it's almost a parody of a stereotypical 'muse' song. It's so mechanically arranged all the way down to the arpeggiated synths and twinkly piano outro. They desperately need to find a new niche.

reminds me of when I try introducing new bands I like to my dad. When we go out to lunch I'll bring along a carefully assembled mix. And even though I choose accessible songs that I'm sure he'll like, all the little dissonances seem much more prominent when I play them in his car.
