I haven't posted on the forums in well over three years. But this was worth the awakening!

As a long time Coldplay fan, I've learned not to compare their new material with their old stuff. simply because the songs they wrote at those time were from experiences and ideas of that time. So I don't think that kind of thing can be recaptured if it could then those songs wouldn't be as unique and great as they were. With all that said I love the song and Jonny's riff at the end brings out the whole thing for me

you know i was very skeptical on how the writers of the show could make One Tree Hill better......they shocked the hell out of me tonite....with back to back changes in each characters storyline.....i think the Brooke's was the most shocking for me....and i actually missed 20 mins of the episode so i didnt even know that reign of love was played...such an emotional tune

We can see that this is for sure their first time playing COL throughout since the recording sessions....Chris forgot some of the words in the second verse....but i am beyond excited about the live performance of Cemetries.......

Hey everybody i was just watching One Tree Hill and when brooke announces to her mom that she's gonna fight for her company out of No where Violet Hill starts......I Love hearing my fav band on TV

not sure if anyone else has written this so i apologize in advanced if they have....but i can't help but notice the guys are playing 42 along with other singles such as clocks...and In My Place, very noticebale from the today show.

I'm hoping that people will now take to this forum.....now that the new album has been heard by everyone. I'll be the first to share 42: does anyone hear the acoustic guitar in this song on the break?

this B-side reminds me so much of the AROBTTH era.....if the other songs are as good as this.....i will be very happy with Coldplay

personally i don't like that song....because of the very very very very very long intro that never builds into anything.....but as far as Violet Hill goes i thought that might have been the case. there are so many tracks connected to each other in this album....if their anything like everything's not lost/life is for living i already know i won't be disappointed.

I couldn't over the long intro segment of Violet hill which caused me to remember the long intro's from Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism.....Coldplay could have very much gone in this direction with tracks that seem to go into one another....the beginning of Violet Hill could very well be the end of the Viva la Vida track. has anyone else latched on to this theory?

thought it was time i re awakened this thread as we all hear diff things in the song....lol i know for sure that theirs an acoustic guitar in the track i can hear kinda panned left of my headphones

i have to say it sound like Tears for fears - closest thing to heaven song....lol but i like it....i mean on my best day i couldnt composed anything like that.....also to add it kinda reminds me of How you see the world No. 2

I like it but i don't love it yet....i'm have already worked out the chords and guitar riffs (as you can see i'm very obsessed with their music) the thing that sticks out to me is that it reminds me of hip hop. the way the guys do the 8 count on the breaks it reminds me of a hip hop beat beginning.....i absolutely love the ending piano part.....and also to add the guy who posted that he heard it before all of us, we now know he lied....lol there is indeed false settle and it doesnt start with a jagged guitar distortion....it starts with martins martin's strong vocals barreling over the music.....i just wanted to say that so we know his amount of credibility...lol

so someone needs to record the premiere for all of us american people.....lol i have no idea how to get 1Live radio from germany.....im hoping that some kind german soul will record it and post it

well it seems.......Coldplay are doing what Death cab for cutie is for their upcoming album.....there was an article in rolling stone talking about their new album and a track from the album (I forget the name) but the track was an instrumental and just when you thought it would continue through as an instrumental the guy sings a line about some girl. sorry if I messed up the info.......but I expected coldplay to have an instrumental of some sort working with Brian Eno and all.
