  1. by the way, I KNEW that the rules were simply a scare tactic. the whole thing about them knowing "just by looking at the ticket" and someone's friend saying something about how MSG got people to check ID's. hahah. they simply scanned them and we were all in :) nothing but a manipulative scare tactic. but hey, that means that Tom's crew, including me, got in and enjoyed the show. that said, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Tom, sooooo much for giving me your extra ticket. You are generosity incarnate and a true gentlemen. May you fly back home safely. Goodnight everyone.

  3. Jesus. Christ. My first Coldplay show (and a free one at that) was just simply beautiful. In short (because I don't have time to write a coherent and otherwise non-brief review) this show was truly amazing and the magic balls were so cool and popped up out of nowhere. and the lights, the crowd, the energy. there was nothing BUT energy. it was a bit short, but it was after all free and the encore bit only made it seem shorter. but, a beautiful show all in all. Fix You was the highlight. I can't wait to relive that sing along through YouTube videos. Immensely beautiful. and to the people that sat around Section 96, you got the surprise of the lifetime with Yellow. you were essentially in Section 2 for two songs. haha. :) anyway.. amazing show. the 3rd in my top three. more tomorrow.
  4. man i wish i could be moved to the floor. my brother's girlfriend knew someone that worked there (and probably still works there) in 2003 and I got to see Radiohead for free in Section 2. It was an amazing feeling to just walk down there knowing I hadn't payed a nickel. They might give you a green wristband. That's what I got. Hopefully it goes down for you. hope everyone has fun tonight :)
  5. Perfect for sure. Thanks for that Polka. I can't wait for tomorrow night :)
  6. I seriously doubt ID's will even be checked at all. I'm willing to bet money that security will just simply scan all of our tickets and let us find our seats. I'll either be right or wrong come Tuesday morning, but my gut feeling tells me that authority works in the funniest and most manipulative of ways. Happy free Coldplay show to you all :)
  7. bluexylophone replied to Batman's topic in Coldplay
WOW, that's seriously awesome. props on making that :)
  8. did everyone get the two red wristbands? or just us? is this what everyone means by brackets? haha.
  9. about seeing Chris' back, i assure you there will be huge screens set up with multiple angles of Chris and the guys onstage. and it's funny because I just saw R.E.M. at MSG yesterday and I was in Section 8 and looked back at Section 220's or so and they aren't that bad. Sure, it isn't like being in the first few rows, but it sure as hell beats the nosebleed 300's/400's another thing, even though the show last night wasn't free the staff really didn't seem to worry to much about rules and regulations, but rather just wanted to help people and be able to work. i'm pretty sure the whole ID thing is just to scare off scalpers. to enforce it would take too much time. which means we'll all get in. and i can't wait :)
  10. hey Boriherter crew i haven't been online in a couple of days and desperately need an update haha. i just read his email about emailing Debs (who is Debs, anyway?) and supposedly she deleted the fake names etc, so that's awesome news but i'm just a bit confused and need some reassurance haha. seems like we're all gonna get in though :)
  11. Awesome, thanks so much :)
  12. Got my confirmation email, thanks to the God of the Underworld Even came with a USPS tracking number (phew) I'm about 90% sure that everything is going to work out perfectly and we'll all get in. I'm just curious to know what's in the bubble package, if there's anything besides the tickets.. hmm.. and again, Tom, I can't thank you enough, so thank you! :)
  13. this is definitely a 4 record.
  14. so beautiful you have to say it three times haha ;)
  15. it's not the progression of the song i have a problem with it's that 2:18 introduced a whole new part of the song in a kind of abrupt way unlike 1:48 to 1:52, which acts as a perfect bridge to the "Status Quo" bit AgeSix is talking about. i don't hate it, it just sounds a bit weird. i guess it's because the 2:18 bit starts on the fourth beat of the measure, instead of the first. still, it's a very very beautiful song.
  16. hahah such a great news. congrats :)
  17. "America's public image at the moment is really bad. And it's a bummer, because over half of Americans are the coolest people on the planet. But they've been so misrepresented." bingo.
  18. haha i know what you mean, but it sounds so GOOD you can't help but move your body along to it :) the only thing that bugs me about this song is at 2:18 when they abruptly get into the "Death and all of his friends" bit of the ending. It seems to come out of nowhere. haha.
  19. Chris' comment that he felt like "a bit of a failure.. but never gonna give up" also lends itself to this interpretation.
  20. yes. please post them mayurshikotra :)
  21. that's actually the best way to look at it. haha.
  22. hahah yeah. it's a bit reminiscent of Waterloo Sunset. "dirty old river, must you keep rolling" etc
  23. someone's just gonna have to ask Chris for the lyric to that one line. i don't get it haha.
  24. MY NERVES ARE POLES THAT UNFROZE finally haha.
