Viva la Vida - Joy Electric Version
if the singing wasn't there, and they did electronic notes as lyrics, it'd sound a lot better

No school because of swine flu!
don't be scared, it's really not that bad - I went to St. Francis Prep (you might remember that name from the news: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/25/nyregion/25sick.html) That Thursday within an hour and a half, 80 kids were at the nurses office. The next day, about 500 kids were absent (out of 2700 kids) - 4/5 my five classes had only 8 people in it. They closed the school to clean it, and then what happened? All the kids that went to SFP went and hung out with each other spreading germs regardless. Only around 100 people had it, out of 2700, that's not that bad at all. They were quarantined and what not, but when you look at the deaths that occurred in the U.S., all the patients died because of other complications like pneumonia, so there's nothing to be really worried about. The two people I hung around with all the time had it, and I didn't catch it at all. Just keep naturally clean habits, wash your hands, sneeze in your elbow, yadda yadda yadda. What's worse it that they closed school the week before AP exams, so none of the curriculums were finished and there was no review for the tests. We also had to make up the school - but since I was a senior, I didn't really go to the last days of class anyway XD Hopefully when you're not in school, they won't continue to give you school work.

White Lies: Touring with Kings of Leon was better than with Coldplay
I'm more peeved that he said, "...sorry Chris Marin, sorry Snow Patrol..." How did Coldplay get turned into one person and Snow Patrol still stayed a full band?

Green Day
they do more than pull people on stage, as you saw from the pics I was off to the side and I was doing some serious whining in my head that I wasn't in the pit for ex - one of the kids that got on the stage got to keep a bass guitar but even though I was in the stands, you could see how into the music the entire crowd was - they were singing, yelling, chanting, anything you can think of they did it they've even started playing a lot more of their older songs - they performed for 3 hours!

One year with Coldplay...
Fan since 2002 - that's 7 years! That's just over 1/3 of my life XD I was younger than and devastated I couldn't get tickets to any of their shows. My friends and I had actually gotten together to buy a group package from MSG - we missed it by one call... Then I saw Coldplay in my first concert in 2006 at Nassau Coliseum. I had to pay for my own ticket...I didn't eat lunch for a month and a half XD And now here I am 5 Coldplay concerts later... =D

Green Day
It was pretty freaking awesome, lol, XD If there's one thing Green Day knows how to do is entertain a crowd, they'll do everything from pull people out of the stands, out of the pit, jump into the stands - it's ridiculous the show i went too actually had a lot of older dedicated fans - there were 40 year olds moshing, it was great! XD Are you a big fan?

Green Day

Green Day
so, what's wrong with being American? And that just shows you didn't listen to the album American Idiot at all, or 21st Century Breakdown and as too artists that sellout, U2 is doing the new blackberry commericial - there are many more sellouts out there and i can guarantee you no matter what, a green day concert will be one of the best you ever go too

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
Sooo...the pictures aren't that good, but at the Saratoga show, Guy was right in front of me at Stage B! But he wasn't facing me! However, I must say, getting to see is lovely bottom shake back and forth behind the bass was just as good...XD

[RESCHEDULED DATE] 27-July-2009: SPAC, Saratoga Springs, NY, USA
More Pictures! I drove up from NYC on Sunday for the concert. That same day I went into SPAC and checked out where my cousin and I would be sitting, I brought my lil baby cousin to her first concert =D The first act was Kitty, Daisy and Lewis(?) - IMO, Kitty should go solo. I had never really listened to Elbow before hand, but after seeing their performance, I am definitely going to go pick up a CD. Their music was melodic, and everyone on stage, although their music doesn't entail rocking out, drew your attention. Their music flowed smoothly through you, evoking a calm and amazed reaction. I hope their studio albums provide the same feeling. As for the lackluster crowd, I'm not sure if it's because of the area, or the fact that Coldplay in general attracts an older crowd here in the states. Most the people at the venue, within the seating area, seemed to be older couples, or older parents that brought their kids. I was sitting in section 12 in the aisle seats and I can tell everyone that the only people letting their hearts out were myself and these two guys that seemed to be around my age (18). This is my fifth Coldplay concert, my 4th of the Viva La Vida Tour. Compared to the other shows, Chris's singing was has perfect as possible. However, besides the two different sections, the band-fan interaction was horrible. If you weren't a fan of coldplay, or didn't know some of the songs, I could see how it would be a bit hard for you to get into the concert. I was standing two people away from them while they played on Stage B, they acted like people weren't even surrounding them. Story telling is the only way Coldplay truly interacts with their fans. There is the singing during fix you and VLV, and also the clapping duriing VLV, but with such amazing songs and a charismatic singer, I hope as time progresses they will become even looser with their interaction and playing. I also managed to obtain a setlists from the soundbooth for my cousin and I - so that made my night...besides my LRLR CD!! =D I'm currently uploading my Billie Jean recording and the pictures, I'll post them shortly.
