  1. Here, shops are open, for the most part. I have no complaints, nothing worth posting at least! Maybe ... you could create your own Spiderman comic book?!:)
  2. Ice tumbling automatically out of a machine, cooling fans starting up
  3. Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Part of the Commonweath, headed by the Queen! :crown:
  4. Wow, this place looks totally different when the site is translated into Arabic! :stunned::) Anyhow, I may be busy for Easter, but Y'all have fun!
  5. When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse I crawled out from under a rock, and made it rock and roll! ;)
  6. Ich bin ein Berliner. Cologne
  7. Images of larger structures give some ideas:https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=home%20dome%20tropical%20environment%20for%20the%20north&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=to1PUeXGPIHU9QTbr4DoAg&biw=925&bih=643&sei=EpBPUZjEDYya9QTFrYGoCw
  8. Nature often makes the best art on an endless canvas - nice pics! And the charcoal space monster is well done, has potential!
  9. Out of the darkness into the light - I find it an appropriate transition for an equestrian exposition. I'll ask a Royal Couple for their opinion when next I chat with them. ;) Not sure why they play the original Star Wars theme song.. Anyhow, looks great Ian!
  10. The pallete of human experience is more varied than all the colors birds can see, and we add colours as we go. Brit Floyd was on PBS the past couple of nights, I very much enjoyed it! Winter domes should be created around the environment we want, which might look something like this: http://www.cairns-greatbarrierreef.org.au/media/6441/bg-thrill_1.jpg
  11. :laugh3: Well, I'm not quite that Scandanuuvian, but pretty close. I just like their ideal way of handling winter - head into the sauna, get all warmed up and relaxed, than go out and roll in the snow, then back into the sauna to warm up - add some tropical plants, a little pickled fish and rye bread, or a tray of pineapple and mango slices, and some warm lights to keep the eyes happier. & San Diego needs a new weatherman! Southern Florida is like that too - a major winter front = temps. in the 60's, maybe even rain! Keeps the ducks happy.
  12. Quite a range in the ranges of that desert! The encyclopedia galactica describes several micro-climates, the most well known being of course the least habitable for all life. But then they grow alfalfa in some parts! Anyhow, I must go and attend to my duties as chef for one. TTYL!
  13. Naturally! The drug of money, it's a gas. I wish there was more investment in efficiency - maybe someone needs to start an efficiencies future, where the investments in proper insulation and ventilation pay off in terms of fuel saved, amortized over time for increasing costs of the fuels.. then everyone would get comfy homes, and save money, and that pesky planet's ecosystems might normalize at a livable level some time in the future..
  14. Rando<m P/osts the bromeliad out the window is waving about, and it appears to have a towel hanging on its arm. I must attend to my post, lest miss daisy thinks I've deserted her. :daisy:
  15. Embrace the cool weather, dress like a lion with a mane! I miss the cold weather, the refreshing air, the whisk of snow all around. Where in California? There must be 6 or 7 climate zones there at least?
  16. Naturally, natural gas - but the future belongs to the efficient:). As things go on and on as they go on and on, so I would imagine the gas companies enjoy cool weather in the profit margins, without a doubt. At least we use the natural gas now, rather than flaring it off into the sky as was the case.. I can only hope for change at the highest levels, though change from all directions will lead us to a better future.
  17. Indoors, it's around 76; outdoors, warm - 80's! Clouding up for some storms tonight, here on Gilligan's Isle.
  18. The saw palmettos wave happily in the breeze, ice cream social was enjoyed by all, from January until now I haven't done anything at bingo, dime bingo I've won a few times, no! I've never been up there for bingo, it's fun it's fun, the floor's wet, just a little bit. how you doin'?
  19. I just wonder if they are making a studio album like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8qRDhKSbk8&feature=endscreen
  20. Having a conversation with a Canadian today, and then realizing when he spoke about the government promise of balancing the budget in two years, he was speaking of the Canadian Government!
  21. YES we do serve miners here. :builder:
  22. I need some major advice. I'm very passionate about my music. I'll write out lyrics for songs, and express how I truly feel. However, I feel embarrassed to sing these songs in front of people. I feel I can sing songs about self pain and or joy because somebody might ask, "Hey whats wrong?" How can I overcome this? I don't mind singing in front of people but fear people will think my choice of words and or lyrics sound cheesy etc. Goodnight everyone. :escaping3: I spoke with a performer down here who's only fear was playing to someone he knew in the audience, and his advice was to just look up at to the back wall beyond the audience, and once you get into a groove, you've got the audience with you, then it's easy to just be your natural self. I think he played Jimmy Buffet type songs (hey, this is Florida!). Goodnight Keaton

  24. Maybe they're working on a studio album?
  25. > Glad you had some good times, and sorry to hear about those problems - they always seem to come in threes. I hope you're allright there - from the sounds of it, nothing major, I hope. Tyres, yes, they are quite expensive, though your vehicle must take some classy ones at that price! Keep looking forwards to that next vacation, and may the light of good fortune shine favorably upon you!:)
