🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
I'm from South America and the expectations that I have is that the band will continue playing basically the same setlist from the European shows at every single gig. The only tweaks I see them doing are the potential local cover they'll do in the C Stage and maybe some Parachutes rare song in one of the brazilian shows. Regarding Coloratura, I have given all my hopes up of the band ever playing it again in a stadium show. But if it ever comes back I see it happening at one or two of the Buenos Aires shows.

Setlist opinions
Late response but the actual reason Sparks is so popular on Spotify now is because it went viral on Tik Tok earlier this year.

[2022-09-10] Rock in Rio Festival, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
I'm sure they'll play in Sao Paulo sometime between the Rio and Bogota concerts. Not sure when it will be confirmed though.

Kaleidoscope EP
I'm speaking for myself but is such a forgettable song. A product of a time when The Chainsmokers were relevant and Coldplay wanted/needed a hit to promote the 2nd half of the tour.

Three more Coldplay albums to come, last one in 2025
I'm actually ok with this. I do feel bad for all the new fans of the band but I think it's great they have a roadmap for what's coming ahead. While Coldplay's musical output has been pretty underwhelming for me in the past decade or so, they have always been a band centered around album releases and the whole aesthetic about them. Seeing them become a touring band is going to be quite a change but maybe this way they can explore things they haven't been able to do before (I for one would love a concert in which we can hear Parachutes/AROBTTH/VLVODAAHF played entirely).

AHFOD Era Leaks
Same. Not that hard to be better than most of MOTS Vol 1. though. Wonder what songs they left off MOTS this time. Were they really worse that Let Somebody go or Buityful?!

AHFOD Era Leaks
lmao I missed some good old Coldplaying drama. I knew something was up when Legends was uploaded on Youtube back during the MOTS hype monthts.

[2022-09-23] Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, Santiago, Chile
What happened today with Argentina is fucking crazy. Sadly I think a lot of scalpers are involved given how sketchy the company that sells the tickets is. I think Chile could easily get a 2nd concert on the 24th if the 1st one sells out quick enough. Can't say the same for Colombia and Peru, their dates don't add up to have a 2nd concert for each country. I noticed that the whole tour has a 2 day gap when they move to another country/city.

[2022-03-22] Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Is it selling well? Costa Rica already has two sold outs which is quite impressive.

First of all it's great to have Coldplay back in our "little" corner of the world. I agree that the time gap between the Chile and Argentina concerts is quite strange. Also Camila Cabello is not opening for them in Argentina (already anounced that it will be H.E.R.) so I think they're actually doing 2 legs in South America with a 1 month gap difference: 1. From Rock in Rio (September 10th) to Chile (September 23th). They still have to announce the brazilian cities they will be playing between Rock in Rio and the Colombia concert (a source mentioned Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Curitiba but didn't say dates). 2. From Argentina (October 25th) to November 7th/8th?. I'm pretty sure they will play at least two dates in Argentina and add a couple more brazilian ones. I can see them going to Uruguay and/or Paraguay to complete this leg as well.

Music of the Spheres World Tour Stage Setup
Yeah, seems very similar to the AFHOD set-up from the ticketmaster webpage. We'll just have to wait until March.

Music of the Spheres critic and user reviews
At this point I doubt the band cares too much about how well reviewed the album is. Like I said before, I truly think this is the music they want to release and they will get to tour it all over the world for the next year and a half.

I wouldn't say they were "big hits" per se. Certainly very popular songs but not comparable to ASFOS or SJLT. Those were inescapable songs lol. Btw I'm not saying the collabs are the problem. Most of them have been good and well structured pop songs in my opinion. I also believe the band is putting out there the music they genuinely want to but I understand the critics perspective of seeing this as looking for the most accessible and harmless music to maintain their status as "biggest band of the world".

Same. AHFOD is a far worst album imo. I think part of the reason the album is getting too much hate might be the obvious signs of the band of willingness to do anything to not fall into irrelevance. Their last "big hit" that wasn't a collab must be Paradise from a decade ago.

Seems like MOTS is heading to overthrone AFHOD as their worst reviewed album on Metacritic, Anydecentmusic and even Rate Your Music.

===The ultimate Oldplaying Thread===S, BS, TBR, P, AROBTTH, X&Y, VLV, PM===
Well, I didn't expect much from this album and still feel disappointed. Let Somebody Go and Biutyful must be their most dull and uninspired songs ever. Sad to say this but the album is being deservedly panned. Maybe their next "stripped back" album will be a good one. Sucks that they won't tour it at all. PS: I still think AFHOD is a worst album, though.

World Tour Setlist Predictions for MOTS Era
I think they'll continue with the trend of doing most of the songs from the new album, while keeping the usual hits with slight variations to mix things up a bit. I really really hope we get at least one Everyday Life song as a mainstay on the B Stage part of the concerts. Also I'm glad they seem to be giving Clocks the "pop up the crowd hit song" that was IMP and Yellow during the MX and AHFOD eras, respectively. And Chris doesn't seem to be lipsyncing to it so far!

late af to this but what a great song. we have been in need for a true "banger" since Major Minus.

Track 10 - My Universe | Coldplay X BTS | Music of the Spheres
is not bad and there are worst Coldplay songs

🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
am I a bad coldplayer for actually liking the BTS bits more than Chris'? Not so sure now that it's going to be a global hit but what do I know lmao. Overall, an okay song in my opinion but Coldplay has an can do pop way better than that.

Track 10 - My Universe | Coldplay X BTS | Music of the Spheres
Wait, so the leaked version is different from the one on Tik Tok? I havent' even heard the leak because reasons but from the comments seems like the song wouldn't be my cup of tea. Also, I think It's almost impossible for this single to flop because it has the BTS name attached to it.

🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
Little to not hype for this song for me. Haven't even felt like looking out for the leaked version. I do actually like some BTS songs so this one shouldn't be as bad as SJLT, right? right? ?

'M.o.t.S.' Definitive Edition (all territories)
Yup, pretty much this. It's a standard music industry practice and MOTS shouldn't be an exception.
