  1. ^yeah, few years ago they made quite a few changes to spice it up, like limiting the area the goalie and go behind the net and adding shootouts to league game overtimes.
  2. I was thinking about this while picking teams, but by the looks of the rules, there is no difference between a midfielder's goal and a striker's goal (though that may have been the case in the fantasy premier league). The midfielder just gets 1 point for a clean sheet while a defender gets 4.
  3. just saw it last night. I agree, top five.
  4. grammar nazi :dozey: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPTo30dZXCY]YouTube- Grammar Nazi[/ame]
  5. you've been to the world cup before...just say 5 days to the world cup.
  6. rules say you can change it: To change the team formation, simply select your chosen eleven players on the My Team page. The computer will automatically choose your formation based on the players you have selected. Valid formations are: 3-5-2 3-4-3 4-4-2 4-3-3 4-5-1 5-3-2 5-4-1
  7. I was looking for it this morning before work, but I don't think it was televised here (the other friendly's were). Espn says the the u.s. played a 4-3-3, which I much prefer.
  8. ...was just about to ask. this should make for a fun evening.
  9. don't know why I didn't see this before I posted. They televised the game here, and I was chuckling because it was nil-nil after one half. Its not unlikely that they won't get passed the group stage this time. So much talent, such little chemistry.
  10. great special on the world cup/u.s. team in the latest sports illustrated. They had some expert predict the results, and he had serbia making it to the semis (which I found surprising).
  11. I've noticed that the blackhawks arena plays 'streets' near the ten minute mark in the 3rd period, while I think philly plays elevation early on.
  12. I get that, but deist's replace religious faith with faith in reason so one shouldn't be content with a 'whatever floats your boat' attitude. I'm torn between deism and agnosticism  deism is basically theistic agnosticism in that one acknowledges a God based on observation of the natural world, but its nature is ambiguous and incomprehensible. Obviously there will always be limits to one's knowledge, but I guess the obvious starting block is, 'what viable argument/evidencedo you see for the existence of God?
  13. how 'bout that for a close call? If you just got home there was a similar one earlier that just barely crossed.
  14. well this final has been nothing short of exciting, looking like OT now. Might I mention that, ignoring game one, Niemi is one hell of a goalie. even against San Jose he was virtually flawless. If you had a leighton in net, I'm convinced philly would be winning the series.
  15. how about fed missing his first major semi in about six years?
  16. you're a naughty boy, ricardo.
  17. deism isn't apathetic or relativist.
  18. Even though I'm going for the flyers, I pretty much agree. Especially about Carcillo who is a completely moron. That said, there are a lot of flyers players I do like and while it was split last game, the flyers didn't have a single penalty first game.
  19. lol, I expected someone to make a semen joke, I didn't expect it to be a self-deprecating chick.
