Great news! Actually looking forward to this performance now! I really enjoyed Brittany's solo album.

Think it will just be Everyday Life in a piano. A collab with Dua Lipa or Post Malone would be cool tho.

Didn't know Debs was active on the forum still. I do remember her leaving at beginning of the MX Era because of the drama. People were outraged at the Rihanna colab news lol.

I'm back! (again). I had a dream about Coldplay two nights ago. It was quite livid. For some reason they were refusing to play all the hits and people were really mad lol. At last I got to "experience" Politik live in my dreams.

Same. Don't feel like I'm doing well these days. It's kinda helping listening to Coldplay again tho. There's so some sort of familiarity related to their music that it feels somehow like a relief. I also dreamt of going to a Coldplay concert but for some reason it ended before I could get in the venue.

Well, seems like there's lots of catching up that I have to do in this forum if I ever plan to be a kind of active member again. Glad I can always come here to find some good Oldplay content tho.

I know I'm late to the party but even if we get AHFOD part 2 next year, I'm extremely happy we got this album. I almost felt relief after the first full listen, because deep down we all knew the band was still there. This is probably going to be a really short era so I say we make the most it, I for one can't wait to hear all these new amazing songs played live.

Meh. Popplay is definitely not my thing. Better than most of AFHOD at least.

Things are finally setting in motion it seems. Exciting days, weeks and months are ahead of us! Hope it's full or suprises, like Chris said.

It's kinda cool this feeling of uncertainty towards what the band is doing. Up until mid-summer I was sure we would get something new before the year ends, now not so much. I still think they'll do Glastonbury 50 and maybe some other festivals before as warm-up. Kinda off topic but Keane released their new album today. Can't believe they managed to sound nostalgic and so good without relying on their old tricks. Saddens me to say that Coldplay is too big to do that now, but part of the uncertainty means I can still have some hope.

Glad to see more posts since the last time I lurked here. Hearing Violet Hill on piano was so beautiful.

That tweet could literally mean anything so I would rather not theorize about it. Time will tell.

Yeah they have done it in more than one ocassion. On top of my head is Chris revealing the "Viva La Vida" album title in a cryptic studio update video in december of 2007. So if they haven't already, they probably will at some point I think.

Have to admit I missed all the speculations posts in here. But gotta say, after AHFOD, I'm actually really pessimistic about the band's musical direction. I feel like they're at the point where they can release almost anything and it will still be successful, so there's really no need for them to do a "back to the roots album". We'll probably end up with a very safe sounding album with maybe 3 or 4 very/pretty good songs and that's it.

I like Amsterdam a lot.

Even with these all these updates about Guy being in LA, I'm still pretty sure late 2019 is when all things are going to break lose. I was sort of expecting for them to show up for any of the big summer festivals but well, certainly it won't happen this year. 2018 was, for sure, their off-year, just like we all expected.
