  1. The same set as Brixton I think :) Politik still conspicuous by its absence...
  2. If one tracks always skips in the same place and you're sure your player is OK then the vinyl's been shoddily produced - I'd get it swapped myself until I got a perfect one.
  3. Brilliant post Space Cadet, and full of interesting little snippets :)
  4. Very nice post, cheers :)
  5. Heavens above, what an image! :) Someone really needs to photoshop a kitchen sink into that pic asap!!! :D
  6. It's a metaphor for the perfect moment with your children, in the park on a bright summer's day, and it's beautiful :)
  7. I think he's right, and many of us (including the band!) know it - x&y was a great Coldplay album, as per usual, but it was way too Coldplay-by-numbers. The new album's the first 10/10 they've made since A Rush, largely because they seem so excited and passionate about it all again, but this time developing everything. I'm quite prepared to believe Eno helped them rediscover that incredible desire again (along with THE BAKERY of course hehe)...:) And by Dickens if I'd been Producer of this album I'd also feel like I had the right to brag I did a good job!! :D

Why's that? (I've never really listened to Muse...)

    Floccinaucinihilipilification!! My favourite word :)
  10. A really interesting theory! It could very well have been an inspiration imo (maybe even subconsciously) , but the final result sounds a lot further back in history to me. Very early 18th/19th century.
  11. Morning all :) What are all the 30 - somethings of the forum up to today? It's a lovely sunny day here. I'm going to complete some paperwork out on the balcony, and admire my gardening efforts from yesterday. Nothing too strenuous for my ancient bones!! Another day older, another day wiser
  12. Yeah, it's a killer feeling, but the way I see it I have more than enough time to overtake almost all of them on the success front (except Coldplay probably though now, grrr) :D Great stuff, love the irony! :) Did Dan Quayle start advertising vodka? Hehe :P
  13. No no - go ahead. I haven't got much left but I can offer you a right elbow, a left knee or a nose (slightly damaged). Take your pick!! :)
  14. The band are all a year or two younger than me, so I like to think that in a year or two they might reach my levels, and then just think what an album they'll put out!! :wink3: Yes, maybe a better title's something that doesn't imply we're old and decrepit just because we're over thirty!! What say you, fellow 30 - somethings?!
  15. Try a different body part - I lost my 'ass' a very long time ago on a similar bet! :D Kamikaze is fine but if you call me kamikazi I probably won't be sending a link to this thread to my Japanese friends haha!
  16. You must be fascinating company at a dinner party with comments like that :laugh3:
  17. I'm very sorry, Sasa it is! :) Nice to meet a fellow oldie lol, and please don't call me 'kamchi' in return, that would be terrible!! :D
  18. Out of interest, how old are you sosa?
  19. I took my sister and if she doesn't want to keep it or hasn't already thrown it away (which is more likely, alas) I'll get it for you my friend...
  20. I'd guess that more than 50% of members are under 25, at least. But of course they make close to 100% of the posts (with me on board in recent weeks haha). I bet even though this thread is for people over thirty they'll be along to post quick messages about how young they are. Oh wait... The first one! Another! 17 and running his own website, very unusual. And never tasted alcohol -he's unique in the UK!! :stunned: :D
  21. I'm 32 and absolutely happy to be where I am right now, age-wise :)

Bonsoir Marie, et bienvenu, bienvenu! (Hope I got that right, my Swahili is better than my French - seriously!!) :) Lovely to meet you here as well, Mayunka! Why not start your very own 'hello' thread, then we can welcome you properly?! :)
  23. Not only are they a brilliant young band, they have exceptional taste too :)
  24. I love the way they perform live, and I will not miss a gig just because I'm tired of one or two songs, I'm guessing none of the other people saying the same thing here would either. That's along the lines of 'I won't go to the sumptuous banquet I've been invited to because I'm bored of one of the fantastic fifteen courses on offer'!
  25. There seems to be another thread... http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47446&page=6
