odd weather indeed in the susquehanah valley of PA! all week it's been 80 degrees F (26 degrees C) here and absolutely beautiful. it feels like july, and it's early april! i spent pretty much all day reading out on the lawn on a blanket, and i actually have a bit of a tan now. insane! where i'm from (4 hours away by car), it's still normal april weather, but the crazy climate we get here has got something to do with being in the valley. we get unbelievably warm weather compared to the rest of the area and insane amounts of rain, but it's been so beautiful and summery all week! i can't believe i'm wearing shorts and filp flops in april.

haha, now looking at old coldplay.com too...that was my next stop, of course!! it looked so cool! hey, i wonder if this place is going to get a bit of a makeover with the new album art? will the X&Y theme die?

yeah, i counted this as a chatroom, which i suppose it is, but i don't really consider it one. some odd questions...hmm. internet quizzes are always good, though. and that one returned a site that i should check out that i'd never heard of...called www.thewaybackmachine.org and i'm currently exploring what this board looked like circa february, 2001 :laugh1:

haha, whoops, i just realized that where i'm sitting is not covered by a roof. i.e., if it's raining, my mom is not going to be too happy. ah, well, i'll BE there! as long as i know it's going to rain and i'm prepared for it, i don't mind at all. whee!!

aw, well nevermind then :sad: for me, i cannot believe that's been a month! it seems like a week ago.

think about all the time passing this way: it's been almost exactly a month since all the news spilled out about the album; march 17-20, it was. it's april 12 today. i don't know about you guys, but that month just FLEW by for me! i have a very hard time believing that was a month, actually. so just two more of those little spans of time and we've got it in our hands! and probably a couple songs in that time too to keep us going. just think: they could have made the album release a LOT later, like in august or novemeber or something insane. we don't have much longer to wait at all!!

ewwwww fish flavored pringles!! i'm not afraid of fish as food, but i don't like it either. ickkkk, fish flavored pringles...i guess the prawn cocktail flavor is close enough to that, though! i think canadians do tend to spell things the british ways...am i right? it seems like you guys do. it seems like the rest of the WORLD does. we've just got to be the original ones, haven't we?

are we sure that there's a hidden track, though? i think we're making a big assumption here. they didn't have one on AROBTTH, so i don't think we can say it's a given. i don't think "escapist" will be on the album at all, that we'll just get it in the soundtrack or in the film or not at all. EDIT: never mind, semy sorted me out :smiley: thing in the billboard article and all that. whoopsies!

see, when they say that they're going to release a song or two, i'm not really counting them as singles with B-sides and videos. i think 42 will be the legit single that's put out on itunes and on CD with a video and b-sides, but that we'll get a track released on the website only or something without anything else attatched to it. i don't think they'll even count it as a single; it'll just be a taster of what's to come. and WOW, i NEVER made that connection with the videos before: yellow, the scientist, fix you. how did i miss this?!?! and i call myself a film student.

yeah, b-sides are the one or two songs that come out on the same disc/download as the singles. that and music videos are why i think singles are so exciting! usually there's one single released shortly before the album and two-three after, all with one or two b-sides each.

ditto. i really REALLY hope both of those end up as b-sides. i'll be really sad if we never get to hear them. well, maybe i shouldn't be saying that because i have NO idea what they sound like, but i love the titles so much that i think they would have great potential as songs.
