Well YouTube was very different back when I started doing covers. I never had a problem with it. But I agree with the blocking thing. They should just take any revenue instead of straight up blocking it.

So in the past I have put the original song in the background. Recently though I have only been using my piano audio and sometimes I will get a copyright notice. Sometimes it says I can't monetize but sometimes it gets blocked.

I have gotten a few strikes just from my own audio. I used to use the song as the backing track, but I stopped doing that. Now it seems like it doesn't even matter. It's super frustrating.

That last line... "love in a lethal dose". I said back in September that this might be the song 'Love in a Lethal Dose' that was written on a wall with other songs from the MX era. Looks like that could be the case. Definitely has a more Coldplay feel to it.

I felt the same exact way when I first heard it, but it has grown A LOT on me. I am actually really glad I listened to the leak because I was able to let the songs sit for almost two weeks before the live show. If I hadn't done that, the live streams would have been more underwhelming for me. So you are not alone in feeling that way, but give it some more time and you might like it a lot more. I agree with you though about it being short. It's a double album, but at the same time it's really not haha. Either way there are some killer songs on it! Church Trouble in Town Champion of the World Everyday Life Flags I like the others as well, but those are probably my top 5.

I'll do a recording as well just to have.
