  1. i'm assuming since it just accepted my submission, i should be getting a ticket come June 9th. if not, oh well.. it was worth a shot. if so, i just hope security lets me in the day of the show, even if I don't share your friends first or last name. nevertheless, my infinite thanks to you, Boriherter. infinite thanks. your friendly gesture alone made my day :)
  2. you can take the 1, 2 or 3 train downtown to 34th Street (Penn Station) and walk down to 33rd Street and 7th Avenue. it takes about 15 minutes altogether just sent you a PM as well Boriherter i live in Ridgewood, Queens which is about 30 minutes to Madison Square Garden. like tf1921, i don't expect to win anymore.. your generosity will be duly and highly appreciated :)
  3. totally looking forward to said upload. one full hour. crazy :)
  4. by the sounds of the ending of Life in Technicolor, it's definitely supposed to blend into Cemeteries of London but the beginning of Cemeteries seems to start a few seconds before the ending of LiT. the official LiT should blend in.
  5. the bit after the chorus is genius. it's the epitome of catchy.
  6. a strange yet beautiful track the bit right after the chorus reminds me of the strings part in Paper Tiger by Beck good stuff :)
  7. 42 is amazing but Lost is something else. That drum really makes the song. It sounds so powerful. I can only imagine how it going to translate live.
  8. i sincerely hope not. i thought for sure i would've landed one. nevertheless, thanks for the update.
  9. what a shame.. congrats to everyone that won. i was so sure i was gonna win :( especially since i live in nyc! haha.
  10. were all the winning tickets sent out? is june 5th irrelevant now?
  11. positive thinking indeed :) though it is hard, waiting i mean :/
  12. So I went to my local park earlier and sat on a bench, listening to X&Y and looking at the sky and sulking because I haven't won a ticket yet, when a little girl walked up to me, saying something I couldn't hear with my earphones on. I paused in the middle of Low and asked, "Sorry, what?" She looked me in the eyes and said, "Mister, please don't cry." I hadn't even realized I was crying...
  13. i hope i win sometime soon. it feels awful waiting like this.
  14. whoa.. haha when did this happen?
  15. seriously, use http://www.maps.live.com the bird eye view is something else you can't tell anything just by looking at the rooftops of buildings with maps.live, you get a good idea of the dimension of the buildings and you can look at the sides of them, etc. also, the one thing i noticed in the LiJ video is that there appears to be two tall buildings (definitely one) in back of Chris and Jonny and it looks exactly like the tall building on Lawn Road and Upper Park Road. probably isn't it. actually, most likely isn't it. but yeah. its important to pay attention to what's around the Bakery and several large windows are also in clear view from said tall building. there also seems to be a black balcony right outside the window. etc. i tried finding it last night and came up with a few close ones but they didn't match it's harder than i thought. i probably passed it a thousand times by now.
  16. plz tell me you got it just now, as in within the 10 o'clock gives me hope haha.
  17. i didn't mean to make it sound like ONLY NYers are getting into the show. i just meant that it isn't a coincidence that the majority of winners so far as NYers being that the show is taking place there. though many of you would have no problem taking a plane out in the coming weeks, most people didn't even register based on proximity issues alone. hopefully in a day or two, we all post about how lucky we are to have won. and again, let's keep all our fingers crossed.
  18. i can't help but laugh. not because i think it's strange, which i don't, but because i can imagine tons of people getting worked up about it. i'm an agnostic theist, so i tend not to get fired up about stuff like this. i find it interesting and hope he's at least being honest about it.
  19. how is that a coincidence, if MSG is in Manhattan? the majority of winners are naturally going to be from the NY area. i wish you the best though.
  20. i'll definitely be there.
  21. i find http://www.maps.live.com pretty helpful. it's no google streetview (they need to shoot London soon..) but there's a "bird's eye" view with four different side angles. happy stalking :) jk The whole idea of the Bakery reminds me of the Wilco Loft in Chicago. a cozy, warm, book-filled, musical instrument laden, homey labyrinth. haha.
  22. wow. i just finally heard these. Lovers in Japan has such a great vibe to it. and Yes is just absolutely perfect, a beautiful exercise in new forms of instrumentality.
  23. i'm hoping the same thing. maybe today was the first day of emails and thursday will be the last. everyone on here deserves to win.
