i thought the same thing. i mean, i love "speed of sound," but two huge singles from two different album that are creepily similar? i hope they don't pull that again, even though i loved both. but this one is supposed to have a killer guitar solo, so already it sounds different.

i like the way VLV looks in all caps better though. VlV looks like a spliced W.

VLV, i guess, even though i still think it sounds vaguely dirty :laugh4: i like vilavi as well, though, but it doesn't go with all of our other CP abbreviations.

:rolleyes: i'm known for getting way too excited about things like this...but i only do it for things i care about! like coldplay or barack obama or certain films! i swear i'm not a psychopath that gets excited about every little ray of sunshine :P glad people are enjoying my excitement, though :nice:

i think X&Y was a pretty cool album title IMO, and i've always loved the artwork to death. parachutes has always seemed a bit unoriginal to me, and AROBTTH is a good title, i guess, but i've never been a fan of it (the title; the album is my favorite thing EVER). the phrase AROBTTH always puts semi-gory images into my mind, i don't know. it probably has something to do with the eroded/exploded head on the cover as well. viva la vida isn't my favorite title ever, i'll definitely say that. but i can think of much lamer titles that we'd be bitching about more. and i'm just really happy it's not self-titled. that would have made me smack my forehead and roll my eyes.

eeee! more news!! i love this time SO MUCH. 42! thats one of the songs i'm most excited about. and their first singles are always really epic, so it's bound to be good. i'm thinking mid-late may. OMG, MUSIC VIDEO. sorry, music videos are like my favorite things ever (good ones, that is), and i'm pretty much drooling thinking about it.

true, true. i guess i didnt think about how freaking LONG they toured. when you said tour, i took it to mean "promotion," i guess. but yeah...touring two years after an album release is a bit much. i don't think they will do that again. it seemed the second leg of the tour (in USA only, i think?) was a bit of an afterthought as well. i saw them in august 05 on the "twisted logic" tour, then freaked out in happiness when i saw they were doing the "talk" tour in spring 06 and saw them again. and then they went to SA!

they were so nervous for this one that they resorted to HYPNOSIS. chris just needs to chill the fuck out! i love him, but he's got to realize that he DOES have fans, loyal ones! that's not to say they can put out shit, but still. he stresses too much, it seems. then again, perhaps i should hold my tongue until i here VLV. (haha, new acronym like AROBTTH or GPASUYF or IMP!! VLV sounds almost dirty, though! :laugh4:)

^recording sessions seemed to be more productive and positive, yes, but almost TOO productive! all the re-records and new songs seemed to set them back a TON. you can't see them touring long? why not? i'm just wondering, because i think this will be sort of like X&Y in the sense that they'll promote it a lot like they did with that one. i personally think pre-ordering is a waste of time and shipping money. you can download the album instantly to the computer, or you could go to a shop. i suppose if you live in a remote area and really want to have the physical CD then it makes sense, but i have bad luck with the mail and it wouldn't come when it needed to. i like instant satisfaction, namely downloading the thing at the stroke of midnight :D as for me, this is my plan: user martin the warrior on here says that it's coming out on 13 june in ireland where he is, and because i won't have internet access on the 17th, he's willing to get the songs to be before i leave on holiday! that's what it sounds like anyway, which makes my LIFE because i'll have the music without having to worry about downloading it ASAP or waiting in agony for a shop with wifi to open etc etc. i'm still planning to buy the physical thing, of course, so coldplay will still get their money from me! :dance: AHH, i can't believe we KNOW now!
