aww, that preview somehow made me even MORE excited, and i didn't think that was possible. this looks like the most all-access interview they've ever given :dance:

i got out of class today around noon EST, and i immediately looked at my phone to see if there was any coldplay news. i had SIX texts. i freaked, thinking that twitter and semy facebook all wanted to alert me that something got posted or debs had said something about the project. but then i flicked through them and it was just my friends having a conversation through facebook messages, and a few unrelated coldplay tweets :dozey:. i think i'm going to get slightly frustrated if we don't hear by sunday afternoon. of course, i'm eager now, but i haven't really been annoyed by the lack of response, just because i know there must be a good reason behind it if it's taking this long, like something needing to be processed by the website techs or something. but she did say this week, so we expect this week. god, why did debs have to say anything at all? :lol: if we didn't expect anything coming up, i wouldn't be this greedy. and BTW, angie, the LOLcats thing made me die laughing.

i hope we get word today to cheer everyone up :nice: i'm changing the thread title back. i knew it was overly optimistic :P

interesting, i didn't expect a presale. and yeah, for what you're used to, zoe, they may be small, but for most bands, they're pretty average-sized places, these pavillions. they're small for what coldplay has become :D. i saw radiohead at the comcast center, and it's really nice up there. you can get some REALLY crappy seats in that place, though. i have to decide whether or not to go. i'll give you pointers, if you want, though i'm good at getting TICKETS; angie's good at getting GOOD tickets :nice:

the venues aren't THAT small, these are average-size venues. i've seen them (and almost all of my other artists) at these size venues, and it's not that hard to get tickets, or not as hard as you might think. no presale, i bet. you just have to have a plan of attack.

lore, keep up the hope. i don't know if you saw me say it a few mins ago, but they tweeted that MORE DATES will be announced monday, NOT IN NORTH AMERICA. i think it's you guys :wink: haha, 7,000th post :P

i have my fingers crossed for south america on monday :D (and asia, but i think that's somewhat less likely). i really think you guys will get a shot :nice:

5 people are going to have posted this by the time i say it, but new tweet: more dates announced on monday, not in north america. guess they were getting lots of complaints :P

i would have been more excited if it was south america, actually. i would have been SO happy for you guys :D but jeez, they shouldn't have hyped up something that not as many people can enjoy. that's just not fair. maybe we'll get a postcards update later today to make up for it? :worried:

and it should be a south american or asian tour :angry:. i'm sorry to all of you that live in those areas...this whole thing smacks of reaping in as much money as possible. i feel guilty that we've gotten them three times now.

well. that figures. letdownnnn. though i can go up to mansfield MA to see them...i saw radiohead there. but i'm just going to see them in another month at wembley, so maybe i'm pouring too much money into them :P

oh, well i don't *really* think it's going to be posted tomorrow at noon GMT. i think saturday and sunday are still possibilities for postcard announcements. either way, i hope you're around whenever it comes up, because i'll EXPLODE if there's a video i can't watch :bigcry:

it's a major let down because it's expected and done before. the way this is hyped up, it sounds like it should be something unexpected and something we haven't seen before. also, i figure that it's an announcement of a US leg, which will be the THIRD time they've been here on this tour. i can't complain, since i'd love to see them again before wembley, but south america and most of asia haven't gotten them yet. i also shouldn't spend more money on coldplay tickets :P. i just hope for something brand-new that EVERYONE can get excited over, not just one country or area of countries.

^awww, really? i was hoping this was totally unprecedented so that it would be something especially big :disappointed:. i really want it to be something EVERYONE can enjoy, like a release. back on the postcards topic: whenever it gets announced, and if it so happens to be a video, is there someone who would be able to rip it? how long would that take? i can NEVER get the coldplay video player to work on my computer whatsoever, in any browser, and i think i might wet myself if there's a video posted and i can't watch it :lol:

but there's already a world tour, in my mind it's never technically stopped. they did america all year, then europe, then the UK. now they're on a break, as all bands should have, then they're doing japan and australia, then another break, then back to various places in europe and the UK. to me, that's a world tour, and it's already announced. the only thing they could add to that is the US, which they've done twice over, or south america or asia, which while nice, wouldn't be HUGE, hyped up news because it doesn't affect EVERYONE. of course, this is just speculation. i have a feeling it will be a tour announcement of some sort :disappointed:

:bigcry: i try so hard not to get my hopes up about stuff, yet there's always this little voice in my head saying "well, it's possible that it'll be like you hope it will" and i get so confused :sad: :P. like right now, there's a tiny little voice saying that debs posted that tweet to get us all hyped up and excited, and that the post will be about the project, but that's pretty illogical since nothing about the project would be NEWS to ANNOUNCE :disappointed:. basically, i hope it's a release of some sort :wacky:

i agree, so far they've hyped this up more than anything else that they've hyped so far, if my memory is correct. i figure if they sent out a warning tweet, it must be more significant than tour dates, or even something having to do with the grammys. i'm thinking some sort of release, i guess. part of me thinks it could be a nice little demo from the bakery that they'd post for fun, but that's not NEWS, and i don't think they'd hype up a demo that may or may not become a real song in a year or so. i think all logic points to a release of some sort, since that would affect the most people. a tour in a specific part of the world wouldn't merit a tweet to EVERYONE, i don't think.

i've thoroughly convinced myself that they're just announcing a new US tour leg, which while nice, doesn't excite me all that much. good, so now my heart rate has returned to normal :P. even though i'm still hopeful, i just need to calm down a bit :lol:. i don't mean to be all foolishly optimistic, but if this actually has to do with the project, how awesome would that be :freak:. i can't imagine how it's linked, though.

are you guys sure about the 9am thing? i'm pretty sure the announcement will be made for me at 7am, and i thought chile was one hour behind, meaning that it would be 6am for chile, but i could be entirely wrong. however, i'm pretty certain 7am here means 12pm GMT, since it's 7pm here now and it's 12am there.

i went out to buy elle today, but apparently we don't get latest magazine releases in hickville PA until days later :dozey:. i'll be on the lookout for it, but blergh. i like that outfit, i think it works for her and the weather. i love her casual clothes more consistently than i love her fancy dresses.
