^^ thanks for that. it will save me having to do it. it was a really great interview with some interesting facts on that band. a second BDO show has been announced. which i guess means yet another Muse gig for Aus. wooo. this will be the 5th time the band has played a Sydney Big Day Out since 2004. there arent too many aussies band who have played that many.

the ticketmaster allocation is also gone. now only 10 000 ticket remain which will be distributed through a ballot system last night ticketmaster made available the tickets for a period of about 90mins. its unclear how many tickets went in that time, but the word spread like wild fire. when the tickets went on sale on the official website they dissapeared within 10mins. this morning at 9am the tickets officially went up on ticketmaster, they went in less than 5mins. the website malfunctioned making it impossible for people to buy online.

how about this acts as a discussion thread for the "official" Album of the Decade thread? fair?

pearl jam really do hate the idea of doing a greatest hits style setlist at music fests. but you can never have a bad show if you're ending the night with Rockin in a Free World.

we're comparing a band who have released 9 studio albums against a band who only brought out 3. not quite the best measure to compare the bands. looks like voting has slowed down. 5 days is enough time. if this was a political election then it would of been a landslide victory to Pearl Jam.

SOLD OUT SOLD OUT SOLD OUT bigdayout.com has sold all of its allocated tickets for the sydney leg of the BDO. it took less than 15mins. the remainder of the tickets go on sale 9am wednesday on ticketmaster. 10 000 have been put aside for a ballot system distribution. ticketmaster and big day out have confirmed that all tickets purchased on tuesday night due to a glitch on the ticketmaster website will be honoured.

double post alot of people have bought tickets. so ticketmaster will have to endure alot of abuse if this falls out

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA sydney BDO tix have gone on sale 3hrs early!! word is spreading fast that ticketmaster has opened its ticket sales!! and i've already bought mine and for 3 friends totaling almost $600. but now people are talking about ticketmaster cancelling those tickets and giving refunds and forcing those customers to buy again tomorrow. SOOOOO ANNOYING. certain organisations have been contacted in regards to action against ticketmasters headquarters in sydney if aforementioned tickets are cancelled. ;)

^^ by the way the line up is looking i will be spending most of my time around the smaller stages then heading to the main stages for powderfinger and muse.

^^ are they still the rumours that were floating around fasterlouder? i wouldnt be surprised if they do a show in melbourne also. im in a bit of a pickle. my exams finish on that day but im the first amongst my friends to finish so if i do go i will be by myself. on top of that im going to see pearl jam the next day which will involve standing in the pit for over 5hrs so i want to conserve my energy cos i'll be knackered after 3 three hr exams in 4 days. so at the moment i might give this the miss.

i didnt instantly love the song but i'm sure it will grow on me. i prefer White Sky at the moment. its going to take something pretty damn special to top their debut.

will this be their first instrumental? im not at all surprised, all 4 members are very very talented on their respective instruments. cant wait to hear it.

Fantasies is at the moment my 5th fave album of the year. anybody else putting it in their top 10 list?

haha. nirvana is the best grunge band ever. but pearl jam is the better music band. :cool:

i think its 95% probable that it will simply launch the album site. 5% chance that it will stream the new album.

they've set up this countdown on their website. http://www.ithinkuracontra.com/ its named after a track on their new album Contra scheduled to be released Jan 10 2010. but the countdown only has 5hours left on it. will it simply launch the site or will it give us the new album 3 months early?

is this the first time it has sold out before any bands have been announced? and have they sold all 140 000 tickets? or is this just a first release?

i hope they change that setlist. i will be devastated if i never see them play A Certain Romance and When The Sun Goes Down. they are by a long way my two favourite AM songs.

i think its pretty safe to say that pearl jam is the more popular band on cping. which isnt surprising, their music is much closer to coldplay's than nirvana's. would it be worthwhile having a Nevermind v Ten poll. or will all the votes go the same way. mine would actually go to Nevermind.

oh that didnt go to plan haha. i posted that a few months ago and totally forgot about it. nobody else was willing to come with me and i wasnt a genuine fan of any of the bands on the line up. you would make a good prosecutor ;)

i dont remember writing anything about paying 135 for anything. and i didnt go parklife............are you ok mate lol
