many have been comparing them to Les Savy Fav. i think the album should be make for interesting listening. i listen to another 3 or 4 of their songs and the sound is growing on me.

hey did anyone watch the full broadcast of Muse Live at Rock am Ring 2010 on MTV during the week. apparently they showed the entire set this time as opposed to in the past when they only showed 8 or 9 songs. i just watched the full gig and they did a pretty great job of it. hope download links turn up soon!

iniesta scored the winning goal in the world cup final didnt he? champions league final! biggest sporting event of the year and i aint taking arguments against that cos it's the truth! the way i see this game unfolding is wave after wave of barca attack with plenty of last ditch defending from man utd and incredible saves from van der sar and then the odd threatening counter attack from man utd. i can see hernandez giving a bit of grief to the barca defenders but how many opportunities he will get to do so is the worrying matter. i can see that being the game for the first 60 to 70 minutes. it's in the last 20 to 30mins i can see man utd being a lot more dangerous like they have been all season long. it's the period in which arsenal has caught barca napping on a couple of occasions. i don't see nani being much of a threat to barca but with valencia being fresh i really hope he has a killer game. when i compare the two teams in paper it is rather disheartening. when you look at the barca team you have 5 or 6 of the top 20 players in the world. when you look at man utd you'll struggle to find a spot for any of them except maybe vidic and nani. much of that would have to do with the fact that since the last time they met. barca has spent 150 million whereas man utd has spent a little over 30 and sold a 80 million pound man.

listening to Primary Colours tonight. there's something about punk music that feels so very empowering. i know this is post punk but those essential "i know i can't sing and our music is noisy but if you don't like it then you can fuck off" qualities are still there. i love it!

i'm not putting him ahead of Messi. i'm just saying they are comparable.

even 2nd encores are kinda meh if you're doing them at every show. foo fighters played BBC's Big Weekend this month and they were scheduled for a 1hr televised performance. at the end of the hour they played Everlong and walked off and then came back on and said " we're going to keep playing until they tell us to leave" and went on to perform 3 more songs. now that's an encore!

it's more of a formality and a tradition than anything else.

imo their last two albums were their strongest. but they had a horrible live reputation and their international success all but disappeared after their first hiatus. so basically another aussie band calling it quits cos they realised they were going no where in terms of popularity and they were sick of doing 8 aus tours on each album and then playing to 15 people in europe.

could you give me an example? almost invariably the encores are made of the bands biggest songs.

great album. a lot of variety throughout with plenty of indie anthems. it's nice to see a band live up to the hype. can't wait to see them live later this year.
