ditto. i love all of those descriptions about chris that they made. that's my kind of guy right there :D but who's to say that that isn't gwyneth's type of guy?? so what that they've got different styles (because i think they undoubtedly do have different styles)? i don't think that the different styles thing will necessarily ruin their relationship. they've obviously shown over the years that they don't mind doing things apart. gwyneth can go hang on the yacht for a week while chris eats his organic oatmeal at home and rides around london on a bike with notes on his hand. as long as they're not hurting the kids or making it difficult for them and as long as THEY'RE ok with that relationship, then who gives a crap? married couples dont have to be brangelina and be joined at the hip (though i do think its slightly unnatural to NEVER be seen together...but hey, i guess it's whatever floats their boat), and as long as they're happy and healthy doing their separate things and keeping a good environment for apple and moses, then people need to stop picking on them. on the other hand, i agree with tracie: i always thought they were an odd couple from the start, but it doesn't matter what i think.

march 15 is a saturday, actually...:D i don't actually know if i even did the 'next prospekt entry' sweepstake, but i'm going to check now, and if i didn't then i'm going to put in for friday march 14. even though i think i might be wrong. did a good job distracting myself today, but i did sneak into the apple store in my mall and use the macbook air to check coldplay.com for star action...well, i can't very well go cold turkey NOW, can i?? :p

run, fatboy, run comes out march 28th here! i'm TOTALLY finding a way to get there once it's out; i don't care what essays or exams i have that week. gahhhhhh, simon pegg! he wrote this one, too (as well as HF and SOTD), so it's BOUND to be good! ok, back on the topic :rolleyes: was in the apple store today, and i'm really really lusting after an ipod touch even though i have no need for it. but i watched the speed of sound video on it, and as i was watching it, the speed of sound song came on over the sound system in the store! they play awesome music in there. also checked coldplay.com for new stars while using the AMAZING macbook air in the store, but alas...nothing.

all i need. now it gets harrrrrrrrrd! but i think i know what the outcome will be, and i agree with it, so i suppose it's not that hard. did we have a double elimination last round?

^blood and ice cream trilogy is just the trio of movies written by simon pegg and edgar wright featuring simon pegg and nick frost, among others. SOTD was the first, HF was the second, and the third is due out in 2009 or so. they're so called because they're all gory and involve ice cream in the form of cornettos. ok, will shut up now :P but i really have an unhealthy obsession with these films.

yeah, as justin said, it varies in the US. you can vote and are considered a legal adult at 18, but can't drink until you're 21 (i used to think this was kind of ridiculous, but i believe in it more and more every day, even though the age makes pretty much no difference in the amount of alcohol consumed). for driving, it varies state to state, but in most states you can get a permit at 16 and a liscense soon after that. some states you can get a permit at 15, and other states are trying to push the whole driving thing back to 18. i'm glad i got in before those laws get passed!

i actually only branched out to the other sections around november 2007 or so! and i've been here two years! the coldplay section will always be my home base, no matter how much i post in the lounge and WoM. i have faith for this week, but i also feel like i'm setting myself up for a letdown...i suppose it's good i'm busy at uni. if i was still out of school like i was this spring through winter, i'd probably go insane with coldplay-stalking!

hot fuzz is basically my life. as a film student (well, film student in the making...i have to go through all the dumb requirements before i can declare my major in US unis), i get the weirdest looks when i say that's in my top 5 movies of all time. frankly, though, it's genuis! the writing is spectacular, as is the directing. yes, it's also entertaining as hell, but people don't seem to realize that it's got cinematic worth as well. SOTD as well, but HF slightly more. i think the only thing i'm anticipating more than LP4 and seeing coldplay and radiohead live again is seeing their third movie in the "blood and ice cream trilogy." ohmygod. i watched it twice on sunday...:rolleyes: i checked in at coldplay.com at 8PM here just in case they were going to put up THE star at midnight GMT, but no cigar :mean:

my god, three years ago TODAY?! wowie, i didn't realize that. i suppose it's fitting that i've spent a large part of my day stalking coldplay.com and commiserating with semy, then. eeek, i'm letting myself get too hopeful about this friday! must...stop! i think i'm going to need to go on another movie and shoping excursion to get my mind off of all this. friday i'm going to need something really, really good...

haha! well, i'm back now, and i see you're still here! :P i successfully got my mind off THE star through the cinema and retail therapy. well, not therapy, but i got my mind off of it for a while, which was the point. and now i'm back here, wallowing in anticipation. saw that SOTD got its own star, though, which makes me happy. EDIT: ok, now you're gone as well. nevermind :(

haha, i've been out to get my mind off THE star--glad they gave SOTD its own star! it most certainly deserves it. now i've REALLY got my hopes up for friday...i might rampage if it's not up by midday on saturday. well, ok, certainly not rampage, but i'll be quite disappointed that another week has passed without us knowing. and that i'll have to celebrate THE star at uni, which will have to be a much more toned-down celebration.

