  1. Right, I am awake. 7 am here. I am ready...but isn't there the italian interview first? I am listening to some strange italian song on the radio station, no Coldplay so far
  2. Going to bed so I can be up bright and early tomorrow for "A day full of dreams" :) Cant wait to buy it, listen to it and geek about it in the forums! haha What a great early Christmas gift for all of us Coldplayers :) Good night you all! See you tomorrow. Enjoy the album for those who are already listening to it :)
  3. It looks like they dont sell single songs but only albums or EPs/official singles, so yeah not a substitute for iTunes for me :/ When buying an album, I go vinyl/CD but I use iTunes a lot for single downloads
  4. Incidentally I just found out Tidal has opened a download store, which I am considering using once my free subscription runs out. Maybe its good bye iTunes, hello Tidal for me hehe I really appreciate the high fidelity bonus.
  5. I dont think there is such a store I am afraid, at least Ive not been able to find one here in LA. The closest I´ll come to a goodie experience will be grabbing a cup of Gingerbread latte at Starbucks while securing my vinyl copy at Barnes N Noble hehe Hopefully it will be on Tidal soon, cant see it there yet.
  6. I cant see it available on Tidal yet :/
  7. I have Tidal too, got the free month subscription thingy, I just remembered now *LOL* Thanks for reminding me haha So I may be able to listen to the album already tomorrow morning! :)
  8. I went through a realisation about her being the one around September/October and decided to come over then, so it was still unclear back then if they would even release something this year at all hehe So no it was not a case of me following the Coldplay vibe but the other way around, the vibe followed me hehe :)
  9. ^THIS! Unfortunately my life being a roller coaster as it is I usually dont have time for online forums anymore :/ But I am glad I was able to check back now up to the release day and I am finding the forums more enjoyable than ever! Such a delight to share this with all of you in the community of Coldplayers.
  10. I hear ya, though I dont see this as a jinx as initially it was connected with us getting together as she was the one who gifted me the copy of the album :) Later on I was thankful Ghost Stories was there to help me cope with everything. It was truly the perfect soundtrack. Matter of fact so was MX for me in 2012, so I am kinda hoping Ahfod bodes very well and 2016 will be a bang super joyful year for me! hehe To tell you the truth that is why I am in Cali right now, I realised she is the one and so I have come to the States to get her back. I arrived here as the first hints of Adventure were released so once again I have Coldplay to soundtrack me through the defining moments of my life. They are the best :)
  11. Speaking of Ghost Stories and Target. Back then I got the CD from a girl who would then become my girlfriend within two months or so of GS release. She bought it for me in Target because of the special edition with bonus tracks. Said girl is to this day the love of my life and we broke up in August a few days before True Love was released as a single.... speaking of the perfect soundtrack for both wonderful and saddest moments all related to one person in a particular span of time!
  12. Mentally preparing to get out of the flat at 8 tomorrow so I can be securing myself one of the four vinyls at the local Barnes, then off to take some pics for the "unpacking" thread and then home to listen to it :D Ahhhhh I cant wait for tomorrow :D
  13. Jedi Leo replied to Coeurli's topic in Everglow
Chris explained the origin of the song title to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 and he even threw in a cereal commercial analogy *lol* Worth a listen :)
  14. The CD online with stickers? :) I love streaming for convenience but as far as music quality goes CD or Vinyl is the only way to go for me or lossless downloads. You miss quite a few nuances by just going with the streamed version.
  15. My most recent purchase is Superman Earth One comics 1-2-3 :)
  16. The closest we come to a special release must be the 2-LP vinyl plus stickers on the online store. I kinda miss the single release as we used to have. I mean even with MX we had quite a few single releases, but so far nothing from ahfod. I hope for upcoming special releases.
  17. I´ve known Coldplay since Yellow of course, loved Clocks and all Rush of Blood but still was not a fan fan, then really got into them from X&Y and been a super fan ever since. They shifted sound in practically every release, so its something I kinda got used to from early on. I mean even Parachutes is radically different from A Rush in many ways. I think what a lot of people dont "dig" is the pop sound, because its deemed too commercial. I was kinda skeptic in the beginning but I came to agree with Chris when he says a good song is a good song, no matter the genre. I´ve absolutely loved all their latest releases, probably more than the old ones but not because they are better, but because they are more joyous and I am more in tune with that in the latest years of my life as well :) I am not sure Coldplay ever wanted to be defined in one genre only...thats probably the reason behind their journey to break free of the "genre shackles". And Ill say this: I believe they will keep changing, thats how they keep it fresh and hungry after all :)
  18. Oh tough one...I´ll try: 1- A head full of dreams (I am already loving Adventure more than any other single before it & I have a great feeling about this album) 2- Mylo Xyloto (it was a beginning of a new era in my life, the beginning of my life really and this album marked it so wonderfully. It will always be special to me) 3- Ghost Stories (it has one of my favourite tracks ever in it: Sky Full of stars , which means a lot to me for personal reasons. I went through my most major breakup ever during the release of this album, so every song has been played to death and resonated with me so much, helped me get through it) 4- Viva La Vida (I went through 3 concerts from this era so I have great memories of it and I love the revolutionary colourful vibe it has!) 5- X&Y (my first Coldplay concert and despite being bloated still a good album) 7- Rush of Blood (Clocks and Green Eyes is very personal to me, Politik is still their best rocking tune) 6- Parachutes (Actually I have a fond memory of the song Spies, the very first Coldplay song I ever heard, but I discovered the rest of the album much later on so no particular strong feelings associated with it) Edit: I just only now realised I listed their albums in inverse order of release. lol Guess I am kinda in tune with where the band is going then perhaps? Lets hope it continues to be so ! :)
  19. Hmm I remember walking down Charing Cross Road with a pal. We passed a street cd seller or stand cant remember and he went "hey have you heard of this band? Coldplay? They just released this album Parachute, they are pretty good!" Thats how I first heard of them, but I seriously got into them with the release of X&Y, as it was mega hyped and so I decided to have an early listen online at the stream and I ´ve been hooked ever since :) Edit: Actually I think I heard of them for the very very first time in the Mercury Award compilation CD where they featured with the song "Spies". I had no idea who they were but the song haunted me for days :)
  20. I dont either. You're not alone, despite what they might tell you *lol*
  21. Michael Stipe feat. Chris Martin - In the Sun
  22. So its up for purchase now on BnN website, but when I click on "pick up in store" it says "not in stock"....pfff as if there aren't already copies in store waiting to be sold tomorrow morning bright and early! Guess I cant reserve it. Ill have to show up at 9 am. *groans* Edit: the New York store has it in stock though...why oh why? I have to solve this BnN mystery by midnight. The game is afoot.
  23. Good luck with that! cant imagine a better album to pump oneself up with hehe :)
  24. I dont know. I am kinda agreeing with Jonny when he said once "there is bad polka and good polka" LOL A good song is a good song, no matter who wrote it, what genre, age or "trend"/lack thereof associated with it. Maybe its a simplistic view but its what I relate to as well.
