not really a leak. NPR has been streaming the album for over 24hrs now. it is simply a rip of that stream.

Owen Hargreaves will be leaving Man Utd over the summer. can't help but have mixed feelings towards him. he did cost 20 million and only gave us 40 games in 4 seasons but i feel bad for the guy with all the injuries he has endured.

yeah they basically go in groups these days. they had Falls series then BDO series then One Night Stand series and now Soundwave. we might get a few random ones before they start with splendour.

i'm still waiting on the Sufjan LATW they promised us! this soundwave series has another 3 weeks in it. so sufjan is still a fair way off.

just listening to the gaslight anthem LATW. very weak :/

not too bad city. not too bad. i feel very sorry for fans of chelsea and arsenal. chelsea because they have an idiotic owner and arsenal because their team is a disaster. and an incredible 2011 for the merseyside teams. particularly everton who were hovering near the relegation zone at the halfway point of the season.

they're ridiculously expensive compared to american prices. thats one reason why i want to live in the US, the amazingly cheap gig tickets.

the Sydney scene is pretty decent. we've just had a quiet year so far. i don't get to see too many of the local acts live because i live a fair way out of the city. and i guess time and other interests get in the way stop me from taking a keener interest in the scene.

it was a reference to liverpudlians being called scousers and how man utd fans like throwing that slur at LFC fans. rather sad i need to explain that to a pom.

Blackburn might just end up regretting laying down arms against man utd last weekend. it is very tempting to stay up til 3am and see how it all unfolds but i might just bail and save my energy for exams.

i really like it too but i didn't get that "omg-this-is-outta-this-world" feeling i did when i first heard their debut. a big part of the appeal for me was the fact that they were so very unique and out there but now i feel familiar with the sound it has lost that impact. but the musicianship is undoubtedly impressive and the album flows very very well.

Foals are on Rage tonight. was watching the preview show this morning and they have a pretty broad taste. here is what they played. http://www.abc.net.au/rage/archive/s3218186.htm i've had the trial kennedy album on high rotation lately. sadly it's turned out to be just a whole lot of drum bashing and melodramatic vocals and half arsed guitar riffs.

i think there's more to a band than just their music. looking at the setlist they played in boston last night. they kicked off with Library Pictures, View from the Afternoon then Brainstorm. what a way to start! i really love it how they're shifting around the setlist every night.

do most americans like the way The Simpsons protray the american life? i think it is a brilliant piece of social commentary. i'm not sure if anyone else is like this. but i'm very patriotic towards my city. much more than i am towards the country.

we don't kill each other cos of religion. we kill each other because of greed, hatred, selfishness and stupidity. getting rid of religion won't stop the guy in the dark alley wanting to beat me up for my phone.

i don't think there's anything wrong with liking a band because they're the same age as you. it allows you to relate to the band so much better. as long as you like their music as well. there are a lot of bands out there whose music i have a lot of respect for, their albums are always near the top of my end of year lists but i would hardly call them one of my favourites simply because i don't relate to them as well as other bands. who might not have as many great albums but there's something about them (often inexplicable) that appeals to me. and there is no doubting AM has achieved an incredible amount for their age. they are hardly 25 and they've already headlined glastonbury and a ton of other festivals around the world and played stadiums around the UK.
