25-Nov-2008: Honda Center, Anaheim, Orange County (NEW DATE!)
aww man i have work during the general sale tomorrow the tickets i got this morning will have to do for now, but at least i'll be going. :) and now the question: meet up before/after the gig, anyone?? unlike The Forum/Inglewood, it's good to hang around this part of Anaheim.

25-Nov-2008: Honda Center, Anaheim, Orange County (NEW DATE!)
if not, then we'll be section neighbors :P actually i got another seat in the back, where the boys might be playing their acoustic set. my friend and i are currently fighting for that one.

for the Twisted Logic tour, I was at section 439, and that was far. your area is closer to the stage, so it'll be better. plus you get to look down on the boys :P here's a pic for some reference (just imagine a stage at the end):

GUYS....if i'm not mistaken, most of the seats in the first 2-3 rows are saved off for the band to do giveaways for the folks in the nosebleed section. that, or auctioned off. and yeah, there's a presale code. i also noticed that on the Oxfam site there's TWO listings for the gig...which can only mean that it's likely that ANOTHER gig will be added due to demand. maybe though, but i'm gonna bet on it.

hahah, but if not front row...then how close?

25-Nov-2008: Honda Center, Anaheim, Orange County (NEW DATE!)
True....but at least it's still MUCH better than the facilities over at The Forum. There will be room to actually move around (and BREATHE!) in the halls/concession area right outside of the seating area! Being squished like sardines @ The Forum was not fun, especially squished up against LA peeps.

Rewriting a Coldplay Song: The Story Behind 42 (Rolling Stone article)
oh crap, it actually DOES sound a lot like "Sit Down Stand Up"! :stunned::laugh3: i was too busy thinking that the beginning sounded similar to another song (Muse - "Ruled By Secrecy"). now i don't think i can look at "42" anymore without those thoughts wandering around in mind. :P much thanks to that guy though; Johnny's guitar feature during that mid-section was a very good add.

Oasis Fall Short of Coldplay's Sales Record
oh god :laugh3::rolleyes: well aside from the massive fan-bias, that album better be good if it's going to break the sales record.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Apocalypse Please is the easiest....it's just chords. Then Sunburn, Ruled By Secrecy, Starlight, and New Born...as well as a few other songs (if you want, try YouTube-ing up piano covers of Citizen Erased and Map of the Problematique done by other fans). Butterflies and Hurricanes is good, but too tricky for me....fast arpeggios and lots of hand cross-overs. I still can't do it without flubbing a few notes. But then again I'm not that good on the piano anyway. :laugh3:

McCain picks Alaska governor as running mate
I think I am now expecting to have something blow up in our faces at the end...
-
Obama names Biden as VP running mate
great. so between both the candidates, obama and mccain....who's less of a monster? even THAT kind of approach to choose doesn't get an answer either. wrong, but it's been amusing how my 10-year-old cousin has been summing up the presidential race too: "we're fucked." (don't worry, he did get into trouble for his word choice, LoL)

Could it have been a LOUDER concert?
I think there was little intended difference towards the sound by the guys + crew. It's got to be the venue + seat location. ~Back in '06 @ Anaheim, the sound was good and loud from what I remember. Plus, I was in the perfect location regarding sound acoustics...directly facing across from the stage from the back. ~The second LA gig for this tour, I was sitting off to the side and back of the arena, and also just under some speakers hanging above there. It was fairly loud, but not as much (really fuzzy instead, and I had to listen to the speakers elsewhere for better clarity). ~And for the San Jose gig, I was sitting close to the stage and under multiple speakers facing down towards the lower-level areas. Now the sound from that area was LOUD...believe me, my hearing was definitely affected afterwards. But aside from that, the loudness also comes from the crowds, methinks. The first few gigs (in CA) of this tour did seem to have had "quieter" crowds than the last tour.

2008 Beijing Olympic Games Thread
*sigh* Here we go with this... There's been lots of random drug testing throughout the games, and I think it was Sunday or Monday (?) was when he was last tested. So far so good, cause otherwise word would be out right now.

Anaheim, CA???
was it mentioned on KROQ?! (i'm guessing Almost Acoustic Christmas headliner?? :stunned:)

Why does Hollywood think you're gay if you like Coldplay?
Right down to the bottom of it, Hollywood is run by a bunch of conservative people. No matter how "unique" you are, you still must abide to the so-called standards (women being beautiful and submissive, men being masculine and tough, etc etc). (Case in point, just look at the '05 Oscars..."Crash" beat out "Brokeback Mountain" for Best Picture, and quite an amount of supporters for the winning flick voted for it because the opposing film was too "homo" :dozey: )

Liam Gallagher still hates Coldplay...or their fans
Indeed :smug:
