to treat personal opinion as fact is childish. it creates unneeded conflict. if you cool your jets and realize other people think differently, the world is a much nicer place. that said, i'm sad coldplay or radiohead didn't win, but i'm glad a REAL ARTIST with talent (in my definition of talent) won, not lil wayne.

i was pretty surprised this won. i had only heard of the collaboration and the album itself, like, last week. i've always liked zeppelin and plant, but i wasn't impressed by anything i heard off this album, and i was surprised it was up. i figured the race was between lil wayne and coldplay, and that lil wayne would win, based on what i know about how judges pick these things. however, i don't think you can go around saying this is an insult to music, or that VLVOD is the definition of a genius album. on this board you can, but in the same way as you don't think raising sand was worthy, just as many people don't think VLVOD was worthy. it's personal opinion, not fact, and it just so happens that more of the voters personally preferred raising sand. i don't think this is some huge upset in the music world, i don't think the critics are shocked or outraged. personal opinions are always going to clash, and i know most people on this board totally disagree with the award, but that doesn't make it undeserved or wrongly given.

i lament the loss of guy's hair :bigcry:. and that jacket is the same color as chris's eyes :wideeyed:. i looooove the new jackets :wacky: (though i do wish they'd just pack in the costumes and wear street clothes, and nice designer suits to events like this :P).

i just don't like tights in general, pretty much on anyone :P. but i especially don't like them with short dresses and with shoes that aren't high boots.

i think she should have done without the tights, but other than that i loved the dress and the cardigan :D.

OOOH! this sounds completely awesome! i'll laugh my pants off if it's not going to be broadcast on regular MTV or MTV2 in the states. i think a lot of coldplayers will riot if it's only on those hokey-pokey HD or big cable package channels :dozey:

i still don't know what i think about will saying coldplayING. it all makes sense that he would have said that, and that he might have been nervous and fudged it up...but GAH, that would just be too awesome. and debs said "HANG IN THERE," which i take to mean that it's still coming. so everything's not lost, people :D

i squeed when i heard this on 60 minutes. coldplay + christmas...:nice: i hope we get to hear it in full some day, but i'm not holding my breath.

i need new glasses too, this summer. i need to use my current pair as a backup in england in case i need an emergency pair. the ones i have right now are black, square, and by nine west, and i don't want something that's very different from what i have right now, though i kind of want something made by coach :P

they'll be on for much more than that. the show has two different stories in it, plus andy rooney at the end for like three minutes. that's about 42 minutes of content, so like 20 minutes for each story :D.

that is SO awesome. i'm addicted to notebooks anyway, but coldplay notebooks...:wideeyed:. i'd have to buy like three of each kind, though: one to keep in mint condition and two to use :P

yeahh, i'm not too hopeful about his nerves tonight. usually he's bad when he's around celebs, but these are his IDOLS. like i said before, valium and diapers would do wonders for him tonight :P
