  1. so excited :bigcry: my roommate is pissed at me for usurping the TV and missing out on desperate housewives, though :P
  2. sarah, what supermarkets do you have around you? if you have stop & shop or a biggish chain one like that, go down the international isle...that's where i get mine, usually! but beware of the price...expensive :dead:. but yeah, look in the international foods isles, not the cookie isles  and yes, the thread creator says KEEP ON THE JAFFA TALK :crown: :P (until we hear from debs )
  3. oooh so excited :cheesy: my roommate isn't too happy about me taking over the TV for the night, but i don't care :P. she can watch stupid desperate housewives online later.
  4. i know, my phone went off at 5:40 AM, but i didn't check it because i was sleeping. at like 10 i checked it and saw it was a new R42 blog and i got really excited, but i was still too tired to check :P. i wasn't THAT hopeful, though. hey, and i like the offtopic  the second something happens, you know that all the jaffa talk will fall through the grating and it'll just be talk about the response. i say carry on, jaffa-lovers :wacky:.
  5. i got the red one :wacky:. i liked the pattern best because it reminds me of india :nice: well, there's no breaking out of the prep stereotype now :disappointed:
  6. i bought running shoes there the other day. good running shoes for $25--can't beat that! anything name brand would have been upwards of $70. i love that target bought champion :nice:
  7. why must her name be chelsea? :P
  8. has chris, like, ever worn a tie? i can't think of a single picture of him in a tie :P but really. nice, tailored armani suit + chris martin = :sweatdrop:
  9. haha, exactly, i always feel like i have to justify/explain my posts in case debs reads them . i seriously would be happy with just a more detailed note from her, but my brain has been coming up with all these crazy scenarios that get me unhealthily excited :uhoh:
  10. will in a suuuuuit :wideeyed: he should teach the others how to wear them . chris martin in a tailored suit would probably make me pass out :dead:. guy looks adorable too, though :wacky:
  11. my god, i can't believe they got away with that . guy looks like he desperately needs a hairbrush and jonny looks like he just woke up from a nap :P
  12. i had a dream that something like this happened a few weeks ago, no lie. i dreamed that coldplay was performing at the grammys and on the screen behind them were our postcards, going by in a slideshow. i DO NOT expect anything like this to happen, but it was an awesome dream :P
  13. aww . is it even broadcasted over there? i really wish they'd wear suits, though. imagine how drool-worthy they'd look! :wideeyed: :sweatdrop:
  14. i still can't find elle anywhere in this hick town :bigcry: i can't wait till tomorrow, though :wacky:. i hope her dress is pretty. i think they're definitely going to walk the red carpet, but i HIGHLY doubt they'd be caught dead in suits . that'll be the day! i think they'll wear the VLV outfits, but hopefully the "new" ones chris mentioned. isn't this their first group venture in the public in 2009? it would be a good opportunity to wear them.
  15. i have to say that this thread embarrasses me a bit. i think that we americans have a right to be happy and that the people in the ignored countries have a right to be quite disappointed (but also a bit hopeful for monday ). i do not, however, think that we americans have any right to complain nor feel offended by any "america hating" going on. don't you think these people have a right to be upset? the tweets got everyone all worked up, thinking that this might be something EVERYONE could enjoy, and then they find out that they don't get anything out of it, nothing. they're not angry at us or our country, they're angry at the management and the way that this was hyped up to EVERYONE. however, if people that have seen them before on this tour (or even had past tour dates in their area that they may or may not have been able to go to) keep talking and whining like they are, i think they ARE going start "america hating." the tour being in america specifically isn't the issue in my eyes--if they were visiting the UK or anywhere else for the third time on a big tour leg while ignoring other very large and loyal continents, people would be similarly angry after hyping it up like they did. i don't think these coldplayers are angry about it being in AMERICA, they're angry about it being anywhere for the third time. i'm american, and i'm gettng frustrated with the americans that are whining about them not being close enough to them, even though several of those people have seen them at least once this year judging by their signatures. it embarrasses me, frankly. of course, there are those americans that haven't seen them at all this year either, but put yourself in the shoes of a person from a country that hasn't seen coldplay at all this year and think about how much WORSE that must feel. the biggest mistake in all this was hyping it up through twitter without being specific to area. if this had been announced without fanfare, i have a feeling that the reactions would be slightly less strong, although still disappointed. i think a lot of this is because the spirits soared so high for one night, then crashed. let them be disappointed, and realize how lucky we are. and everyone should be hopeful for monday :D. i have a good feeling about south america  EDIT: sorry to bring up all the heavy stuff again when it had gotten all lighthearted for a while :P. but that took me a while to type, and when i started, the heavy stuff was still going on
  16. ^exactly my point: i highly doubt it'll be a debs post: it'll either just be a post or a R42 post, i think, and we know that those sorts of things go up on weekends  i've also just eaten the chocolate off a jaffa cake before . i completely dissected the thing and separated the sponge from the orange squidgy bit. it was rather fun :shy:
  17. i know debs says she doesn't work on weekends, but i still have some hope for tomorrow and sunday. she's hinted that it might be something posted on the website, and i think it's taken so long because whatever it is needs to be edited and processed by web techs or something, and they're the ones that would post it once it's ready. something tells me whatever it is, if it's more than a blog, is out of debs's hands right now, and that the web tech guys have lots on their plates this week so they haven't gotten to it yet. but stuff DOES get posted on the official site on weekends, so i think there's hope, especially if debs isn't the one posting it, and i don't think she is. that's just me completely speculating, though
  18. exactly. the US and the UK are some of the only countries where coldplay (and most bands) play more than one location, more than just the capital city or the biggest city. i've driven/travelled up to 5 hours for coldplay so far (and in september, i'll do significantly more than that), but people just need to keep in mind how lucky we are with coldplay in america, and to put yourself in the shoes of someone from south america or asia and think how you'd feel if they bypassed your country altogether. it's not that we americans shouldn't be happy, it's that we should realize how lucky we are and not be greedy.
  19. shit, rudy, i read this post and my heart stopped! i thought you were like, alerting me to see that debs had posted something. keep in mind that the SECOND i see something about the project somewhere, i'll be changing the thread title to "HOLY MUFFINS" and probably "POST ON CP.COM" or something. if the thread title is still the same as it always is, nothing's happened, unless you refresh 10 seconds later and it's a different title :P
  20. i think it's a bit unfair for most americans to be saying that they should broaden the tour to come to places closer to them, especially when they've covered this continent twice over so far and especially when most people saying these things have seen them at least once this year. i feel like between the three tours, they've covered us damn well, while other continents and countries, not at all. they hit chicago their last time here, and ohio too. it's someone elses' turn now, specifically south america and asia.
  21. i got two boxes of jaffa cakes in the mail yesterday :wacky: i miss england :bigcry:. i can't wait to have them cheaply and readily available!
  22. it's definitely right next to that bistro--i've been there myself  i'm almost more excited for 60 minutes than for the grammys :uhoh:
  23. it's like on the line between camden and belsize park. i think it's technically in belsize park, but it's so close to camden that its hard to say.
