2009 albums worth hearing
I didn't like any of the records released until now. I didn't expect U2 album to be good, specially after a lame single like Get On Your Boots According to their later retrospect (ignore their first albums, they don't count since that U2 era is gone), one third of their albums are really good. eg: Achtung Baby - Zoroopa - Pop - All That You Can't Leave Behind - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - No Line On The Horizon - ? And The Prodigy's album isn't as good as I expected. Far from bad, but not good enough to great. So I stick with regular/good.

Briggins random list: Top 10 female vocalists
They said their next album is ready to be released, and they just want to find a better label. There is no release date yet, but you can listen to one of it's tracks, called Long Live The Fallen World, which themselves made avaliable for free. I'm really looking forward to their album!

Briggins random list: Top 10 female vocalists
I'm so friggin' surprised that Catherine McCandless is in your list. And I'm surprised that someone else knows YG here. GREAT singer, GREAT band.

The thread where anyone can talk about anything
Meus parabéns, querida co-irmã européia! Quantos aninhos, minha rapariga? ______________________________________________ @Naish: I heard that DTS video systems are even better. But nothing beats XviD when talking about audio compression. (Yeah, it's a geek joke, in case you didn't get it. If you're not a geek, don't even waste your time trying to understand it)

Dark Coldplay
The darkest song ever is "Easy To Please". The wind, the keyboards, the piano, the chord progression, the vocals, the lyrics.

U2
The song had a good idea (guitar riffs, bass line). All these efforts were destroyed by its vocals. Freakin' lame and obvious vocal line.
-
U2
@Dejan I agree with you. Weak song. If this was just an album filler, I wouldn't mind, but this is the FIRST SINGLE, for Christ's sake!

U2
I hope I'm wrong, but I guess this new album will be the little brother of Pop.

The Funniest things your parents/family ever did/say about Coldplay
My father said Chris looks like lettuce seller. So stupid that I laughed a lot

What do you think?
Actually, I like the original better. The original one sounds warmer. The OSM had its tempo raised, which completely removed the warm feeling. PS: I misvoted for "Same as the original".

help with Yes for guitar
I can't test it cause I just can't play guitar, but HERE is it. I'll try to convert it for a piano tab, then I'll test it.
-
Whats the difference?
Let an audiophile speak for you guys. * The mastering is different: you can hear more of the background keyboards. * The hi-hat is louder. * New backing vocals. * The OSM is slightly (2-4%) faster, which makes the song proper for radio listeners (in its original version, it might sound a little "slow"). * The "hiatus" between each chord of the honky-tonky intro is shorter (about 7%).

what do you think?
@Ziggy Is there a version of NMFWTTG with Will vocals that I'm not aware of? Anyway, good song. It fits perfectly as a closer. It should be the hidden track of Death And All His Friends.

Early X&Y promo with alternate tracklist: True or False?
Hey, guys. I read somewhere (actually, in a torrent site) that an early promo copy of X&Y was released with the following tracklist: X1 Talk X2 Low X3 The Hardest Part X4 Speed of Sound X5 What If X6 X&Y Y1 Square One Y2 White Shadows Y3 Fix You Y4 A Message Y5 Twisted Logic Y6 Swallowed In The Sea ('Til Kingdom Come is not present) I downloaded a FLAC copy of it (only covers included, no LOG or CUE included), the songs are exacly like the final version of the album (except for the gaps, a bit longer in this version). The covers are of poor quality, I couldn't detect any fake at the covers (the poor quality could cover the fakes). DISC COVER BACK COVER A 320kbps copy of "How You See The World No. 1" is included in the torrent, although the cover doesn't mention this song as part of the tracklist. No further info was given. Did anyone ever hear about this promo copy with alternate tracklist? Does anyone have this promo copy?

The funniest thread of the year!
Let's vote! What is the funniest thread of the year, in your opinion? I vote for "Cold game must die", by Yakabu. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: PS: The thread title should be "Coldplay must die", but his translator sucks, so it changed "play" for "game".

What is Prospekt's March & What is Poppyfields
@Famous Old Painters This is the first announced playlist for our so-called LP4 (untitled then). Obviously, it was changed later, closer to the release (the final playlist was announced on April 10th). As you can see, "Poppy Fields" (there, two words, read my idea above for further info) was going to be Track #4 and Prospekt's March was going to be Track #11. Despite that, "Prospekt's March" and "Poppyfields" or "Poppy Fields" (you can't determine whether its one or two words looking at VLV booklet) are seen together in VLV booklet, we can conclude that inicially, they were separated songs, then they made a song called "Prospekt's March/Poppyfields" (which is Prospekt's March and an excerpt of Poppy Fields) and planned to add it to the album, being dropped at the final tracklist. --------- I think that the outro is just an excerpt of the song called "Poppy Fields", because you can see there's no natural start and end for this song, just a fade in and a fade out. I also think that this excerpt of "Poppy Fields" is called "Poppyfields". Oasis inserted two excerpts of "Swamp Song" in (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, why can't Coldplay insert an excerpt of Poppy Fields in the Prospekt's March EP?