^^that's pretty much my whole frustration for this album: nothing's been set in stone so far, not even the songs included or the tracklisting! i hate inconclusiveness in pretty much every venue, so it's really getting to me. once they give us a release date, i can wait for everything else to be decided because we'll have the date where everything else will be solved. but the mystery and the lack of a plan is killing me! i hate guesses and i hate surprises. ok, now i'm REALLY leaving.

the thing is, every time i refresh coldplay.com, the year right beneath where it says "JAN" and "FEB" flashes "2008" before it goes to whatever year the most recent star is in (right now 2004), and my heart jumps a little in excitement. i've really got to get my mind off this. i'm off to the movies and the bookstore :D

the capital I seems appropriate :P i very much hope that RS was right about them releasing "violet hill" online "in the coming weeks." let's see, the article was posted 2/27, and i take "coming weeks" to mean no more than 5... but the article did say that the band was only considering it...blargh. as i've said before, i wish coldplay.com itself had RSS feeds. then every time a new star was posted i would get a little pop-up...or better yet, i wish i could get a text message! then i'd never miss a thing for classes or errands! :laugh1:

that's not messy. at least I don't think it is! i posted pics of my dormroom a few pages back, and somehow i manage to keep that very clean. but i'm at home now...and i'm going to refrain from posting pics of my home room...just too embarrassing. i will once i get it re-done this summer, though. its more that it just looks funny than it's messy, per se. lots of blank spaces on the wall where posters were taken down to put on my dorm walls etc. not nice.

i deffi think it's going to be fishes and jigsaw. and i love singing along to faust arp as well! though only in my car when no one can hear me...:P

true, true, true. the (very large) crazy side of me thinks that if they're not going to give us the Information soon, then they MUST be pulling something like a radiohead; i.e., telling us only a few days before they release it or something. but if they're doing a conventional CD release in stores, that doesn't make much sense because the CD shipment will be on the inventory lists of many stores for weeks... i still think they might be doing something a little different with this release. hoepfully it's different enough that they won't be pinned as radiohead copycats. then again, they do still have to work within their EMI contract...

now that there's this "secret" thingy, i'm probably going to scrounge all future star posts on that site...just in case. :P i wonder why they did that, though. it's got no real connection to garden state. i'd love to hear chris and jonny talk about it.

OMG YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!! it takes you to youtube where you can watch the SOTD DVD extra!! haha! coldplay is actually the reason i watched SOTD the first time; i'd heard chris and jonny were in it. then i fell in LOVE with the movie even without their cameos. and then i saw hot fuzz....which i love even more and is actually one of my favorite movies of all time. so i credit coldplay with my simon pegg/edgar wright obsession. kind of wish there was a hilarious little note to go along with this clip, though!

hahaha, that's true! but these are my two favorite threads on this whole site, so i figure its appropriate. spring break does wonders for my coldplaying addiction... yes, i believe you're right about the summer sonic thing! it was on 2/28, and the other star was in 1999 about the launch of coldplay.com. god, i'm pathetic...

i suppose it's getting too late in the GMT day to post again? i mean, it is only 4, but by the time i check later on in the day EST, itll be much later there and then the chances go down...i wonder if they've ever posted in the middle of the night before? god, i can't believe i'm spending so much time thinking about this! :rolleyes:

it happened...i think sometime a few weeks ago. there was a two star day once, i swear...i have to find when, though. unfortunately, neither were prospekt entries, i don't think. but i remember being very very excited.

i'm...4 hours behind i believe. if it is 4:37 GMT right now, that is. its 12:36 EST where i am. not that i expect you to analyze that or anything for me! :P and they just posted a star in the last hour or so! so that means they posted it around...3? hmm. i wonder if thats when they usually post things.

^hahaha! well, it may cause false hope, but its actually really cool to see it laid out like that! it really makes me believe that we'll be getting something this week/next week, even though my pessimism has been growing by the hour. i just REALLY hope its this week...gah! did your analysis by any chance include the time of day that most entries are posted? i've been trying to work it out in my head, but i don't have concrete eveidence or anything like that to back it up. besides, for me there's the time differece. but now i'm convincing myself that certain times of day are more likely to have new stars than others...
