21:54 GMT (+one minute because my clock runs a little slow) A knock at the door. Why didn't he use the bell? I let my friend in, and he led me gently by the hand to the bedroom. What happened next proves that what I say is true, but I cannot tell you about it until after the album's actual release. My friend left swiftly after that, leaving me with mouth agape and a CD in my hands, and in my astonishment I forgot to ask him where it was from. We may never know, but I do recall that his father worked as a cleaner for a record company, so... Anyway, it's an incredible CD!! I'd say it's the Parachutes style a bit; laid-back, deep, but with the bombast of x&y, and the whimsy of VLV. I'd say it was their best yet. Though it's almost entirely instrumental, the one or two lines in each song work well with the music. Instruments range from a simple triangle to some tissue paper stretched over a comb and played on the lips, as well as a blade of grass held tightly between two thumbs and voiced in a similar fashion. Very nice. This is the band we'd always longed for. Tracklisting for Put on the Chocolate Teapot or Inflatable Houses Aren't Really Suitable for People with Prickly Personalities Porcelain God in Technicolor Lawyers of Liverpool Found! 3.5 / Some Say Phil is Hot Lhuna Bhuna (Indian Takeaway Chant) Put on the Chocolate Teapot Shuna (or Lhehta) December Orange Cricket Bat Inflatable Houses Aren't Really Suitable for People with Prickly Personalities (The Clerk) Any questions? :laugh3:

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
I'd be more than happy to apologise profusely if it does turn out to be true. In fact, when I'm suspicious I usually add that at the end of my post. The fact I didn't feel the need to in this case says something :laugh3:

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
Let me get this straight: - The OP is prepared to leak it, but not for a month maybe!! - He promises us proof, but will only maybe tell us more of the lyrics!? - His friend came round, gave him one of the hottest musical properties in the world, and he didn't think to ask (or wasn't interested) how he got it?! - The CD is real but the covers are fake - why?! - etc etc etc If this is a scam it's not a very good one!!

Proskpects March/Song Album Uniforms?
I thought they might have been a mistake at first, but quickly grew to love them after seeing them in the flesh at Brixton and the BBC gigs. They just seem so part of the sublime overall package now, and obviously a very strong statement of intent from the band, united as one again after the tribulations of the X&Y tour. I can't see them ditching them before the next album - they'll certainly be around for the EP I should think as it's part of the Viva sessions and continues some of the major themes. And I hate to say it, but wouldn't ditching them without replacement seem like a retrograde step - a symbolic undoing of all the positivity, creativity and togetherness we have now? Quite hoinestly I think by the time they do that, it'll mean they're ready for another extended break from touring and recording :(
