I went to my first Coldplay concert alone, but I met a lot of Coldplayers over there. No problem.

went to a neon party during the weekend. I seized the chance and made a Coldplay (glowing in the dark) LP5 era t-shirt!

Charlie Brown is getting a lot of promotion this last weeks, so I think it will be the next single or LP5's first single.

I think that CB is going to be the next single. They are giving it too much promotion.

you're right - probably they just got back from the US. The logical thing will be to wait this week and the next one for them to sort out the last details and then expect the announcement.

I think that the most official answer is the one you're quoting from Q Magazine. It is normal for bands to have an initial idea and then change it during the recording sessions. At last, they decided to make an album with different kind of songs, and maybe Us Against The World was part of that initial acoustic and stripped down album.
