Roddick in big trouble now. would love to see Federer v Wawrinka in the quarters. kuznetsova v schiavonne was probably the greatest game of womens tennis i have ever seen. the two of them were still playing brilliant tennis even after 4hrs. amazing!

i sat down at about 5-30 to watch what i thought would be the end of the kuznetsova v schiavonne match. it's almost 8pm now and i am still sitting here enjoying this epic match.

nup all gone. it's funny thought how the worse australia becomes at tennis the more popular it becomes as a sport to watch on tv or at the ground.

OMG! would people stop quoting that stupid survey. they asked 4000 people in the entire country. theres almost 5 million of us living in sydney and loving it. but i think a lot of that animosity would have to do with how great it was living here straight after the olympics. things have really slowed down ever since.

Tomic played very well. it did not feel like i was watching no.1 v no.190. the first set was actually much closer than it looked. i think overall rafa only won 4 points more than tomic did. then when he had that double break in the 2nd i really thought he might shock us but he just couldn't keep up with rafa. i think if tomic works hard this year and if he goes to the right tournaments (that is, stay away from the clay courts) he might creep into the top 100 before he turns 20. on the other hand stosur was very very disappointing. we had great expectations of her. :(

really hope Soderling and Murray meet in the quarters. i can smell a classic coming up! at this stage of the womens draw i'm tipping Na Li to take it out.

it's actually Docklands Stadium (commercially known as Etihad Stadium) which is the biggest indoor stadium in the country with a capacity of about 55 000. It is actually usually used for aussie rules football and cricket which is why there is a large distance between the crowd and the field itself. The MCG similarly is used for the same sports which is why i'm not a big fan of either stadium being used for football. on the other hand the olympic stadium and SFS in sydney are rectangular and purpose built for football and rugby. re muscat. in his short time in the UK he earned himself 8 red cads and 76 yellows as well as ending the career of another player who sued him for $6 million but only got 600 000 out of him. he has been absolutely hammered this morning by our media. Note: i have a slight sydneysider bias here :P

i can relate to violet here. i usually dont give a damn when someone criticises a band i really like. rather i take pity on them cos their lives are obviously crappy enough that they need to spend their time talking about something they don't like. but when it comes to pearl jam i can't handle people calling them shit because their music is very personal to me.
